I never quite get why people think it’s ok or no big deal to kill somebody’s cat ... it could be some small child’s pet or an oap’s only form of company ... if it was a dog people on here would have a shit fit ......12 points

My bitch Heidi is approx 5 weeks in pup confirmed by a scan last week. She is out of a tall racey collie grey, whippet grey bitch with a touch of deerhound owned by D. Poxon and her sire was a serious bedlington greyhound "Gyp". She had a decent season but called it short early due to an injury so made the decision to breed her now whilst she has the summer off. Sire is a serious dog himself out of a primarily deerhound greyhound bitch with a touch of collie and whippet, and his sire was a huntsmans bedlington x greyhound. This dog does the business daytime and on the lamp, s6 points

Theres a million pics, corpses etc of otters in the UK in the wild and dead on roads,no doubting their existance, they are indigenous british wildlife and classified as such, bad analogy to a fictional creature, these were taken in sunderland, broad daylight, are there any similar of big cats?4 points

Still good time for a knife of that quality finish. I get mine roughed out and think wow 4 hrs and i have made a knife!...........then comes all the heat treating, refining, polishing etc etc and yes 20 + hrs later you have a superior hand crafted knife....not everyone will pay £200+ for such a blade ( personally my goal is not to drop below £10 hr charge out) Yes there are tricks & shortcuts to take the time factor down but there is no substitute for time when it comes to a top hand crafted package like yours! I have yet to see a whippet work nettles and brambles and general cover as good as a beddy whippet. not all beddywhippet are bred out of show stuff. I used to think anyone with anything about them was on sites like this. truth is lots of people doing stuff aren't on the Internet at all. a lot of old boys with good stuff don't come on here.3 points

Bedlington whippets are not quick any way Unless bred back to a decent size whippet or grew that can cover ground there one speed dogs with no gears. There just a peddlers pocket money dog most are bred out of show type pet bedlingtons to pet whippet an changed the earth for these days with a story of parents being good working dogs I can’t really see what the hype over the cross is all about to be honest it offers little to nothing in modern day hunting that a decent work bred whippet can’t do the only difference being there more pleasing to the eye to look at as a traditional looking scru3 points

why's that mate, I used to mooch, ferret, course, mine for years never a problem, then I had a few years lamping a couple of nights a week and coursing Saturdays with do dramas even did that with a pure, but to be honest d.l you need one from a faster line, some of the lines can throw plodders, and they wont be sharp enough, for a bit of allsorts imho good luck.3 points

READ MY POSTS I'm not the one going round insulting people. I have made it very clear that I accept there may be something to this, but NO EVIDENCE has been shown, and I have asked questions and been greeted with a foul mouth tirade. A certain person here is very happy to call people a prick and tell them to f**k off when he can't comprehend posts or answer questions.3 points

your certainly right about them being one paced. I think a lot are disappointed with them because they buy them as running dog and are no such thing. I use mine generally for cover work, marking and ferreting. just about all her daytime rabbits are caught in 25 to 30 yards max. but that is all I ask of her.2 points

Ah yes the materials.....another reason i make most of mine out of re-cycled materials.....keeps the end cost down...meaning more sales......and a better hrly rate for me!? But in seriousness it is a whole another ball game if you are using expensive materials and yes you need to charge for them!!! Here is a 100% recycled material knife of mine....OK so i bought the Kydex for the sheath but the rivets are old gas pipe, the lanyard an old boot lase etc. P1060496_zps1zelylq7 by Terry Griffiths, on Flickr P1060501_zps6vqkwqii by Terry Griffiths, on Flickr P1060518_zps8azz2 points

I've often thought of puting a standard poodle over one of my whippets, they are not the poofy dogs people think. My solicitor has 2 and she was threatened by a violent client, the dogs had to be dragged off him.The coats not great for here but they are athletic, smart and people orientated.Crossed with a working line whippet or grey would be an interesting dog.2 points

Not seen no mixy round here last year was seeing pretty decent numbers of rabbits were I’d recently moved thought I was in for a really good season with the young un but about a month before the crops come down it was like they up sticks an left i was finding just random dead rabbits while out wi the dog they looked in perfect condition not shot or carrying mixy just random dead rabbits dotted about on the spots I visited definitely vhd virus. All winter it’s been the odd couple dotted about on the lamp in each field then on to the next field ferreting the best I got off a sheep field hedge ro2 points

That’s the best digging type Lakeland I’ve ever seen, thick set and strong with it. None of this narrow chest and and pointy muzzle crap you see in the shows. I hope he carries on for you.2 points

I If you don't like the thread why not just leave it to people that do. Instead of insulting a guy that has a hobby trying to prove something and actually getting out there and doing it. Cheers Arry1 point
