  1. Aye that’s why I’m making an attempt here, and not taking her to a kennels or something daft. I knew when I put the post up I would get the usual ‘shoot her’ suggestions. I’m not doing that and I’m sure I will find a decent home for her. As much as most folk are w*nkers there are also plenty decent folk out there, and plenty of dogs find a decent home.

I went to a decent fellas house off here ,I won't mention his name or how many fingers he's got ,first thing his lovely missus does is organise a beautiful big bacon butty on crusty fresh bread dripping with butter and a nice cuppa ,down side was I had to watch as the Angel of death ripped into his like he d hadn't been fed for a month making a lip smacking grunting noise that you could hear three doors down .

  4. I seriously can not imagine any of my mates turning up at mine to watch porn, I've honestly never been asked to put porn on for a mate... not my thing to judge, but certainly not for me and if a "mate" came round and said put the porn on he'd be f****d off no questions.....

  7. Like all of us, I have seen threads go off on strange tangents over the years on THL but from “Enjoying a pint in my bar” to “Paddy pops round for a ten minute session to watch German spunk fest” has got to rank up there amongst the strangest surely ?

  8. It’s got nothing to do with virtue signalling or being holier than thou, I’m sure every red blooded bloke has looked at porn.......that’s one thing. Quiet another thing is to nip round the neighbours and say “Here, do us a cup of tea and pop on Anal Babes for ten minutes will you” I mean, what the f**k do you say to that ?......”yeah, there’s the biscuit tin, help yourself !!” Each to their own like but in my world, that’s really f***ing weird.

  10. Its much easier said than done rehoming a dog to a nice forever family. If it was that easy to rehome the rehoming kennels would be empty with a waiting list, not always full to capacity.

  12. I'll accept that I'm a bit old fashioned and maybe a bit of a prude ,but I would consider anyone who watches porn on a regular basis a bit weird ,so someone knocking and asking if they could watch it at my house would definitely have me reaching for a bat ,I hate being judgemental but I deserve the right to be repulsed by knicker sniffing ,porn addicted wronguns who think it's perfectly normal behaviour .

  13. I know a few lads that have taken dogs on and they have suited them and they have had a great working life. Be interesting to know how many people who spout the usual ‘put a bullet in it’ would or have seen it through. Unless it was seriously injured or had attacked my kids, I couldn’t do it.

  14. Personally I don't see the point of putting down a good dog when it can have a good life some where else or stay where it is if needs be. Just because it can't go like shit off a shovel. At least its with the right person now making sure she sorted for the future. Plenty are not

  16. Recently finished this knife. I made it for a "knife in the hat" draw over on EM forum. The style is Kiridashi so ground on one side only with the other flat like a chisel. Ideal for cutting leather or anything else where you would run the blade along a straight edge. 17. Had a walk around haweswater today with a good mate of mine. The weather was great sun beaming down on us all day with a nice little breeze(packed me big coat) but it was t shirt weather. Its been a little while since I've had a good walk out and i could feel it, legs were burning and lungs were pumping but we managed it. Even managed to get a glimpse of some beasts high up on the hill from the carpark using some random women's binos who just came over to me as i was trying to point them out to my mate and says here get a look at them with these. So cheers for that one ?

  19. I have 2lurchers & a Terrier that were rehomed by me. They didn't suit there previous owners but have done everything I have asked of them. 1 is now 13,1 is 12 in November & the Terrier is 9. They all live in the house & have the run of our smallholding mornings & evenings. I wouldn't change any of them. I retire next year & not into spending hours lamping & getting soaked on winter nights any more. If the dog is good with kids, other dogs & livestock is my main concern. Good luck finding her a home & well done for trying ?

  20. Sometimes its better knowing there in ground then wondering where theyve ended up. Id be very dubious of rehoming anything at the moment especially a bitch even if spade dont mean it doesnt hold abit of value to someone unkowing. I allways think if its not good enough for me its no good to others its not nice but its part of hunting with dogs if youve any sort of mindset youll get failures its what happens to the failures that shows alot about a person

  24. if you`ve got a windowsill that gets some sunlight you can grow herbs, the small supermarket ones in small pots do extremely well if you repot them, I stuck a ALDI basil plant in a 6" pot about 3 months ago, the bloody thing is now about 20" high and 18" across, would try coriander but the windowsill is now full

  25. I think sheepchaser is sort of offering the dog to someone on here and this is hes way of doing it. Not saying he should put it down or dump it or sell it its upto him my posts are aimed at folk that say theres no need for it abit disrespectful to the folk that take responsibility for there animals rather than taking a chance giving them to a stranger

  27. Good mate of mine, not off here, popped in the other day. Asked to see porn. Watched ten minutes of it and shuffled away. He lives a ten minute drive away. I often wonder if he has a photographic memory. Or if he just rips the head off it as he drives away. I've been telling him, for years; 'Get a computer!'

  28. Stick couple pics up mate , a mate mine lost both his runners a while back , I ended up getting him a russ,e pup in couple month back as a gift to keep him going as I could see he wasn’t the same , I’m not sure if he’s ready for another runner yet as his old mans on last legs but I’ll mention it to him he’s an old pest controller who lives his life at 4mph so isn’t after the best thing since sliced bread, and he’s only interested in rabbits and pheasants for the pot and his dogs stay till last days

  31. April Ferreting sounds a bit like a female news-reader on regional TV but l'm actually referring to ferreting in April.....Which l did today. It was a paid job so it had to be done sooner or later and with a bit of breeze to take the heat out of the Sun, now seemed as good a time as any. The bury was a fairly substantial one in sandy soil but in an open field so l didn't feel under-manned . First conundrum involved deciding on a longnet pattern. Across to baulk hole hopping, or a classic surround? I opted for the latter;well a horseshoe - shaped affair . Partly because it might

  37. Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson go on a camping trip. After a good dinner and a bottle of wine, they retire for the night, and go to sleep. Some hours later, Holmes wakes up and nudges his faithful friend. «Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see.» «I see millions and millions of stars, Holmes» replies Watson. «And what does that tell you?» Watson ponders for a minute. «Well, astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets.» «Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo.» «Horologically, I deduce that the

  40. At the end of the day, you never know who is reading and there are often folk on here looking for dogs, some of which may be genuine. I’m fairly confident if a person comes for a walk out with me I will know if he’s an idiot or not. It’s worked so far for the most part with the people I’ve met. I gave the dog a chance and I’m looking to give her another that’s all. I expect given the responses, she will stay here and come out and about with the pack and go out with the Mrs and embarrass her by killing stuff ?

If your at mine any longer than 10 minutes then my missus is making drinks and food ,, to be fair my mum and sisters are the same , if a mate came and I was eating dinner I’d half it with them if they wanted it or not ,lol we have family party’s and friend party’s a lot and to be fair people bring what they have to spare some turn up with beer or food but they don’t have to , there’s no price on hospitality in my house

  42. Sounds like perfect dog for someone who just wants a easy mooching dog like me , most of what I do now is mooching about through woods ferreting and shooting birds and bit catty shooting and bushing and tryin to retrieve the odd Muntjack if im lucky , as I spend more time flying hawks but for someone who isn’t out hunting all day every day after dropping teeth and retrieving shot hare on big land she’d be perfect really ,
