I’m not reading about thatas I cant focus after reading stuff like that but I had the misfortune today to listen to several news reports regarding that animal who murdered Sarah everard today . inn-this day and age , with the use of forensics and technology, to trace , define and appropriate blame to a suspect , I can’t understand why the death penalty is not in the cards6 points

Funny really, I used to browse here quite a while back when I was a lanky teenage lad roaming round with terriers and ferrets - encouraged by my grandfather as ‘if you’re busy with dogs you’re too busy to get in to any other sort of trouble.’ How wrong he was eh. There was an array of scatterbred little things and they kept me busy at the time. All gone now as time took them one by one, and it’s a bit like a different world fifteen/sixteen years later. I never really got seriously involved in stuff and kept myself to myself as really was only ever bothered with bushing and mooching, as just li5 points

I like the one where the ball went over the fence at training, 'ill get it boss' and climbs over the fence. Climbed back over 2 days later during training with said ball ?4 points

I think it depends what your goals are.....the withdrawal of information is always going to require a quicker more intense feeling of pain as every second counts meaning a higher level of desperation is needed to hold the person in a state of concentrated fear in order to get sensible, focused answers as opposed to panicked " say anything " type replies......but yes, with pure punishment in mind slowly slowly catchy monkey is order of the day.....infact a blunt peeler with a 0.5 - 1mm depth guage gives more of a " Chinese burn " effect giving the person initial hope......until constantly going o4 points

Anythings worth what someone is willing to pay but to pay good money for such poor quality animals is just the epitome of the low standards and lack of pride within the pet dog world of today in my opinion.4 points

Well I was up at 3.30am and set up on the ground for just after 4. Misty grey morning and birds still in bed. It's not ideal where I was shooting as the birds were coming from behind me and spotting me in the hide. I had to take kneeling shots but still shot well. No birds decoyed at all I had to rely on my trusty jackdaw caller and call them in. Great few hours shooting and packed up once the public started appearing. Bag of 45 .....42 corvids , 1 magpie, 2 woodies. Couldnt pick many as dropped into cover behind me or in the barley.4 points

The lad from up the road from me today equalled the Tour De France stage win record , Eddie Merkzy (spelling) had the record of 34 wins , what an achievement from a kid from a little island absolutely unreal , just thought I’d share it here.3 points

Sometimes I head out with just the busher. If he catches in cover and the Lurchers aren’t there he will retrieve. He’s quite quick but wouldn’t catch one in the open.3 points

Same as when I was a kid. Called them border/Lakeland but were not a cross between the 2. If they were born white then they were Jack Russell's.3 points

Not everybody has that opportunity but should make it a priority whatever the hassle. Cheers, D.3 points

If I’m honest about the one on the lamp, it was too busy looking over its shoulder laughing at the deerhound x it didn’t see the Russel bitch that T boned it from left field like a raptor out of Jurassic park ?3 points

It's not allways about numbers. Not to long ago, I was lucky enough to be invited to the Cairngorms for a weekend, by Northernlite and Taysider. We had a fantastic time, but one naysayer mocked the fact we "only" caught 73 rabbits and ten white hares. But it wasn't about numbers, it was about the whole experience; catching quarry I had never even seen before, running on grounds I'd never done before, seeing golden eagles floating in the sky above our heads, sitting in front of a roaring fire in the shooting lodge enjoying the craic and a drink, seeing other types of dogs run.3 points
