I would totally agree with this , have seen plenty cracking pointers and some stunning working labs. I think even with a good working strain of lab in a lurcher cross you'd still get too many heavy pups . I would also go for a good working strain rather than a trialling lab. This is my young lab who is just over a year old.8 points

Too the chance to drop the Xmas bottles and hamper off with the keeper today so I took the youngster with me, killing two birds with one stone, as we pulled into the yard he had already got our quad bike our and trailer, his young son took us to our chosen spot for today, abit of a gyll and thick bracken beds, that’s absolute terreable for preventing the longnets sitting right, then picking up every bit of dead bracken on the way. We started slowly bolting 1s&2s then a few 4s 5s and a final 6, we ended on 19 much to the youngsters annoyance, he wanted to beat his 23 from his debut outing b7 points

....seem to work better! ? When I was hunting ole' Mr Fezzywinkle this afternoon I noticed yet more fresh prints and they were BIG! So bored with TV by 9pm I went for a walk. Spotted him an hour later. Another half hour of stalking and shots fired. Federal 30grn Speer bullet. 70 yds or so, broad side. U.4 points

Lol you know what, I know a few gypsies, travellers etc, and I still haven't heard em call lurchers 'jukels' either. But I'm from south wales lol. Seems odd to me as well fella, like everyone with a lurcher wants to be known as a gypsy!4 points

Hunting over with ye boys is in a bad way and its very sad to see but lads with camera phone out on every hunt is messing the game up for yis. Whats wrong with going by yourself or close mate and no hunting pictures online. Very easy move about for a mooch alone.4 points

we done all that before, in London i went on ever march , was 1000's there the Ban still happened .Even if Labour got back in, god forbid , all what would happen they put more restrictions on the fox hunting ( horse back) but the old running dog what ever the x , or the so called new dog lol , they make it hard to own a lurcher , more so if it was smooth coated with bit of size to it, all this is just another nail in the coffin for people that like to own/work a running dog .We really are minority regards hunting with dogs, before the ban alot of people joe public werent that bothere4 points

One day someone will write a book about Harcombe and I for would love to write a chapter .Hes pulled the wool over many lads eyes .This latest pup selling has me reeling considering he stood up in front of a dozen lads years ago and condemned a lad for selling on a pup he bred plus he wrote about the fact terriers and money don’t mix .Many lads been sucked in by his bullshit over the years ,something I saw through when he doubled up in the easiest of places years ago on a Welsh hillside . He one of those people that to the uneducated ,he can talk a proper day out ,tell lads the way to4 points

I've been dying to get out for quite a while using the lamp but we've had either unbelievably windy Weather or it's been tipping it down so tonight was the first time I've been out with the lamp for a few months now. It was one of those lucky lamping sessions where the rabbits hang around just long enough for you to get the shot off comfortably. Having said that i did stalk one across 3 boggy fields before he finally made off through a creep and onto private land.....next time bugs! The 99 that Si sent over earlier this year has probably only just bedded in. Its climbed to 11.63 points

Lol I've read it thousands of times over the years, especially on here the last 10 years. But I have NEVER heard anyone actully saying it! Lol. Cur, mutt, lurcher, yes, but NOT jukel lol. Perhaps if I'd have referred to my LURCHERS as JUKELS, I might have had more success with them? ?. But I doubt it! Lol ?3 points

Sky news yesterday people were discussing the subject, some guy said "These people must be so desperate" and the rest nodded their heads in assertion f***ing idiots, desperate when they were under no threat in france? They are freeloaders, putting their children in danger,This is the beginning, they have learnt, advance parties have landed and know its not as difficult as many thought theres been roughly 100 since Christmas, the taps trickling at the moment, its going to flood, its going to get worse when some kid, toddler drowns, the pics of the corpse washed up on the beach (the parents fault,no one el3 points

The average bred lurcher is more than enough dog for the majority of lurcher owners past and present, this type of jukel will never ever need to become anything other than what it is and what it was bred for.Ill warrant if ego,s and the tinternet never played a part in the reputation of the mutt and owner then the average lurcher would be a beast we could all live in contentment with.In the not to distant past some outstanding owners wanted a mutt a tad above average, not the one trick pony and thick as fack dross many see as the elite lurcher now, mutts that ran a tad smarter for a tad longer,mu3 points

sometimes i wish i never discovered the internet. i know all this would still be going on but ignorance is bliss. i have nothing to do with running dogs, never been out with them and have a limited interest in them. but that article has wound me up no end. i dont like unfairness and that article is a load of bollocks. it fuels hate against people.3 points

New breed ?? phyco poaching the rspca are shite bags plane and simple I had dealings with them for 3 years big court case and then they had to drop it they took it to the supreme court in London and got no where they were charging us wrong and told the press it was dog fighting instead of hunting c**ts the lot of them id like to see that place burn and the smaller shelters grow as they seem to help and the rspca just spend people's money on court cases that they rarely win3 points

For me I like to turn up on a field like an Apache gunship. I flick into scan mode using the red beam to highlight any potential targets. One detected 80yard! I prime my four legged missile which also scans the field with built in night vision and state of the art air scent detection system. Target acquired “Fox one” missile is released and like a f****n tomahawk she navigates the contours of the field with an ongoing risk assessment for any dangers in its path. The target knows it’s under fire and a “dog fight” is under way. Twists and turns, speed vs speed, intelligence vs intelligence. We h3 points

Yes as you will catch in a run more than once anyway and being nearly caught once by something it don't know what it is isn't enough to make a fox totaly run shy.it also won't ever catch hung on the shed wall either.?..2 points

Once upon a time he had russell's that worked hundreds of foxes that much is very true, were they of his own breeding or off a line he put together that produce regular workers is a different thing,i don't want to sound like i'm slagging a dead man who has dug more foxes than i ever will but he was banned for life from keeping dogs due to them being kept in shitty conditions so he means feck all to me respect wise,i was asking a genuine question..2 points
