  4. Funny you say that about him catching your eye as same happened with me, I followed the dogs progress then asked foxpack could I use the dog he said yes, so I used Brian and also a son of Brian over my other bitch and I’ve had some great results and couldn’t be happier with what I have now. I’ll be keeping this blood tight with a couple more matings over the next 10 years, for what I do they are the perfect type

  7. Have to say he caught my eye a few years back now and iv'e followed posts about him,bit funny i know but i'm fond of the old boy and it's great to see him being slowed down as such rather than being left behind. That in itself speak volumes about you chaps who've been looking after him during his hunting life and i wish him,you and your lad the very best for the rest of it...

  11. I'd gladly try a bedlington if you wanna put me forward to owner of pups and dog will be garunteed earth work every week if it made the grade and wasn't €2000 to start with. Tried getting a bedlington to try but they seem impossible to get or impossible to get a reply back.. If people wanted to keep the bedlington alive why wouldn't they sell to any working home? been part of a circle of 5 people ain't going to save any breed either. Atb fenman

  15. ? In the wild, many animals have to find a way to compensate for, and somehow survive, terrible injuries,...they have no other choice. By the same token, not all creatures make the cut,..most succumb and die. As for lurchers with 'problems',...well,.. I have watched my own (and a few others belonging to fellow enthusiasts),..try to get by and do their job,...but in most cases it is patently obvious that their lives would be a whole lot easier, if they did not have a disability..I've never found that a dog which has lost one sense to have miraculously aquired another one? ..This woul

That top paragraph you wrote you could replace cat with homo erectus, ffs there non existent, not even a one full skeleton, but you still BELEIVE it. Would suit you better if you could find homo erectus instead of waffling on here.

  26. The class is only lightly armed and nothing in the strike group has the capability of launching ballistic missiles. Frankly ballistic missile defence is a greater concern than being able to launch our own. Nonetheless we are sending a world class carrier strike group on a six month tour to the other side of the planet and frankly there’s only one other nation on earth capable of doing that unilaterally. Although on this deployment and most other there will be allied assets supporting us we retain the capability for a fully sovereign strike group. For the first time in decades it look

  27. I know it doesn’t but we brought the dangerous animals act in, in 1976 which led to zoos being inundated with unwanted animals and when they couldn’t accommodate them the options were take them to the vet and have them pts I or take them to a desolate place and turn them loose, which was not illegal until 1983 hence the beast of Bodmin,Dartmoor, exmoor the Cotswolds etc Ireland only came in line in 2004 which would probably lead to a similar situation, the big question is did some of these animals breed and start a naturalising population or are people still releasing them, from what I’ve seen

  28. Scratch dogs are dogs that race off a level start, no handicap or weight advantages. They are the heavier dogs. Usually racing in weight classes of up to 36lb, up to 45lb, and up to 55lb, and sometimes "no limit" Non-peds are simply whippets that aren't KC registered, and most have some greyhound blood in their makeup. A Saluki/whippet/grey wouldn't be classed as a non-ped whippet, but an old rule at my local clubs states " dogs must be smooth coated and of whippet like appearance ", so, if it looks like a whippet, it could have anything in its makeup and it would be up to the

Ideal for cutting leather or anything else where you would run the blade along a straight edge. Another go at the egg units/cricket pitch/ stables for the rabbits, bumped into the owner when I got there and he said go wherever you want, which was nice of him, I got the rifle out the back and realised I’d left my sticks up at the shoot last night ( bugger ) so free hand it would have to be, now I can’t remember the last time I shot without sticks and it showed. I still accounted for 19 in a little over an hour, missing a good half dozen, this place is a ferreting lads dream, every hedge back is just one big set, with access to both sides, when I was leaving I bumped into another lad who a

  42. Hi,..I've owned and worked a couple of Bilaterally Deaf lurchers,...it was emotional..? For a working dog, not having full command of its faculties is a definitate handicap,.even more so if the malady causes the animal to be a bit on the nervy, spooky side. Schooling such animals is always going to be difficult, and as such it requires a whole lot of thinking, 'outside the box'.... Personally,...its an experience that I would not wish to repeat....?
