Took my GSP and 12`s for a long walk across the fields of my 2nd permission today. Kaiser, my GSP worked hard and long, finding a covey of Grey Partridge ( 14) and lifted a very large Hare. I`m not shooting any game whatsoever on my permissions. Game numbers are increasing slowly as i take every opportunity to shoot any corvids or grey squirrels. The hunting life was a great site until a few years back now it seems to have changed course , there is more interest in the General Talk section than the actual Hunting Forums , once the ferreting section was full of trips out and were refreshed daily , the Dog section was good also with lots of lampers showing there Dogs and bags of Rabbits that I could only dream of, all of the forums held some interest for me and even the daily reports of the Nights Battles on General Talk were good in those days , [for those that don't know it was a very fierce place where you snowflakes would melte

I saw a few Rabbits crossing a lane a couple off weeks ago they were going straight into a stone wall so I went to the nearest farmhouse and ask if I could tap them , he said ok but stay in the lane ,no digging ,and do not touch the walls ,it was hard going as I could not widen the holes or dig a bed out because every thing was Stone , I decided to build them a box where I could place a trap , I have done 14 so far and there is around 20 to do , in the Nw year when they are all being used and visitor numbers have dropped I will take a chance and stick an Imbra in the lot of them .
