Cheers Fatman, wish yous all the best with him hopefully he turns into a good worker for yous, he's forward enough and built for the job. We had his full brother out with us today. He hasn't seen as much as the other dog but he showed a lot of interest and he got to run a few handy places though there was nothing home. Ended up at a place into dark, runaround for a brave while and when we ran out of light a while later it bolted, its there for another day. Took this pic just so you can see how he's shaping up. Thanks again. Atb4 points

My mate was gifted a young dog a few weeks back by a friend of mine,14months old, nice strong dog,i know the breeding of it so it had the right stuff in it but wont mention that on here.We were out on sunday morn and the lurcher Snowy marked an easy place so i told Paddy to collar up the young dog.We entered him and he travelled on a few metres and then found and we dug him with a small vixon, ideal start for this youngster. We also had a dog returned to us by the General that i had gave him as a pup but through circumstances at the moment he had to rehome the dog and to his word the dog ame back4 points

Ha ha. It's the same anywhere in the food industry. I was once working in a restaurant kitchen and the chef was a fookin nut job. Somebody complained their side of salmon was underdone so the chef picked it up, threw it onto the floor, spat on it and then put it back on the plate. The waiter took it back and the diner declared his salmon was just to his liking. Motto? Never complain unless you are prepared to risk gob, bogies etc being placed on your plate. I had a row with that chef and he said he would 'f****n kill me' after work, So I waited for him in the car park as we'd agreed. Eve3 points

I decided to give the Mk3 it's first proper trip out last week, on the rats at the manor house permission - there's usually a good few around the grain silo and the chicken sheds. First things first, I tried a couple of different pellets to see if I could use something with a bit more clout and less penetration. ....... I ended up opting for Baracuda Hunter Extremes In total we got about 20 rats - mostly off of the frame work on the silo. The Baracudas were cracking them hard with a lot of noise and, barely any movement after they'd been hit. ....... Mos2 points

I live on a very main road with traffic lights outside so every day I spend in the countryside is an absolute pleasure even the smell of cow shit, funny enough I have just been over to my local pheasant shoot to see a mate of mine and even the sound of people saying what's he doing here or sorry mate but I can't be seen talking to you here is better than the sounds at home2 points

I lost one of my lurchers march 2016 as you rightly say heartbreaking! there is not a day that goes by I don't think of him but now it's with the appreciation of having spent great time with him ! And in time you will too .2 points

Coppola allowed Brando to ad-lib most of his dialogue during the movie,I think that speech included.2 points

I get through shed loads of bacon - barely a day goes by that I don't eat it - so I tend to buy cheaper stuff. Can't be doing with smoked bacon though........... The other day there was one of those yellow label "Oops" things in the supermarket - Wiltshire dry cured back bacon - 6 rashers (hardly 2 days worth !) for just over a quid. Gotta say that the difference was remarkable. A much better, deeper flavour and no white snot all over the pan ! Wish I could afford it all the time ! I am of the earnest belief that whatever type you prefer, there is nothing.......nothing.......that can2 points

I,d rather give five years of my life at the 70 end than in my 20,s infact if I live into my 80,s I,m giving crack a go, the biggest growth in the prison population is oap,s because your looked after better than an old peoples home and the government don't make you sell your house to pay for it, I'm all in favour of oap crime though this old fella was,nt really making anything from it, at least he won't be lonely at Christmas2 points

Some stories translate better to audio or film........and some never translate well to other media. All quiet on the western front is a classic case.......the book pisses all over the cinematic version. Lord Of the rings is another, you could not possibly hope to do a literary work so vast and complicated justice on film......they just wouldn’t have the budget for it. The film was shite compared to the book2 points

I wasn't after any particular work. He had just started to mark earths, go in bushes and i planned to try on the odd fox if i ever had the chance. He was my first ever dog so was happy just being out with him walking the hills and learning from him. He was a Lakeland cross patterdale. I have found a pup i am looking at tonight as i cant stick going home to an empty house and i need a positive focus. Arry off here is a top bloke, called me thismorning and had a chat with me which was lifting. If he ever invites you down take him uo he's a proper gentleman with a wealth of experience.2 points
