  8. You abviously live in a different world of terrierman than us. I can assure you if I tried selling one my digging buddies our pups I would get my skull craic of the concrete and never dig again. Selling pups sure does happen too but not 98% a the time that's ridiculous.

  9. Yes it was me that got banned on the airgun forum for pistol shooting rabbits. They thought it gives the wrong image and thought I was doing it to flame them. I made it clear that it was a special little area that when the cover is just right I can get very very close. Funny thing is photos of catapult kills were no problem! For the record, I am nothing special. I remember when we were trusted with real revolvers and pistols. I lament that we cannot hunt with pistols that use powder of any type. To pit my wit's and pick my shots with a pi

  11. Paddy walks into a pub, the bartender asks him, "what'll you have?" Paddy says, "Give me three pints of Guinness please." So the bartender brings him three pints and Paddy proceeds to alternately sip one, then the other, then the third until they're gone. He then orders three more. The bartender says, "Sir, I know you like them cold, you don't have to order three at a time, I can keep an eye on it and when you get low I'll bring you a fresh cold one." Paddy says, "You don't understand. I have two brothers, one in Australia and one in the States. We made a vow to each oth

I will give you one thing bill you are consistent ... every time you write a post it's consistently a bag of bollox ... the youngster I have is getting plenty of work quite obviously as she is my main worker at the moment and so far hasn't put a foot wrong and is putting plenty of gear away ... if she has a fault it is that she is to keen and is a 100 miles an hour at everything she does ..... as for working dogs that work day in day out you don't need to tell me how much it takes out of them I live it everyday however I know my dogs you don't and if this bitch can be healed she wil

  19. I went to see a farmer about a new permission on his fields the other day, and he said he had no problem as I have a good rep with other farmers who recommended me before. A good reputation and a good word travels around. I have another 1,000-odd acres of farmland and woods to shoot over. Sorted. Any other lad trying to get permission on this one, he said he would turn away. All because of his bad experiences with people who, he's let come on and bugger it all up with damage to his fences, gates, and strewn carcases of vermin left to rot. The more this century rolls on, the more dishe

  23. I had a dog many years ago who was predominately collie , the rest whippet greyhound I took that old dog everywhere, as in everywhere, he would wait on me at school and we’d go out, if I was playing football he’d sit at the side and wait , weirdly I never saw him asleep, ever, if you were awake he was! that little collie dog doddled up Lake District hills , swam rivers, ran miles daily, went beating with me for pheasants and foxes , Work the lamp Like a hoover , find rabbits were they didn’t know they were themselves and would do anything I commanded instantly, he cost me 5 p

  32. Be careful what you wish for. These are not just a pooch that needs a home as the owner is moving into a flat or such like, they are trained working dogs, and believe me they are not the type of dog 'most' people could take on. However i agree every effort should be made to home them, but that would need very very careful vetting, an ex handler maybe, a serving handler be no good as they are retired dogs, so would need to be left long periods with someone else looking after them. These are most definitely NOT the type of dog to be rehomed to general civilians, I know, I also ha

Mine are all pure sheep/cattle dogs but that's simply because I prefer their temperament...they certainly don't catch enough to keep most of the people on this site happy but they make me smile.

  36. The fact that your toiseach is who he is indicates how forward thinking this generation of Irish people are, anglo Irish relations are at an all time high over the last few years , the queen visited there in 2011 ffs, if a few old men in the border counties start their napoleonic rhetoric again, I’d like to think that the Instagram savvy generation have enough about them to say “nah, we’ve been down that road “ the idea of a hard border may be hard to swallow , but a physical barrier should be in situ, we want out, we shouldn’t allow our border to be intravenous , and w

Now boys, I have sold kit to Cameroon, Kenya, Nigeria and a few other non EU places......I put it in a container and off it went, end of story including the “make it up as you go along” import tariffs from the African customs blokes on the quayside !!! Thata exactly how hard it is to do business ! now, as far as border controls go......why do we need them on the island of ireland again?......last time I looked, everyone was Irish ! evweything else can get checked at POE ports in the UK thanks very much, problem solved, that will be 200 million Euros please Donald Trusk.

  42. Yeah South Australia is like that, we had rain the day before LOL and it looks like a desert the next. Is it the same there?Indian Runner Ducks lay around the beginning of spring and thru spring into the start of summer over here, but even if you get some that are a year old, they are different to chickens. The feeder is a great bonus, saves a lot of work, weatherproof and portable, an other way is to use a 'bump' stick so as they bump the stick it drops a little grain and when the ducks are full there is little left for rats etc. They will quickly learn to use it. Use a tin rub
