Got to the farm to find most of the burrows were flooded apart from one in the top field which we had two bunnies out of the second bunny was reluctant to bolt hole hopping so I decided to put a purse net on one hole at the back which looked like a good escape route up the hedge which paid of . so it was down to plan B a triangle field across the road that boarders two roads and farm land at the back with a tree and hedge line running in between it there ware burrows the length Of it every so often you could get a 5 yard net in between the hedge row with no snags ended up with another 7 off th6 points

I like to keep the odd game bird around the place, ( no double entendres intended ! ? ! I had a huge shamo cock, ( again, keep the smut to yourselves! ? ! ), that was very tame and friendly, could hand feed him. Now just got this American Game in with the layers; Cheers.6 points

Had a three hour static session this afternoon lads looking for grey squirrels. Full leaf suit on, in amongst the hedgerow, bucket seat and primos sticks, nothing spooked so I,m hidden well. I`m tight in the hedgerows and wood pigeons started to land in the trees and also the rape seed crops, just came from nowhere. Forgive the hasty photo lads, just no time to focus, they were off, very wily and alert as always. Here's the area of the rapeseed crop, clearly gorged on. Taking the photos saw the pigeons off for a good ho3 points

Sad news indeed. A very inspirational man at a time when many are hurting. It would be a shame to derail the thread over what was probably a misunderstanding?3 points

Ya that's the way we hunted as kids a pack of Russell's and terriers be a few whippets whippet/grey and a Beddy/whippet we put a lot of game to bed with them dogs, there was nothing safe in the country,up at first light and back well in to the night probably after covering around 30 miles happy days and as you said trev them dogs would smash cover for there game and work well with the terriers best type of hunting still do it to this day mainly for foxes.3 points

This blade is made from motorbike chain hand forged on to a leaf spring core. I have experimented a few times with chain Damascus but this is the cleanest weld yet, not perfect but it has character. Very hard to eliminate all the voids in the chain beating it by hand...even though i spent probably half a day hammering away on it.... I will make a press one day. I had a smaller knife in mind when i started out but wanted to maximize the lump of rough forged "Damascus" I ended up with so it determined the size & shape of the final blank. The blade is 7.5 inches and handle approx 42 points

Harry Greb, World Middleweight Boxing Champion 1923-1926, was the ever in your face nightmare, the supreme swarming style fighter. His Cyber Boxing Zone bio notes that "Greb was called “The Human Windmill” due to the constant flurries of punches he threw as well as the fast pace he kept throughout his fights." He had unending stamina, and he kept coming and you could not stop him. He had great hand speed and an iron chin. He was a whirlwind in action from the moment the opening bell rang. He could wear down any opponent given enough rounds. He sapped the energy out of his foes and battered the2 points

I,m sadly lacking in a lot of feelings and emotions, but I don’t think it’s sad, he has had a full and exciting life seen things we will all never understand or want to see and done a full term on earth, his life should be celebrated not mourned, I,ve only ever cried at funerals on a few occasions and each one was a young person that never saw his full potential or experienced a full life, think back at how the world has changed in a 100 years and the man saw it all, FairPlay old fella you done it ????2 points

I think the fact that you feel the need to state that your post isn't a cry for sympathy is a shame for society. Talking and sharing is part of healing, I'm glad you are. I think anyone with a shred of heart would understand how big a deal doing what you have just done is and why you might want to share that. It's for the best and will help you move forward. Not move on, just move forward if that makes sense.2 points
