My hob roscoe is the main man not that big bit smaller than a standard Jill he’s a pure ratting machine he’s never seen a live rabbit as there isn’t any good rabbit ferreting around me . He doesn’t eat the rats , if they don’t bolt he kills them in the hole drags them back out and goes back for more and I swear he finds the rats like a hound he just lives to work and has a pure hatred for rats he can be abit nippy but never locked he’s just abit wild ? when he’s working with the terrier it’s game over for any rat in the area ?9 points

Going off their ages and genders I'd say the worst thing that will happen is your house getting trashed from them constantly playing and arsing around.4 points

Had a few short sessions this week got a few out, only fish lures and it seems tricky getting conditions right in yorkshire, slight bit of wind and water colours up.4 points

I've got my self collie x whippet x saluki pup he's 12 weeks old. Since I got him I started the training sit, stay, recall and retrieve. been doing some off lead walks lately(I have to bite the bullet one day and to be fair his recall is alot better than most of the adult dogs we come across while out and about) anyway we was out walking with the kids and he's about 30 odd feet away and I see another dog approaching so called his name to get his attention and then raised my hand for the sit command without saying the word sit and he did it straight away! I was well over the moon I know it pro3 points

From what I have seen/ heard from the alaunt types in recent years is they are being bred for there size and look, probably with the thought that they could do what ordinary bull x’s could do but only better because of there size and weight, when in reality they don’t come close, big shite houses that look the part when getting it there own way but their arse collapses the first sign of getting it sore. They will keep being bred and bought by people who don’t use them or who are easily pleased purely because they are look the part and make money.3 points

I have had a few outstanding Ferrets over the years but one sticks out a big Fitchitt gill ! a very fast killer which suited me at the time , most of what i have had over the years have been good workers but there was something about this animal i liked though if you show a Ferret plenty of Rabbits they get better and better .3 points

Had this jill a few years ago now. She was a terrific finder which when your on your own doing thick hedge is great because what ever hole you put her in she got straight to business with no messing about. This was her last trip out and she struggled and was gone few months later3 points

If you can't beat them.... But why have they made the bottles 250ml?? Nobody has ever said "I wish my beer was smaller!"2 points

shes doing ok mate; i dont care if she breaks even, if it keeps her busy and happy though. she started out of boredom and was giving them away and costing me a fortune. shes managed to get a small reliable customer base now and has got a website sorted, plan is for her to have a shop hopefully early next year. she is good at em but is never really happy with her own work which really bugs me ?2 points

If they get along on the walk when you get them home I’d leave the new dog on a lead for the first hour and see how they take to each other in her territory after that if it’s all good leave him off and just keep an eye out for the day should be all good!2 points

well, as it dog and bitch intro , your bitch will be the boss, and put him in his place, unless he nasty temp dog , you wont hve a prob, and if he nasty temp animal, i deff think twice about having anyway. with lurchers in general they norm sort there selves out. you find in racing kennels , its dog / bitch kenneled together , never to male greyhounds , you get few bitches together , but as greyhounds can be killers once they fight , it 95% dog/ bitch.2 points

Generally from good stock and get plenty of graft , had a few over the last 43 years of ferreting ,had 2 brothers identical to look at one was brilliant bolter so I used him with the hawks his brother pure killer so used him when out to get the money ,to tell them apart had to keep cutting fur square on the end of one,s tail , both lived to a ripe old age and sired plenty of kits2 points

You made the right choice seen a few around me and who i know and their life is a whirlwind of shit the easy option is to put a pair of work boots on every day and once the working day is done it's done without some cant trying to tax you or the old bill bashing down your door.2 points

Mine has to be Frank but I haven't had many ferrets to compare, I've only got seven seasons of ferreting behind me, my mate let me go out with him on his permission to see if I liked it before I commited to buying all my own ferreting equipment, well from the first time I went out, I loved it!!! it just felt like something I was meant to be doing, and loved catching my own tea. So he gave me two Jill ferrets to start me off, I bred Frank from Fidget one of the jills the next year. Frank grew into a massive hob but was the most gentle ferret, never bit me once or anybody else, my mate took2 points
