I could of taken a neck shot the other night, but for the few deer I shoot it just didn’t seem the right shot for me, like you say I can wait for another opportunity when the shot is one I’m comfortable with7 points

Finally starting to realise I’m going to have to replace my old bitch soon the longer walks are taking there toll on her and she’s starting to struggle I don’t think she be able to put two good days in on a weekend anymore she’s a had a couple bad injuries , so Iv got two studs in mind but I’m open to look at other dogs if there’s something different the two I know are both real good dogs and do things differently, I’m looking for something that does bit of everything and has a good nose , or if there anyone breeding a decent litter out of two tidy jack of all trades dogs I might be inclined t7 points

The problem with these far left, vegan, green, tofu eating , sandal and sock wearing , tree hugging, pasty faced shithouses is that they aren't happy doing it themselves.....they want to convert normal people, with the messianic fervour of a religious cult member ! There must be something in the veggie/vegan diet that affects their brain, making them come out with such shite about a man who has just died ! I'm angry that such an abysmal creature is sucking at the teat of the public purse, but sadly, there are many , many more of them out there. Cheers.7 points

I was wondering where Dave ( I’ve never had a girlfriend or a proper job ) Taylor found the inspiration for his unusual hairstyle, 1980s new romantic “flock of seagulls “ , what a dick .? Still , he put his anti field sports views to one side when he met HRH princess Anne , fox hunting and Pheasant and Partridge and grouse shooting participant. Maybe the spineless Cnut was waiting till he got behind his keyboard before he bravely launched an attack. I can respect people having different views to me , but I cannot stand hypocrisy !!!6 points

That would be the highlight of any clay shoot for me. Hitting the knob next to me squarely in his lug hole whilst he is stood there in his clay cartridge vest holding his Krieghoff. Oh the sheer joy of it!?6 points

Mate you are gullible as f**k and unfortunately stubborn with it......it makes for a disastrous combination, its a shame you wasnt around the gamedogs when they were big here people would have had a lot of fun with you ?5 points

Getting a few miles in with them doesn't get dogs fit it gets them ready to run tightened up etc helping avoid unnecessary injury's , getting them behind game regular builds fitness.5 points

And there you have it in a nutshell, who is voting for these people ? There are obviously more people who either: A: Think like him B: Don’t think at all We moan about what’s happening in the world but millions and million of voters obviously don’t give a shit......rather knocks the wind out of my sails I don’t mind admitting.5 points

Sad but true. Back in the eighties walking down the main road with a fox slung over your shoulder no one batted an eye. Its the country side its what we do. Now a days you wouldn't make it 50 yards. But the country side is not full of country folks any more. Farms and small holdings bought out by townies. We have a small holding group for our local area on fb and its full of anti's who wouldn't hurt a fly literally. One of them said if you find any fox cubs abandoned can you bring them to me. Bit of too and throwing went on over that one and apparently i am a hare courser with a small penis4 points

You're right, Wilf, but things ARE changing. Just look at my part of the country; people who would vote for a donkey wearing a red rosette finally saw through Corbyn and Labour, and vast parts of the "red wall" turned blue ! Not so long ago the people of Blyth Valley would have rather committed Hari Kari by rushing en masse into the north sea, than vote Conservative, but now they've got a Tory MP ! Social media, 24 hour rolling news, etc isn't just for the young, even oldies like me are becoming more politically savvy ! Theres a long way to go before people move away from4 points

They didn't want to promote masks at the beginning because there was already a shortage. Now people are mixing more and there is a good supply. Stop fcking moaning and let's get through this shit. Nobody really knows, just use common sense3 points

If your talking about .say 20 yrs Rich ,that's not even a generation in human terms ,maybe 8,9 or 10 generations of dogs , If a human was bred fastest to fastest for 300 hundred years then Usain might get a bit of competition ,it's as the man says ,nutrition and sports science ,equipment ,more of the globe taking part and an acknowledgment that different body types suit different sports ,I am the perfect build for darts for example .3 points

Dog gets fitter as the season goes on, at some point they’ll reach their ‘peak fitness’ in other words as fit as that dog can be, but they can’t hold that level of fitness forever, after a certain amount of hard work they start to get tired/sore and they go back the way a bit, in an ideal world you’d build up slow Sep/Oct, up a gear November time when the grounds bang on & the dog will be at its fittest for Dec/Jan/Feb when the quarry’s at its strongest. Thats my understanding of it, all dogs will get fit at different rates and hold good levels for different times but what he means is3 points

Im in slight disagreement with you there i dont think you have to play for big money to be a genuine participant in the game....dont get me wrong i love a pound note but knew a number of absolutely dedicated lads who lived and breathed the dogs that were literally matching for the price of a keep......as was once said to me by a big name over your side of the pond " if you wake up thinking of gamedogs and you go to bed thinking of gamedogs then you're a dogman " ?3 points

What are you on about seriously.. Man on the moon.. We are talking about have athletes got faster the last 100yrs. Not nasa or the space shuttle. In 1936 Jesse Owens was running on cynders made from burnt wood. He dug his foot holes with a little trowel. Bolt is using a proper step to launch off and running on a modern surface. Jesse Owens would be 1 stride behind bolt.at the finish line. Technology has moved on.man hasn't. Watch the video.and listen to the facts.3 points

Just shows what incredible creatures hares are.....I mean look at that place...I bet it's 40 degrees. .f**k all to eat but them spiky bushes it's hiding in.... As much as I like catching various bits of game...I was real glad that got away...I just hope the chaps left that one where he was and found another to run later...3 points

I have spoke of Alan Scott before on a topic on lurcher forum.99% of what John r Colby of Texas has bred in the last 25 years has Sam in there. When you only get a winner every 40 years you better key on him. You have tried to tell me how to hog hunt in Dixie ? Out of respect to dogs I seen die I argued with you. Let me make some more lightning about some of Gnasher post. The Spiderman dog that went to oz had a few sons here and there was a family of dogs built around them still going strong but wasn't my cup of tea.I had one of Katie's last stud dogs he was a plug on his best day.Had3 points
-
I think your wrong about the last part. The top breeders bred what they were using. Perhaps you meant top peddlers. I had sons of Colby's Sam and grandsons.Good hogdogs nothing more.My buddy (atthetime)used them in hogdog catch competition when legal.I never spent a dime with Colby.I had a local friend .He bought them up and later gifted me most of them.Good hogdogs nothing else. You can find adult cold colby dogs for hog hunting usually for free from a greenhorn.I always considered it foolish to purchase a pup on bulldogs..The answers to the good ones are in the reports Mr Gnas3 points

After the squirrels this morning for a change, not been their for a while not even been to fill the feeder (tut tut tut), anyways filled feeder up, waited 15mins first one came along 22yds to feeder side on shot snatched the shot and a little bit low but it went down with the .22 hades and stayed where it landed, 2nd one was like an age away, this time it went to the floor for the dropped peanuts, sent it a hades and down it went but for the life of me i couldnt find where I,d hit it even though it was meant for a head shot..strange one. Then it went quiet so I went for a mooch and seen this r2 points

I was advised that the Hornady 20g was by far the best ammo in that weight and to be very honest, I would sell my guns if I had to use bloody Winchester as I find them to be very inconsistant in both wmr and lr versions. I will be very interested to hear how you go on with the Hornady SD..................................................I am also having a bit of an itch regarding hmr which may need to be scratched if the itch doesn't go away ?
