Out tonight and I really did not think that I would succeed with the full moon , but the wind was in my favour and I got tucked in under a hedge first to come along was the vixen 185 yards ,75 g v max 243 with the C50,end of , same as last week I left the carcass where she dropped, and 20 minutes lates along came the dog that’s me done on the foxes now for a while , I don’t like shooting milky vixens and leaving the cubs behind , so out tomorrow early with the dog and do my best to find the den , I have a good idea where it might be and sort it out , next time a fox will be in the9 points

In my opinion, the Saluki influence bring a hell of a lot to the table....? I am an devotee of the herding based lurcher, but my best ever catch dog, was nie on a Saluki.... I never won any coursing matches,.. but I did put a deposit on the house I now own through her exertions I was a born loser, going nowhere fast,...I will never forget that superbly game and skilful pot filler... Mercedes,. I thank you....?9 points

I've met him, and I have absolutely no hesitation in describing him as a shithouse. One of his notable porkies was telling people he had lived and hunted with the red indians............turned out he once had a game of pool with a yank who had a Native American relative. Cheers.6 points

A few things he wrote didn't measure up to first hand experience, I wonder the controversy and criticism his works would attract if published nowadays with the Internet transparency.6 points

Everyone different. I'll be out more the next couple of months than any other time, solely to help ground nesting birds. I'll also shout at any naughty badgers.6 points

Well, folk say that 'Travel broadens the Mind'...and I've had plenty of opportunity to hunt/shoot with close pals, who have pursued Boar, and various deer species, all over Europe, but, I'm not a shooting enthusiast , so it has never appealed to me. Same with the walked up Grouse, Goose flighting and Woodcock shooting.. My pals all reckon it has been great craic and they always return from their trips away, invigorated and full of stories. I've probably missed out on a lot of great sport..? Even when in the Sahara, and amidst the High Atlas or the lovely wild places of Anatoli5 points

Yes writers can bullshit. It comes with the territory. For me, separating fact from fable is part of the fun. I have fond memories of Friday nights in the eighties. My two boys and me would compete for the Shooting News where Plummer was star man, along with Daergi and old Phil on here. Then we would get fish and chips and a VHS film. Not forgetting Tiswas on a Saturday morning. They had their slapstick and I had that eye candy woman whose name escapes me.??5 points

Always hunted rabbits then when a bit older hunted pigs and other stuff. To me hunting rabbits with little running dogs or rats with terriers can't be beaten and though I see the appeal, excitement of hunting exotic or big game I don't get as much out of it as going local for a mooch and taking a couple of daytime rabbits with the dogs then sitting around a fire at night with them thinking about the day out.5 points

Big gay Dave has the same political leanings as yourself, but at least he has the ability to offer an educated opinion and debate not just more of these pathetic memes then refuses to answer any questions, you really are a sad pathetic excuse for a man and represent a lot of what’s wrong with this country, ??4 points

Ive said it time and time again.....we should have left them where we found them. We observed, acknowledged and was sympathetic to the obvious difference in basic racial IQ by providing a way out from the slop and degradation of the societies they had created for themselves.....only to later on be told we abused the poor people and must therefore surrender everything we have created to them including our own identity.....to claim that mass immigration does not change the nature and identity of countries is intellectually dishonest but is the price we must pay for the help we provided these4 points

I think the truth around the Plummers and Hancocks of the dog world ? is somewhere in the middle. They certainly weren't the Demi Gods some aspire them to be but I don't think they were the rogues and scoundrels others claim they were.3 points
