12 years old, with her last pup ! He saw his first fox last week, killed it and drew it from a decent earth. Time will tell if he's got what it takes but it's a good start for now.13 points

I personally prefer bitchs to dogs and always have. I have at present 4 reliable bitchs and 1 old fell type dog.I think and its only my opinion that good digging bitchs are way harder come by than dogs. I've often hear lads chatting about this dog and that dog but very rarely do you hear about good bitchs and I also believe that their should be no difference work wise between both dogs maybe a bit stronger but one should be as eager as the other to get a job done some will disagree but that's my take on it.12 points

Well the wee one was Boxing so loaded the wee dogs for an hour bushing whilst I waited. I never even made a 100 yards An they where of . An that’s where I spent my hour waiting. They normally have a hunt on wotever they can find An today it was the deer who where on the menu. They took off from the banks to the woods. I could hear the busher in full scream from deep in the wood to the far side An back close. I spent the whole hour there watching and listening. They flushed 10 that I seen before calling it a day. Managed a couple off pics off the old dog waiting on the busher coming back8 points

A mate of mine had as good a bitch any man could want. He worked her until she had proven herself with a few season under her belt. Bred her twice to two good dogs and both litters wasn’t worth a Light ! They just didn’t click there’s no rhyme or reason no garrantees . We was discussing breeding her one last time when my mate past away ( digging to he’s bitch ) now what I’ve learnt from this tale is once a bitch or dog has proven itself with a few season work . get it bred lol as Dd said we’ve only one lifetime ! It could be the dogs or your number that’s time is up have no regrets lads8 points

I haven't got anything more recent, he's just starting to shape up and loose the puppy fat. He was born on the 21st of March last year and he saw his first fox a few days ago.7 points

A couple of other things to consider........ Putin is making a success of Russia.......and he is doing it without having to import 85 million Muslims to tear the fabric of the place to ruins. A bloke on YouTube has just been found guilty of telling a joke!!!.......forget nuclear war.......THAT is what you should be really frightened of and if you can’t see that then you need your bumps felt !7 points

There's a couple there. My sd card corrupted and I lost a lot of photos. But there's a few of him. Bullet proof temperament couldn't get better. And whilst all the other pups was on my feet and chewing me he sat there and just looked at me.. I was reserved of going through with it... She said if that puts you off don't think you have to have him.. I said no it's fine. Best decision iv ever made and every other pup I pick will be based on being chilled lol. Like I say, could of done abit more with him I'm not saying other wise, but circumstances weren't ideal for me, and to be6 points

go with your old bitch don't get tied up with what ifs , breeding anything has a risk involved get her back to the best working related dog and take the chance , as all ready said a lot of luck or chance involved , i once bred a dog and bitch and got 5 pups , good enough to grace any kennel anywhere , i've got this game cracked i think to myself , next litter brought me back to ground all but one where rubbish, 3rd litter thank god i was back on track , but i had to take a chance5 points

To be able to say you have got a good working line, the bitches need to be able to work to the same high standard as the dog's,, if they don't then there's something wrong,,, Not every one is going to turn out to be a star, but the bitches must be bloody good worker's or if they aren't , don't breed from them!!!5 points

Where does it say he hasn't had a second one? Or do you know the guy he's on about in person? All he's said is that the best dog he's seen in forty years just happened to be Hancock. I know a good few Hancock bred dogs past n present that catching all sorts of species. Ye maybe they not ultimate killing machines on heavier quarry, but they don't do half bad at what they are bred for.4 points

years ago i paid 1200 for my first harris hawk how times have changed, they loss them now they go out and buy another one,i breed most birds of prey and my birds just dont go to any one4 points

Caught a female Harris few yrs back, she was attacking chickens in an allotment, no one came to claim her so my uncle started to man her, she became a good bird but a little funny with strangers dogs. I believe he still has her as we not spoke for a few yrs. Few yrs ago there were lots of lads around here with em..... A new fad didn't last long.... Passed plenty sitting in a tree refusing to go to the glove?shame because anyone can just go and source one for £100. Had some good days out over the yrs with em.4 points

Here`s the results lads of "just my humble shooting" with these two top springers. Exactly as it happened, TX tuned, V`s -the Pro Sport - untouched and barely bedded in. Both rifles shot off Primos shooting sticks, range 38 yds, both fed on JSB Exact Express, 7.87g, 4.52. - 5p targets. The Pro Sport below. Absolutely nothing between them for me, up to now So I thought I would try 4 shots per 5p target but now with a " warm " just fired, Pro Sport, - here`s the results.3 points

Had a day owed to me and fancied getting up on the moor whilst we had the weather. Had an area in mind where we have had a couple of decent runs in the past. Unfortunately the military ranges were open when I got there so I moved to a new area. Mid week is really quiet up there and I only bumped into 2 other people all day. Cold wind but the sun was up and visibility was good. Been up there in all types of weather but cold with the sun up is unbeatable. Seen a couple of rabbits in the lower cover and the lurcher followed a couple of lines higher up which just ended at great piles of rocks. Alt3 points

Not on the 100 Matt. Pcp is for half-men. That scope deserves to be used on a mans-rifle.3 points

Didn't cut the bottom out of our plastic pipe due to not wanting anything extending it, our brick ones are solid floor also just quarter fill with muck to give the natural feel, also cut your plastic pipe in 2ft lengths as a dig is not always in the chamber and you need some sharp bends , something to slow the terrier down for a clear shot.3 points

If the numbers stack up they will go, if there is more profit in you dead than alive then we will all be dead. However, a load of camel jockies with a penchant for f***ing their 10 year old cousins and about 1 & 6 in their pocket won’t quiet cut it yet so for the minute we are all safe !3 points

I keep and work bitches as a rule.... Just retired one end of this season getting on for double figures... Took a litter from her at 6 yr old and she was lined with a dog last summer but unfortunately had 1 pup that she killed.... I had a bitch here from the first litter that worked, but not to a standard where I was happy to take a litter from her,no other bitches in the litter. she went to some lads with a gun pack, suit their needs more than mine. I threw everything at the old bitch, she got me results where other dogs had failed miserabley up and down the country. I'm sat here thinking wh3 points

Will there f**k be a war, can’t be wiping out all those consumers now can we......corpses don’t buy new phone contracts or an Audi on the book ! However, with local elections coming up and all of Europe’s politicos trying to work out how to f**k 17 million people out of a demorcratic vote it makes great sense to promote the bogeyman of Russia.........run to what you know people, run to what you know !3 points

I am sure you right about the farming thing, I don't like that, dogs aren't like sheep or chickens, they crave human contact and thrive better when they get it, some moan about breading from non working stock, but f1 colly crosses or any cross bred from a greyhound bitch likely only has one working parent at best who ever breads it, how many litters do they breed? what happens to the bitches when there done? and who buys em all? as has been said before you get what it says on the tin, and the pup in the thread im'e sure will be spot on, intensive farming gets loads of stick and rightly so, it3 points

Been mad busy this last couple of weeks but I managed to secure a new bit of woodland only 10 minutes from home that will provide some brilliant roost shooting on the crows when I've got used to their behaviour on there so I had a little walk round last night and sure enough, it's teeming with them and as a bonus there are a few woodies about there too. I was hoping to get under the crows but I was a wee bit late and they were already makung off from the daytime trees so i just sat tight and waited for any stragglers to pop in. Sure enough one did pop in and it was a woody at 45 yards and3 points
