Jest read Mr Corbyn says the blame of all these animals killing folk rests with the Tory’s because of cuts!........because obviously normal people wake up in the morning and think “Ahh, not many coppers round here....I think I’ll stab someone today!” Legendary !5 points

Just a bit of a update on my strange bred dog for those that are interested. He about two and a half years old now . Took him on after losing my Picardy cross which I rated highly. He comming on well these last couple of months and settling down and listening to me a lot more which has helped my arse stop twitching as much lol.. He looks like a big old lump bit is deceiving he just makes 30 kg and his 29 tts. Was watching him run a few golf course rabbits last night and was suprised how quick and nimble he is for such a big dog.4 points

A good book would be Penny Taylor's Running Dog Maintenance, that should see you through most of what to expect when owning a lurcher. Her user name on here is skycat, a very knowledgeable lady.4 points

100 percent..I have dug six foxes 4 dogs and 2 vixens 1 dig was a pair and the rest singles off the 1 farm between 4 fields all within 2 weeks and theres a few other men and a gun club on the same ground the reason..fieldcraft and checking the place in days so bad you wouldnt put a rumour out in it and thats the days I dug them..also when walking the ground reading the signs and being able to know when and where on the farm to check..also having the proper working dogs.. I lost count this season I have went to spots and 3and 4 pits at handy puppy spots only 2and 3 foot deep.. I live in a place3 points

Steel erecting and industrial roofing is our game, it ain't how it used to be though.. 18 and sitting with my ass clamped to a rafter 40ft up whilst a 60 year old Mancunian steps over you, nonchantaly saying "excuse me, my love" as if he is walking down the high street...the first frames I put up we had ladders and that was it, the older boys went up in the crane chain, 1 foot in a loop and onto the rafter to start fitting purlins... no cherry pickers, harnesses, safety netting under roofs etc.. thankfully times have changed, f**k thrill seeking at work, all my jobs are scaffold3 points

I would think if you put him to a greyhound, or longdog with no base blood, that would level out or lessen the chances of throwing dogs that would be too heavy, in theory anyway Plus the fact at 30 kg and 29" he aint exactly that big anyway. He's a fair bit racier than he looks under that coat3 points

Just remembered a joke about Phil Neville. The Man U first team noticed that Fergie was clocking off an hour early from training. "f**k it", they said, if it's good enough for him. it's good enough for us. So they all clocked off. Phil Neville drives home and sees Fergie's car outside his house. He sneaks a look in the windows and Fergie and Phil's wife are making love. Next day, Fergie clocks off early again and the lads follow suit. Phil Neville however carries on training. "What's up with you, ya scab" they say. "f**k that!" says Phil. "Fergie nearly caught me yesterday.3 points

The digging/lamping seasons just starting for some folks.... Sad but true.... What ever happened to giving stuff a few months peace? Guns, roads, young doglads and the weather will have a massive impact on next seasons numbers imo. Some just won't be told though as they know best. Next few months should be out stockbreaking and exercising your dogs, ratting along the Brooks etc, not f***ing next seasons sport up and your dogs in the heat. Always interesting listening to folks excuses as to why they they can't keep a dog from one season to the next lol. Being a responsible dog man is a year r3 points

Add to all that , pressure from “midnight cowboys “ with thermal . From what I hear fox numbers up and down the country are right down . I’m well foxed where I am and have litters of cubs near me doing well . The first I saw was early March . I was reading that interview with Darren Cashmore in EDRD this month and it made depressing reading . He says that good hunting areas have had their fox populations destroyed by night shooting with thermal. I’m a keeper myself and I have thermal , but I leave the foxes alone from about October when the pheasants can look after themselves. That’s because m3 points

Bowing to silly public opinion cost Liverpool with Suarez.......that whole turnout was ridiculous in footballing terms.2 points

That's good, but what is a complete raw meal? Is everything all minced up together, bone and all? If this is the case, being super picky again, the dog is just swallowing mush all the time and doesn't get the physical and mental satisfaction of chewing on carcases, which also keep the teeth tartar free. Might be an idea to add a chicken carcase to the dog's daily feed.2 points

One of sunderlands biggest problems is their culture of changing managers like socks......I reckon as a coach you would be looking anywhere else but there. It would be a sort of last resort job.......that club has enhanced nobodies reputation for a good few seasons now. Whoever ends up there, they need the backing of the board and the fans. They also need realistic fans who realise what level they are at and don’t harbour silly dreams.2 points

Bird with that logic anything is a cow in a field, because there is a rifle big enough to kill anything out there. So by what you are saying, nothing that us hunters hunt, is wild animals, not the dove getting shot by a shotgun, or the elephant shot with a 577 ne...2 points

I can only say what I’ve seen with my own eyes , but conventional Lamping either with dogs or rifles is not the problem. You will get lamp shy foxes . With thermal foxes haven’t got a clue . What I am seeing now is vehicle shy foxes who are disappearing when they hear a motor . But if you are on foot using a thermal spotter and night vision scope it is very easy to take out even the most cunning and educated foxes . In the hands of indiscriminate hunters who have no let up on foxes , they will wipe out an area I’m sure .2 points
