  3. Paddy was on his deathbed and knew the end was near. His nurse, his wife, his daughter and 2 sons are with him at his home in Belfast. He asks for 2 independent witnesses to be present and a camcorder be in place to record his last wishes. When all is ready he begins to speak: "My son Seamus, I want you to take the houses in Cultra." "My daughter Geraldine, you take the apartments over in Malone Road." "My son Patrick Junior, I want you to take the offices in the City centre." "Bridget, my dear wife, please take all the residential properties on the Upper Lisburn Road ." T

  9. Has anyone stopped to consider, maybe we view the big 5 (or 8 ?) differently as we don't have them in our country. I was once told I was wrong for shooting rabbits in the numbers I did, by a shooting man, because they had no rabbits and he couldn't grasp we could shoot 100 in an evening without batting an eyelid. Do we look at elephant, rhino, lion etc, differently to the guys out there, would we look at them the same if they were native in our own lands ? I have never been big game hunting, I have done safari circuit, I know the local ways out there, I also know how valuable th

  12. Rabbits are making their way out of the fence line and into the field so their numbers need reducing before any damage is caused to any horses at this livery yard. I did one bury with two hobs and the older bitch but left the pup in the truck just watching as it was beside a road and I’m not confident I could stop her if she was chasing a rabbit in that direction. Ended up taking twelve from there then had a look at a few other holes away from the road but they were empty it was good to get the pup out with the ferrets and it was a first outing for one of the hobs too, onwards and upwards

  16. Liked to say a big thank you to Timmytree for taking the time out and meeting up to compare Pro-sports. Thanks for giving it the once over ,the strip-down tuition and the safe gun control demonstration (holding the under leaver when loading a pellet) actually helps loading easier. Oh, and letting me put some lead down range using your PS , many thanks. As it turns out, there's not anything wrong with my PS but something that would make a difference is getting a TB kit fitted as Timmy's PS is very smooth when cocking. Planning on ordering a kit this week ? Had a good c

  18. To keep the thread going, (don't know what happened?) 30+ years ago I used to go out with one of Ziggy's "mentors" (I hope he won't mind me saying that) and this fella had piles almost on his doorstep so he worked them and some of the bigger piles in the area. We all did! Young(ish) keen and fit, foxes were hard to come by, everyone in the area was at it ffs. This lad preferred a leggy, light coloured rough coated, B/L type dog and he generally bolted them to the gun with very good numbers over the years he did lose one or two mind but we're talking over several years. Cheers, D.

Yeah i was watching this last night but do go onto the 15min, 30 seconds mark and the tossers speak some true words here about peoples thoughts on plastic and monkey metal It`s your money and your choice but for me, the HW 100 KT in a traditional wooden stock, takes some bettering, as much as they try.

  29. The hardest thing to get right in hft is the range estimation. If you've had plenty of practice with the hw80 then you should get a good score. Likes already been said, scores will be subject to the class you are in namely recoiling. Just go along and enjoy the day and just compete against yourself, that way there's no pressure where as if you just try and beat the person that you are put with, you will more than likely end up beating yourself up about missed or plated shots and end up frustrated and dissapointed. Get yourself along and let us know how you fared ?

HW tuned to whatever power your allowed, is way more satisfying to 1,tune yourself 2,fire, as opposed to the dead click and hiss 3,way more challenging to shoot accurately, 4,way more rewarding. 5,Totally self contained! I only strip mine occasionally to make tuninig tweaks, no other reason to, as it never goes wrong, look on chambers website, you can buy any part for th

  35. Doesn't look like it was much of a fish if being honest mate. Sorry like but I tells it like I sees it. I remember a goldfish I had, Flipper, now that was some fish. Put away more than his fair share of bloodworms I'll tell ya, pre-ban of course. Would of knocked spots off Jerry. Did you manage to get any fry by him before he popped his clogs? I might be interested, wont be paying silly money though. PM me if you prefer. You'd best be quick though as I'm off up the country mid week to visit a fun fair. I know some lads up there that always have decent goldfish about them. Cheers.

  36. Not the hardest thing to do, no definitely not, but take that little dog out on a Friday night maybe kill one or two in the lamp then get up Saturday morning and take him doing covers with the hounds where he’ll get a chance at another couple some from pretty long slips on bad ground and repeat on the Sunday do that every weekend for four or five months and if he’s still at it come February and not pulling them about by the arse then he’s half decent.???. The one that I owned was a Friday night dog but if he took a bit of stick and had a bit of time to think about it he wasn’t the same dog on

  39. That wasn't smartness, it were the truth. If your lucky enough to get that amount of game and your dogs not catching them as you want at the age of three, then you have the wrong dog mate. Anyway 300 rabbits is good haul, well done for that. And if my dog took 1-2 minutes to catch a rabbit, my tally would be about 0.
