One of the dogs pointed out a rat run from the hedge to the chicken run yesterday, so made up a couple of whips to see if I could catch the culprit. This morning full house! Will re-set them this evening. Can't beat a bit of old school. ?

Been a while since I've posted on here, but I thought I'd put up a few photos of a pup I bought, or should I say rescued. Stunted, half starved, legs like twigs and supposedly 8 weeks old, though she was no longer than my hand when I got her. Now, 3 months later, it has turned into the oddest looking thing. Just curious to see what other members make of her. She must have Collie in her breeding as she is a sort of red merle, though the speckling is only on her head and she has one ticked eye. With the summer cull over with I can relax and just shoot rabbits to order Saturday nite I shot 47 only 40 orderd but put a few extra and tonite 57 60 orderd but miscounted and cudnt be bothered to shoot 3 more iv been using the Vulcan and addonite and spotting with thermal still driving fields it's a great little combo

This is mine they are brick n block then 50mm polystrene backed with foil bubble wrap cavity insulation boards. Then lined with waterproof caberdek floor boarding.

With little or no leaf cover very easily.... They can't see through solid matter though (heavy leaf cover). No matter what folks think it's no f***ing Hollywood X-ray vision. LOL. There has to always be some direct line of sight. Likewise they can't see through windows. The thermal image is that of the window. IMO they're not the tool of a sportsman. It's too easy in my experience. Certainly with a rifle. With a running dog I can see the justification, especially for covert operations. Nevertheless, each to his own.

Cracking dog pal ?. I spoke to Richie when this litter was due as I was after a bitch pup but unfortunately for me there was only the one bitch in the litter which understandably Richie kept back for himself. A week or so later I heard of a very similar litter of four weeks old bred from a lad in Doncaster so called over to take a look, paid a deposit and picked her up a fortnight later. Dam is beddy/whippet x grey and sire is collie/ whippet x grey.

She won’t let me in the house after I’ve come out of the rearing sheds . I have to strip by the back door . I’ve also started to wear plastic gloves when I pick up foxes , nothing worse than that musky wiff when you are shoving toast in your mouth .

Had a nice couple hours this morning with my we beddy whippet greyhound

Our local town centre has always had a problem with rats around the river that runs near a shopping centre . Recently a pest control firm vowed to clear them forever lol a tall order . People feed the ducks to excess and signs are up everywhere not to but still it goes on . I happened by there after work and stood and watched a total of 13 rats taking bread back to holes . They were different rats of different sizes . The council has laid mesh over the bank to prevent them from digging holes but in their stupidity they used plastic mesh and now the bank is like a cheese lol . Perso

Shooting spring guns makes you a better shot with PCP IMO and that is why I practice with spring guns .
