Bumped in to this fella a few years ago when I was working in Sheffield. I could see him struggling with his case and nobody had the decency to help him out. I went over and asked him if I can carry his case for him to the bus stop. On the walk I got nattering to him and it turns out he was going to France for some sort of memorial. He was part of the Normandy Landings, God bless him. I hope the legend is still going strong, he will be at least 100 now.14 points

Up at the sheep farm although 90% of the lambs are a good way on now there is still a troublesome fox about bothering stock around the the farm. The farm hand has been baiting a hedge back in a small paddock where the tups will spend the spring, so with a good idea ( or so I thought ) of where it is coming from and a shot of between 50 and 70 yards I took the .17. On arrival I thought I’d walk to the top of the farm where two fields have been left after a failed oilseed rape crop, the amount of bird life in these fields is unbelievable, but a couple of rabbits was what I was after for a Saturd8 points

not many people mention this about deerhound in a cross but it adds a long back to a collie cross and this gives it a better stride for covering rough ground (like rocky, heathery places). It also can give a steady temperament but a GOOD collie cross should have this anyway. Length of leg and size as many collie crosses, especially the bitches can turn out 22 to 23 inches and IMHO that's too small for a real RHFD dog. I do like collie crosses though and I've had more of them than anything else over the years so I know what I'm talking about. I own a deer/grey ATM and she's the s7 points

My lad (now 20, don't know where the years went) made this custom flipper for my anniversary. He has made a lot of fixed blades but this is his first folder so he has set a pretty high bench mark for himself! Blade is 01 tool steel with Stainless Liners and Oak scales6 points

All looks a bit drama club to me....ive got visions of the pair of them sitting on the blower at night to each other " you say this then after that i,ll say this and you get fired up..... " For a geezer whos supposedly lived a violent life it amazes me that he hasnt yet realised some of the very basic ways that real and authentic supposed " tough guys " act....the proper toughies ive ever known or been around did very little of that peacock posturing and threat displays....a genuinely intimidating man intimidates with his presence not with his mouth, usually the more a man tries to intimid6 points

That should be lesson learnt about mouse guns. Taking one for foxes is like turning up at a gunfight with a knife. Stupid boy!?5 points

Wasnt 100% where to post this but since hogs are a pest animal for us guess i figired this would be proper lol. This guy has been Rooting up a good section of cow pasture as well as the neighbors yards. Put a root feeder and camera out and about 8 days got his pattern down. since he stayed bedded up in the thick stuff during the day i broke out the my NV rig and trigger around 11:45. 123gr wolf HP ( gun is a AR-15 with a 7.62x39 upper ATN x sight 2 and Coyote Reaper XL ir) dropped him like a sack of bricks. Getting him off should help with the fawn recruitment as well. He4 points

A white female bully to a yellow bully cock on eggs. A pair of norm siberian bully's on eggs but the hen has lost a lot of feather a don't know weather it's with the male tredding her or she's coming into molt strange. People may mock this beefed up air rifle, but it shoots some distance to good effect, I’ve shot a lot of foxes with it normally between 70 and 100 yards and last night I shot this little rape muncher at 176 paces, I had to pace it out because I couldn’t believe I hit it ?3 points

The generation of which you speak are being disproportionately effected by this virus. This is being played out with the data we have at present. I won't pull the current stats for brevity, and open to correction by anyone, but over 55 your risk from this virus is double anyone under 50 and compounds into the 60's and 70's. Yes there are newsworthy examples of the extremes but we have data from 3 countries that is showing this is hitting the elderly the worst. Every preventative measure you've currently listed isn't preventing this. While quality nutrition is indeed extremely important it does3 points

Beddy/grey x bull/whippet was the sire to one of my first lurchers. Only 21" tts, but he was a murderous little fcuker lol. He was smooth coated too3 points

Dan I think a lot of lurcher lads are in the same boat as what you have described ie family an day to day life plus having a dog that will not get as much action as previous dogs times have definitely changed fella for us all it’s just others are afraid to admit it! Especially over the Internet they feel it’ll damage there lurcher world credibility as a dog man an continue having a number of dogs even though they ain’t got enough work to go round to warrant them all as workers!3 points

always thought beddyx grey x bullx whippetx grey make very good type lurcher , not ovr big say 23-24in 55lb there abouts take all quarry more so in the lamp .3 points

That’s what they hate that and the frets someone tells you there gunna burn your farm you’d hate the c**ts aswell Lol when a good few farmers sympathise with the dog lads I have farmers tell me watch out for dog walkers they report you I don’t have permission they have seen me for years no what I’m doing leave me be but they see me driving on there land I’d be gone not welcome it’s like lads today are doing it for the agg they like the drama and to get chased in there Subaru We’re I live I’d got that out me system by the time I was 15 years old bombing about taking chases on cub 90s to O3 points
