  1. Not introduced this bitch the the group yet. 2 years ago, a few days after my 7 month old collie/grey was killed by a car, I was being offered many pups by kind people but nothing seemed to click. I spoke to Dan Poxon who had a couple left from his litter which I'd watched grow, including his original pick. So off I went, a 3 hour drive to have a look. It was a medium sized bitch puppy with a striking white blaze, she'd been my eye catcher when seeing photos of the litter. She had a good disposition and was playful with her litter mates and it just seemed right, so it was meant to be. Hei

Xia Boyu suffered severe frostbite after giving his sleeping bag to a sick teammate during a high-altitude storm near the summit in 1975. They were stranded for three nights before returning to base camp, and his feet later had to be amputated. Then, in 1996, his legs were also amputated above the knee due to lymphoma. However, Mr Boyu never abandoned his ambi

  3. Putting a tiny pup alone in a kennel in a strange place is asking for problems. She needs to be with you, not shut away on her own. 90% of the sort of problems you're having would not happen if the pup was able to cuddle up to someone. Dogs are social creatures, so being isolated is so terrifying: she has lost the security of her litter mates. You are a giant in a strange land. Some pups are more needy and worried than others, but to think that kennelling a pup alone will 'toughen it up' is an outmoded and cruel way of doing things. Keeping a puppy with you, letting it fall asleep on your lap

  8. Same as yourself fellah,... I only breed a few wee dogs, to suit my own needs... Not overly concerned as to what other folks want,..mine are usually gifted to like-minded souls, so the whelps are only ever used for a bit of mouching... Luckily, we all manage to catch a few rabbits and birds, and its always good craic to hear how the pups turn out..but, it ain't too serious?

  11. Haven't posted on here since December 2013! Thought it's time to show my face again. When I last posted, my young bitch Nancy was a family pet catching rabbits around the farm and stables. I was young, clueless, no idea how to work a lurcher and totally thrown in at the deep end. I picked brains for info, watched others from a distance and then found my own way with the bitch who is now 6 years old. She became a pretty damn good dog. I have ended up having several ferrets, and bred litters too. She is a remarkable ferreting dog with a brilliant nose, patience of a saint and cat

  18. I don't think it's easy to tell until you have worked closely with both. In terms of temperament, Cockers are soft as shit, they are very endearing little dogs away from the field, often wanting to be in contact with you. This can make them a bit sensitive to heavy handed handling though, they benefit from a handler that likes to bond with their dogs. Springers tend to have a 'hardier' nature, they are the dog for a handler that wants a simple working spaniel exclusively to do the job. From a working perspective each breed in the hands of a suitable owner are probably on par with each oth

  43. Saw this somewhere else , and thought ye might like it. The Presbyterian church called a meeting to decide what to do about their squirrel infestation. After much prayer and consideration, they concluded the squirrels were predestined to be there and they shouldn'tinterfere with God's divine will. At the Baptist church, the squirrels had taken an interest in the baptistery. The deacons met and decided to put a water slide on the baptistery and let the squirrels drown themselves. The squirrels liked the slide and, unfortunately, knew instinctivel

Hey Guy’s, we were out spotlighting the other night, and seen a few rabbits in a place that hasn’t had many for awhile, so we decided to take the dog’s, and ferrets for a bit of a run, I was accompanied by my Daughter Rachael, Brian, and big Kev. The object for the day was to let the dogs chase a few and hopefully catch a couple. We had a fun day with a few laughs and a bit of action, I always enjoy getting out with the family and friends. Please excuse the poor video quality, I had the wrong settings on the GoPro, it was still set up for night time filming, I did the best I could to ma
