I once had a job on a little private school on the wirral. It was an amazing place. They were knocking it down to make it into apartments and build houses. Think was doing some bird proofing on the frontage. It was an ancient little place. Had a rifle range in an old air raid shelter underneath. Some serious history there. Wish I had taken photos before they flattened 90% of it. Apparently the school had its own pack of beagles at one time that was supposed to hunt a drag but in actual fact hunted anything that moved. Right in the centre of this beautiful spot was a little private14 points

Started when I got my first ferret back in the early 60's and I got the nerve to go and ask a local Farmer that would not let anybody go on his ground, well to my surprise he said yes. I felt 10 foot tall I was so chuffed had my first permission and it was not going to be done by others and I could walk to it. It's got ground burrows on the steep fields that I could do by myself and still do to this day, in fact I was out there solo doing some of the same burrows I did 55 years ago yesterday. The farmer was a hunting man and would tell when they were going to meet on his ground and13 points

My earliest memories from my hunting life are of ferreting. My dad kept racing greyhounds that we raced at Longlevens in Gloucester and Swindon. Some we kept at home and others were kept with a trainer on a farm . We always went to this farm on a Sunday to exercise them or take them to time time trials . I must of been about 7 or eight and one Sunday morning while I was walking a couple of greyhounds with my dad we stopped to talk to a chap in a trench coat and cap by this hedge , he had some rabbit holes netted and a ferret down , at that moment a rabbit bolted and he grabbed it and killed it11 points

With the talk of not much hunting being talked about on here thought I would have a go at talking about my early days and we’re my love of hunting started weather with guns or dogs. my earliest memory of hounds would be of being around 5 years old. My mums grandad used to kennel a pack of beagles. When we used to go visit he would always take us in to see the hounds and feed them biscuits. There was always excitement to visit the noisey dogs as me and my brother would call them. my earliest memory of hunting with hounds would be a few years later around the age of 8 years old s10 points

Many years ago i would go to a place called Gilmerton Edinburgh to spend the New year with my Uncle Pat and his Family and while i was there i would often go shooting or out with the Ferrets once we went on a large estate owed his old Commanding officer to bolt Rabbits for the Gaffer and his two Sons. The day was cold and bright and the Rabbits were flying out from all the smaller Sandy sets which were chosen to ferret and after every time a Rabbit was shot they all seemed to have a swig of Whiskey , there were plenty of digs but they were shallow and easy for the Liner to find ,9 points

My shooting season is over . The new lockdown rules mean that organised game shooting is not going to happen this season. I should have been out this morning for a shoot day today , but instead I’m sat on the settee watching the television. police are issuing fixed penalties for people driving to beauty spots for a walk . And there on the news are rugby players and footballers hugging and kissing each other , dancing around the changing room , and all the staff on the touch line hugging . Surely we are all subject to the same rules ? Is football and rugby that important that they are exempt fr6 points

I took another 15 month old pup out for his first time in the swamp.Watching a young terrier who has seen nothing, enter the earth ,simply because his DNA tells him too, amazes me every time. Just a possum dug shallow but the pup did what he should. Few pics from today I hope y'all enjoy this one.I nearly lost a hand trying to take the picture? Roughly 50 lb beaver .6 points

Very cold this morning, pup was on the lead between woods ( he has a tendency to run a bit of steam off and it was way too hard). Saw quite a few squirrels but the trees are 60ft + so no shots taken. Pup treed this female and she hung about too long ,another for the ferret he resembles a white badger atm with all the food he’s getting ?.4 points

That's my view. I don't have a winner or a loser here. Both sides are rotten. Both sides are bad for liberty. Both sides are spinning a PR campaign. It might have a chocolate coating, depending on your viewpoint, but it's still a shit filling.4 points

Never started with ferrets, at a very young age I started taking my uncles Patterdale out (that was a digging dog) for a mooch and basically was after anything and everything. I can recall getting him stuck in some tar after bolting a rabbit out of some brambles, being a young kid I was flapping cos the dog couldn't move as he had that much stuck to him. A fella saw me struggling and wrapped him in some carpet so I could carry him home. Seeing how keen I was my uncle then started taking me digging on occasions, that excitement stays with you forever. As I got a little older m4 points

My polecat locked hold of my thumb one day out ferreting and for some reason my brother had a screwdriver. He pried the ferret off causing a few lost teeth. Anyway we said sod you left it there. When my father returned home from work at 6 ish came in and said your ferret had got out and was running around the cage but I have put it back in for you. The flipping thing walked 4 fields on its own to get home4 points

What your gone get under the demorats, is people marrying and having sex with animals, trees, fish and any other perverse sick thoughts that evil can think. The mentally unstable and unhinged being the new norm and your not to even think its wrong, mass sensoring of anybody that talks up against them, ban on any self control of your life, over run with 3rd world shithole invaders, your women being raped at will by them and a blind eye turned all in the name of multiculturalism and anti rascism balls4 points

Get this then lads .I was out last night doing essential pest control .Pulled into my regular garage where there was a cop car filling up too .4 coppers in the garage by the coffee machine ,none wearing masks ? I had a mask on and one asked where I was going . Being the cheeky fecker I am I asked where their masks were to which they all scrabbled a mask on .I explained and that was that but looking back as I drove away all their masks were off again . I should of took a pic but the lure of the rat shoot was greater than that .I carry the relevant paperwork but wasn’t asked for it .4 points

Back in March 2020, if he'd addressed the public and said "This is serious. We've got your six though. I'm putting my best people on it and we will win this," he'd have won by a f*ck*ng landslide.4 points

My local had this like new hatistani 900x edger brothers job in going cheap because someone couldn't get on with it. I took the challenge on! Maybe this may help someone I dont know but I learnt a few things. First of all the silencer baffles were damaged near the end of the silencer! Everything lined up so I was confused. To remove the silencer you have to gently prize the plastic end cap from the plastic body. Then you can draw the baffles out. It shot slightly better but still wildly. I soon realized why the baffles were damaged though. The barrel muzzle and crow3 points

Told this part about my first dog in the ferreting section some time ago. I begged and begged my parents for a Jack Russel or a Fox Terrier for years to no avail and then this happened. My old man came home from the pub with a fluffy little poodle thing he had taken off a tramp like bloke that was hitting and kicking it, you would not want to argue with my old man. I was gutted look about as useful as a chocolate tea pot, was a nice little dog but not for me. Father kept saying take it out with the ferret, thought f**k that if I got seen with that I'll be the bloody laughing stock. Well one da3 points

Agreed. His fans are turning on anyone that speaks against him. Even Pence. That's how conspiracies work. They're all in on it now! A pardon would get him off the hook for any potential federal follow ups but they don't apply to the individual states, as is my understanding. The state of New York are getting ready to throw the book at him but if anything sticks it remains to be seen. Now that the puppet shown has drawn the curtain I'm more concerned about what the incoming administration has up it's sleeve. It would be easy to gloat but we're honestly no better off. Not to sure about that if donny gets impeached which could be early as Monday he will never be able to run in the 2024 election. Twitter just banned him for life google apple are now restricting Parler on their platforms . Parler is an alternative to Twitter Twitter and Facefook are carpet bombing accounts of right wing, conservative and anti Covid accounts. this will be my only safe space3 points
