I lived and grew up in a tiny rural town as I child I regularly walked the solway firth when the tide was out . I’ve stepped off a large road bridge over 100ft into a river that’s claimed many lives over the last ten years . My cousin received an award for his attempts to pull a lad out of the water when he over reached himself and tragically passed in the same stretch. I regularly biked with my friends 9 miles each way to a bridge of 150ft to do the same . Often at night . I was about 10. We also had an open air pool , at the school where jumping off the gym roof into the17 points

My first proper lurcher bought out of the exchange and mart as a seven week old pup in the 70s from a place called Castle Bytham in Lincolnshire. He was a mix of collie/greyhound/Bedlington/Greyhound some of the older lad's I knocked about with said the cross would never catch hares he proved a few wrong.8 points

Small island hunting for an extinct cat that was presumed gone for 20+ years, cats are seen here on a weekly basis. Small production crew it's the basic trail cams that did the work, not cash, the cams aren't top spec. It's impossible to call him a liar, the crystal clear footage is a leopard, no ifs, no buts, no maybes, its a zanzibar leopard.5 points

This dog was bred by ginger French.. he’s was a brilliant dog.. there’s not much I didn’t do with him. He excelled on hares, obviously being a saluki cross, but he took fox, deer, lamped the beam perfectly, ferreted etc.4 points

My first saluki greyhound out of Ginger French's Luke bought as a pup early 90s from a couple in Bacup nr Rochdale no world beater but he made me happy on more than one occasion this day especially as a ten month old sapling nailed the first muntjac he ever set eyes on and coursed.4 points

It was our fourth shoot last Saturday and it was a cracking day. The total bag was 50 head. I managed to shoot four ducks, four pheasants and a nice woodcock. Two roe ran out of the stream wood followed by a fox. So that is another job i will have to sort out.4 points

Mackenzie Thorpe was born in Sutton Bridge in 1908 died 1976. His father, Mackenzey Thorpe, was a Romany and his mother was from Sutton Bridge. He was one of eight children. He left school at twelve and worked on farms. He began poaching at a young age and collected a string of minor convictions. At seventeen, he joined the crew of The Alert, an inshore cargo boat and spent nearly a year at sea. Back in Sutton Bridge, he took up boxing and became heavyweight champion of Lincolnshire. He married his wife, Cicely, by court license and they had six children. He met Peter Scott in 1928, whilst4 points

My old man has a barge , not a wide beam tho. He has a mooring about an hour's drive from him. It's a small patch of land at the end of a farmers field with parking and a bit of land to put a few sheds up a bit of garden and all decking. He loves it , it's his escape. There is only 2 other boats there who permanently live there, so it's a nice little private bit and he only pays £25 A week for it. He was saying the other day he might get rid of his log burner and have a diesel heater plumbed inn. It's a lovely little spot and community he's got.4 points

Two weeks, found an extinct leopard,he could hardly speak with excitement, I thought he was going to cry, lots of emotion in his voice, very good program, he even put bait and a trail cam 20 feet up a tree,he got the elusive footage after 12 days I think, the final two days he spread hair traps around the forest to try and get DNA but failed at that BUT he has vowed to go back for DNA proof.3 points

Devastating to everyone involved. Lost a dog while playing on ice as kids, went through about 10 foot ahead of us in the direction we were going, probably saved a couple of us that day, never did mess about on frozen lakes after that.3 points
