Bred bitch to a sealyhem x Russell only small dog

So sorry to hear this sad news... Alan was a superb net maker and enjoyed the old style ways of harvesting game...He also liked hunting with a dog and during the late 1980s, he contacted me for a lurcher pup. He came down to my place in Hampshire and I let him have a nice strong Red Merle dog, from my Australian Cattle Dog lurcher x Collie /Greyhound litter...and like anyone else, back in the day, he quite rightly asked to see the Dam of his new pup working. We had a quick shine with my Speckle and Alan saw,... what he needed to see... He was a nice genuine countryman...?

Didn't have much luck replying to your question through messages.....so I'll try here.... Mines not as busy, busy as a springer ,neither crashes cover like one, but has the drive to hunt of one. Very gentle, loving nature and extremely bright. My positive comments for this breed are solely based on the style of hunting I do which is walking while the dog hunts in the day (95%) occasionally walking at night with my torch. Got up at 5.30 this morning for work to a text saying were not going so got my gear ready and went back to the paddocks where i was the other day, got 5 rabbits in about 2 hrs then went to another place and got a woody a ferral and a good few branchers but could only find 4 as under the trees were too overgrown with nettles and brambles
