My misses works in a care home, after she had our first child she went back as a cleaner instead of carer and it was only 40p a hour less. f***ing unreal with all the responsibilities that come for caring for folk.

Finally got most of the stuff I felt I need to start casting my own bullets. Made my first small run tonight. Didn't even get half way though my 10lbs lead pot and have close to 100 or so .225 dia 55gr bullets. Just gotta do a quick sorting after they dry then they get powder coated ,gas checked and sized. Hopefully I can get good at this because if my calculations are right I can get about 127 55grain bullets per pound of lead,would really be a money saver at least for plinking ammo Anyhow just figured I'd share, I'll let y'all know if they shoot well or if I end up wasting a few pounds

Just thought I'd share a couple nattys I've made during lockdown. The one on the right is now my faveouite shooter the one on the left has some very interesting spalting but is a bit of a small fork width for me so may give to a friend or family member. Both forks worked on with a folding saw / pocket knife / small file / sandpaper / polyeurethane spray varnish. Not sure what the wood is perhaps beech or hawthorne and I quite like leaving a bit of bark on it helps with grip. Really liking the feel of nattys more and more compared to my other hdpe or boardcut cattys.

Second outing

It's taken me over 40 yrs to see a wild badger with my own eyes, let alone photograph one... Probably the hardest image i have ever had to work for, after spending countless hours, weeks and months over a period of 5 years or so sitting at different setts and sites i finally got my 1st sightings and images of a wild badger.... This sow became very tolerant of my presence and had the pleasure of watching her and her 4 young cubs over the summer and into the end of autumn... Might not seem much to some on here and it may have many haters but to me, this is probably the most treasured a
