My little brother just had his first powerlifting competition the other day and got 3rd place with a medal ! 18yr and topped out with 185lb bench 335 dead lift and a 365 squat ?? Damn proud of him ! Said he's wanting to be topping out at 600lbs in a few months. How hes gonna have time to train with all the other stuff he does is beyond me but hay I'm 100% behind him ? btw don't mind the picture the boy can't take a good one to save his life and he just took his braids out he's why he looked like he stuck a fork in a electrical socket ??16 points

First day with this club and they said I'm definitely an English flanker, so I'm lined out in a misty field on my own, not a clue which way the hares are coming or the direction the dogs are going.11 points

Cheers @Greyman, fuxking thing won't let me quote anyone for some reason now. May is a year, the only low is sometimes the weather is shit. I only work weekdays, earn the same money (more on some weeks) i did in the call centre for half the hours, getting to either drop or collect the girls from school daily, Obviously my surroundings and I've managed to now start a local service aswell as supplying 4 shops weekly.6 points

The Sun that's appeared for the last couple of days seems to have brought the foxes out during the day in my area . No doubt the the thawing fields have made grubbing about a bit easier for them than it's been for a couple of weeks . Though some seem simply content to bask in the warmth . I shouldn't have been surprised when just as l thought l might have an early finish this afternoon l had a call from a customer. She's a lady in her nineties who despite using a walking- aid still maintains a bit of a smallholding. It wasn't that long ago that she shot her own foxes -usual5 points

I have posted pictures before of my first proper lurcher a great dog who never suffered injuries despite my silliness of running him on hard ground and daunting places I lost him at nearly 7 years old after he disappeared on the Wentworth Estate running an hare into woodland never to be seen again.5 points

On a side note, when you say you've taken over from the old lady shooting from her bedroom window, you don't mean you are now in her bedroom do you? That just wouldn't be right now would it ?4 points

Dropped a nice looking vixen last night with the 22.250, 182 yards out on the edge of a reed bed. Earlier, I’m sure we dropped the first Charlie of the night but with it being a good distance and access to it through several frozen up locked gates, I’m out today looking for it. Too cold for brass monkeys on the moor last night ??3 points

One was a sport with respect and preservation in mind over many yrs “the truest of sportsmen dosnt set out to kill the hare “ quote from Arrian who set the guidelines of coursing as we knew it , the other is no sport as killing is what’s required has been around for a few yrs over here the dogs coming from the Middle East where war and killing is all they have done for many yrs3 points

I agree, this one I owned had straight back legs and no "spring" in the hocks. This little Beddy type of mine had a nice stance, plenty of "spring" in the back end, Cheers.3 points

I love all these old photos. They take me back to another time.It all seemed a lot easier then. Buy your lurcher pups from ads in exchange and mart. Plenty of rabbits and hares and mostly not as much bother as these days. Sorry about the whippet being shot though Charts. Must've been gutted.2 points
