  5. 'No prospect' of Thatcher statue being removed - BBC News WWW.BBC.CO.UK The £300,000 statue has been vandalised with eggs and spattered with paint since it... Apparently the statue has been 'repeatedly' vandalised. No it hasn't. Its been attacked twice. Once by some left wing attention seeking cockend and now it's had a hammer and sickle sprayed on it. Why don't the BBC say it like it is....that these attacks have come from left wing extremists. They would happily write the words 'right wing extremists' if it was a statue of a darkie or a poofter. I could

  6. To be fair, there's small pockets of folk dotted around the planet that actually want nothing to do with the modern world - they live in harmony with nature and, they probably have skills that we have long since forgotten. I'm stuck in the rat race, chasing little bits of paper with numbers and some old girls picture on them so that I can pay old c**ts whatever they say I owe them. It does make me wonder some times.

  7. Of course there's runs that last five or more minutes, I know, I've had them, but the number of times I've asked " how long do you think that run was ?" and the answer has been, " five minutes" and I've replied " no, it was just under two minutes" ! And people tell you they've had 500 yard slips on the lamp, and I say you couldn't even see the rabbit at 500 yards, and when it's paced out it way less than 200 ! Stand at the scratch line at a whippet track and look up to the finish line, 150 yards, then imagine 500 yards ! Yes, of course there's long runs, five minutes or more, a

  12. I never use my HMR so thought I would dig it out and see what I can bag with it over the Summer. Raining today on and off so wasnt expecting much but glad to be out of the house. Pulled into the farm and a few woodies in a field so got inside a barn which had a nice shooting window and bagged a woodie. I then went for a wander but nothing about apart from a roe and some greylags. I was only gone an hour and a buzzard had stripped the woodie bare , they dont waste much time.

  18. You have to be stoical about it ? Take my quest to educate young mC; to say it's a challenge, is like saying the 12 labours of Hercules were a walk in the park ! But will I give up ? NO SIR ! I see something in him, it just needs channelling in the right direction ? No matter that the likes of shaaark and green lurchers have given up on him......I'm there until I see positive results. Its like a modern day quest for the Grail, maybe just a little bit more difficult, but I'm a trier ! ? ! Cheers.

It's each to their own how you celebrate it I don't think it will be anything like the silver jubilee in 77 when there was still some community spirit in working class area's of Rotherham anyway. I admit I have never been a fan of the privileged class even though it's our history and its who we are as a country that's becoming more unrecognisable year after year.

We tried calling at the Hall in daylight , no joy so went back after dark with the thermal and again no show. Gardener has seen it through the day and the guy that has the larsen trap set has it on his trail camera. This looks like a tricky fox to get , not seen it yet but time will tell. The cubs were also a no show , not much luck tonight so headed to a field next to a small copse and right on last knockings 3 roe

Last nights outing was unbelievable little Hugo’s dad is good mates with an under keeper on a very big grouse moor, he rang me and asked if I’d like to go and shoot some rabbits up there, I sad yes because it’s somewhere different for a walk out, he said bring the 2 .17hmr’s and the .223 and we’ll have a look for a fox as well, all the way up there he said nobody shoots rabbits up here, they don’t have time, there’s loads, I thought, if I shoot a dozen it’s ok, just nice to be out somewhere different. When we got there there was a few kicking about and before we lost the light we had sho
