  3. Had a morning down south today, we had a lad over from Holland this week who sorts us digging. Had him out last night lamping as apparently your not allowed a lurcher over there? Ferreting with nets and the little saluki whippet bitch of my mates as my bitch is in season? Stopped for food at 10 o'clock then bolting to the guns.... Would of stayed longer and shot some ducks but unfortunately had a call from the wife, someone had broken into my works van for the second time since last Saturday ? Ended on 14 healthy rabbits, 1 hare, 1 partridge and cock and hen pheasant ? Few

  4. I've had another thread going titled Remington Tyrant .22 reason being I was thinking of buying one....and quite a few other choices along the way. Well I was 50 last Thursday and ordered myself a new gun off Sportsguns and it was delivered this morning. I went with a Remington Sabre Thumbhole .22 it was delivered this morning at 9.30am by sportsguns also known as Cardigan sports, well worth £19.50 delivery charge.I can't fault the level of customer service right from the time I placed my order over the phone, the text with delivery date and 3 hour time slot,to the delivery this

  6. Now that’s day three over and it was certainly a wet one, from the moment we got there the rain didn’t stop, 44 was the bag, I managed 8 myself and the rain didn’t seem to stop them getting above the trees, providing some nice sporting birds, everybody got some shooting which is always good to see, as we moved out to the back of the shoot the cloud lowered as you can see in the picture, that’s longshanx on the next peg to me, on this drive you could hear the birds coming long before you could see them, it was a early finish today, so all back down to the pub for a warm, a drink and a few nibbl

  15. I think legal coursing, on land that you have permission on is the best sport around, and most easily defended. Unfortunately we are all under the spot light and anything we do is exaggerated by the antis, to get stricter controls, and by the media to sell papers. Unfortunately the idiots affect us all in exaggerated ways. Coursing and running dogs have a larger percentage of idiots than any other fieldsports. If coursing simply consisted of quiet countrymen doing their thing on land they have permission on then the media wouldn't know they existed. Unfortunately the nob heads hav

  19. This pic is what rabbiting is about for me. Was supposed to clear a load of bunnies off but my two kids have been giving it the biggun saying those two would catch more bunnies than me and my Mrs going out for an hour with a long net each. My daughter is the best rabbiting partner I have ever had she has been out everywhere with me from a very young age so she knows her stuff but on the other hand my Mrs means well but always manages to mess stuff up lol so we are having a little wager so whoever catches the most bunnies in an hour so if the kids win they get 50 quid each but if we win we

If that is a white boxer then he deserves to be eaten for the better of the breed. Them white ones carry every defect possible to the breed.

  22. Your one of those who sit there fishing at night while everyone on the opposite bank is blind or diving for cover thinking a train is coming? did borrow my mates the weekend for a bit of lamping with the catty and must say once you had worked out the 3 million button pressing combos to get to the spot light option it worked quite well and I got my first rat with the catty well chuffed sorry to say I didnt really like the size of it either was like having a fag packet strapped on my forehead, some of the cheap Chinese stuff is as good for a fraction of the money, though not in the eyes of the t

  23. Had a right bloody night. Got to a decent place and started running the net out but had borrowed it to a mate of mine as it is just a spare one as the kids had my 100yd one but the idiot had put it away with loads of sticks and twigs etc in it so had to put all net back away to try and not spook the bunnies so went to another field to run it out and clear it and put away properly. Was my fault as should have checked it but it was just a spur of the moment fun thing with the kids. Went back to the field as there were still a few bunnies out and then about 50 cows turned up my mate normally

  32. It’s pretty shit at the min tbh mate......£60-£80 a tonne on light round the midlands but more if you take it to the docks......as I live right in the heart of England that option is f****d for me lol i only do it as a side line now really, advertise on Facebook/gumtree etc and have my own website plus I’ve found a guy who buys any decent washing machines etc off me to fix and sell and also try and sell anything I can that’s not scrap so it’s all good. Got a car transporter to and no a few breakers who give you a much better price than the scrap yards for decent motors and that helps make

  38. There was obviously a cold hearted accountants calculation in changing the pension age in Britain. They figured that X amount of people will die in those extra couple of years so they simply won’t have to pay them.....it really was as simple as that. Now this may sound mad, but that isn’t that important......what’s important is why they are having to make that calculation and why the country is trillions of £££s in the shit. Now, there can only be one answer......costs are out of control and when any party is making large promises with money they don’t have it’s bad ! There

Most people's idea of a feral dog is a street dog or a couple of generations feral. These wolf like animals I saw could have been a couple of hundred years evolving in the rugged mountain bush here. They looked way more wolf than dog.I've never seen anything like them before or after, they genuinely fit into the environment up there.
