you must be reading my mind matey, one day last week, my doctor came out to see me, asked how I felt and my thoughts, she asked so I told, suicidal were my thoughts, until a certain person from duggie mac came into my life, people dunna just pass, and that's it, within days of her passing, the paperwork that came through my door demanding me repay overpaid benefits, and because of my illness my lady was still at the morgue waiting for me to get better, is was overwhelming. I couldn't handle it, then a lady from duggie mac, stepped in, In such a short time , has done everything for me, things10 points

For the 1st time in a long time I have seen a wildlife programme on the tele, BBC believe it or not, that I enjoyed watching. As the topic title. Probably due to the subject matter, it would be hard to make weasels boring no matter how hard they may try. One thing they missed though , several actually but one glaring error unique to these beautiful little predators, the death dance. Stoats more than weasels do it. Anyone else seen it?7 points

Blimey Just seen this thread and what memories it brought back . I was digging with Bruce way back in the eighties along with Tommy Meaney and one or two who are still living so I wont name . I'm sure somebody mentioned at one point that Nancy was stolen in 1982 but that wasnt the case Bruce was still working both nancy and toddy later than that . We were out most weekends although those dogs werent always with us both being hard types and sometimes not fit for work for a while after hard encounters . Bruce ( Brian) was a quiet mild mannered man who knew his game inside out .... never7 points

Went out first light today to see bout bagging a bunny for mondays dinner... saw one rabbits that went through to the neighbouring farm (no permission over there) and down a warren in the hedge. My perm is a 'i want rabbits gone' perm. Ive had my fair few off there with guns and ferrets, so not suprised there aint much about... Its just the lack of signs around holes, no scraps, droppings, fur or foot prints. Need some frosts down here to clear the hedgelines so i can get in there next. Took me young lad for his 2nd trip out... he had fun but would have been better to show6 points

I've met some tidy lads off here over the yrs... Who have scratched my back so I scratch theirs?I don't know about you but I'm on a 2 hr drive to Pembroke Dock to collect a terrier for a cockney lad who sorts me my digging.... Will kennel it tonight and then drive 3 hrs after work tomorrow to drop it off to him..... If he or anyone else I know from on here needed my help, I would do what I can to help them out..... I'm only a phone call, message away... Years ago I never gave a f**k for no cnut.... Growing up, stepping up to being a father and main provider changed all that for me..... I final6 points

Good programme, i have been lucky enough to have seen the death dance, not so much of a dance, more like manic behaviour, rolling jumping and charging around but the end result is what counts. When you look at the size of them they must rate as one of the worlds fiercest predators, fascinating creatures. Years ago i was in a disused quarry , when i heard this scream from a rabbit and saw it sat in front of me about ten feet away, a weasel shot out of some grass and jumped on the back of its neck, i ran forward and grabbed the rabbit, the weasel ran about 8 feet away and stood looking at me. It's all kept quiet till these boys them selves fall out and start telling tales on each other. I really hope they turn up4 points

id like to think that's untrue mate, I poured my heart out to complete strangers on this site, half expecting most of em to tell me man the f**k up or summat. how wrong I was, people inviting me down theres, people willing to drive up mine just to hold my hand. im awfully depressed and lonely at the moment, but I wouldn't be a decent human being if I wasn't , at the moment, I would pay the devil to come share a cup of tea with me, no one comes here except the stroke team4 points

depression is a horrible illness....I wouldn't personally wish upon any person.....some really selfish replies imo....just hope if any of you suffer from it that you get the support,to over come it, as it really does f**k up folks lives?4 points

Patience is the best quality anyone could have with lurchers/sighthounds. Can practically guarantee that your youngest greyhound bitch would be LETHAL with foxes, if you gave her another year before you tried her. Not telling you or anyone else how to do things, it's your dog/dogs, but wait til they're about 2 1/2 years old before you start them, you'd be surprised, and very happy ?4 points

Stoney I don’t know you or whats gone on in your life. But you seem typical of most drug addicts/ alcoholics in that you seem very much self obsessed, talking about yourself all the time? You say you got yourself out of the hole you were in, but what about all the professionals in prison, doctors, shrinks whatever that helped you along the way? Also what about family? If you were such a bad alcoholic maybe they got sick of giving you chance after chance and decided to just give up on you? No axe to grind here but the way you’re coming across is very selfish, you’re entitled to your own o3 points

I don't believe that mate.... I know quite a few who have offered time and support for complete strangers, well internet "mates" lol.... Infact there are blokes on here who have done me some very good turns, and I believe I have returned that on a number of occasions... I know your pissed off with the shit going on now, but not everyone is out for themselves only...in fact I think many are quite the opposite..3 points

i grew up in my grans house in a welsh valley from 4/18 mate.no central heating.couldn't see through the thin single pain of the bedroom window in winter it was full of that frost pattern.,and breathing steam from your breath while in bed.proper cold. but think back in the day they had wells to draw water.the water course didn't have any chemicals running into it. the water was pure. in the country side sanitation wouldn't be a problem really. i allways remember my mate telling me.that when he was a kid he would walk into his grans street and he could smell the beef she was cook2 points

Sometimes you can rattle away with no response at all , other times they literally run at you and you have to shout to get them to stop to get a shot ...well worth a try if the rut is on ...2 points

Never heard of them mate , however looking at them they are primarily show bred , in my opinion that's not a bad thing in fact it's a good thing but that's just my opinion mate others opinions may differ, if your after a whippet mate don't be sucked up into the full 'working whippet' sales pitch they will all work mate ...2 points
