  2. five years ! When it happened I thought it was a watershed moment ,the step too far ,I wasn't looking for a take to the streets and attack Muslims reaction but I did think that at last those in power (in government and media )would finally allow a discussion followed by some action about the problems of Islamic attitudes towards radicals in their midst ,immigration and the safety of this country's citizens without the made up and dismissive "phobia " words being held up like a shield to prevent anyone who doesn't have a left leaning ,liberal ,do gooder ,look at me ,I'm a caring ,inclusive ,int

  5. back when I started a long long time ago ,saluki was introduced direct to peoples existing lurchers to improve coursing ability, but little did they know just how important these crosses would become in the creation of what we take for granted, todays coursing dogs have had generations of men breading best to best to achieve this, these dogs have such a deapth of breading behind them its unreel, here is an old pic from the early days the bigger bitch is fly beddlington lurcher cross saluki, this bitch was an awesome hare killer and a decent knock about dog the smaller bitch is off her to a n

I have several woodburners I,m in a smokeless zone yet I live just outside of avonmouth, my kids went to school in one of the 20 worst air quality schools in the country and most blokes round here die of the big C early the air is full of fly,s when the sun comes out ,I have 2 of those blue light fly zapper things in my kitchen all summer and fly screens on the door, several power stations and an Astra zenika chemical plant, that would leave a crater if it ever caught fire and I,m not allowed to burn wood, I respect your understanding of the sciences etc but I see it as no more than a governm

  9. My take on FX Impact I have had my fac FX.25 impact for about 5 weeks now . Haven't been on a proper hunting trip with it yet ,but what I have shot with FX impact amazes me crow at 109 yards ,three pigeons out to 85 yards ,two rabbits ,one at 97 yards and the other 89 yards and 4 squirrels at 35 yards and all went down with out ant flapping or kicking of any kind . It has taken me bit of time getting use to fac air and have been down my range pellet testing and to map out the gun ,scope and pellets . First Photo shows a 90 yard 12 pellet group outside in about 8 mile w

I completely respect the way you two lads like to know the facts and then form your opinion, I get it gents I really do..........however for myself I’m way past that (or behind?) and I now refuse to validate these people and their nonsense by even listening.......don’t care, don’t want to find out, don’t want to listen to it anymore......it will enevitably Be bollocks like it always is......they can just go away !

  12. breading the ideal lurcher is a tricky one to say the least, some want this some want that etc etc,, not to big not to small, with coursing dogs it was slightly easier because its more of a specialist type, with most folk wanting the same thing, and by crossing best to best, here we are with a dog almost pure in its breading, and with a couple of coat variations throes very nearly true to type, making the fi redundant. both greyhounds and grews can be to bullish, and headstrong that's why I believe by adding saluki by using a coursing type you will get a much steadier animal with a coursing

  13. First you said you had found badgers ripped to pieces on a farm you work... ripped to pieces was your exact words..as if some how somebody with a dog or dogs had done this... Now your saying they were shot... shot being you could see the holes in them from A SINGLE OR MULTIPLE firearm shot..SO THEY WERE not RIPPED TO PIECES AS YOU FIRST POTRAYED!..very worrying when a man trys to say he is at dogs all his life yet comes out with this pure BILE... ANTI shite... And it doesn't look good when their next to a public footpath... How do you know it wasn't a member of the public who has a

  16. Disconnect, refuse to acknowledge their data mate.......it’s f***ing nonsense. A complete refusal to acknowledge any type of buffoonery (no matter how well backed up by science) is the very first step in the disconnect process......and if we ain’t listening then they are talking to themselves The fact is, there are 98 gazillion cars in the world, industrial chemical plants, lakes in China like something out of 2000AD and Chernobyl but nah......2lb of cut up pallet on your front room fire is what’s going to do for you !! Mate, I’m never ever going to acknowledge nonsense like t

  17. Everybody was advised back in the day to get rid of smelly coal fires and start using clean cheap easy gas/electric. Coal fires died a death and then the powers that be gradually ramped the prices up on gas/electric so now its come full circle and people are going back to coal/log burner/stoves. Suprise surprise now they are wanting to ban stoves, lol so predictable the powers that be. As for ozone damage and clean air it's all another excuse to force higher/more taxation us . The mount Pinatubo eruption in 1991 released more harmful gas/smoke/toxic chemicals as well as 15-30 million tons

  25. Spotted some deer in a field on some ground I haven’t visited for a couple of weeks so decided to pop over following a short but freakish. They were in a field that I was able to approach from the cover of a wood and i spotted the candidate buck almost straight away. Unfortunately he was unsafe with houses behind him so I stood and waited hoping he’d work his way left when a risking bank of soft ground would absorb any pass through. He had other ideas and decided to couch only 50m away and I spent 40 mins looking at a perfect back of head shot that I was unable to safely take. At 9

I take it the 71 is the year you were born..as its also been stated and sadly I really do believe terrier work as we know it will not exist in 15 years from now if im honest...there are men on this forum good men at it over 30 some 50 years.. keeping excellent strains of terriers both white and black Lakeland and the odd border..keeping the old lines going..lines that when in the RIGHT yards thrive and are exact examples

She is running at a very consistent 11.6 ft/lbs and stunningly accurate with Falcon Accuracy Plus. To the front is the 1979 FWB Sport 124 ( .177) mk 1, topped with Tom B`s old Bushmaster 4x38 w/a. She is running at a very consistent 11.4 ft/lbs, also stunningly accurate with the JSB Exact Express. atb Mark.

I nevere ment to upset anyone with what I posted and I agree with you about those who post pics on Facebook etc of deer, Fox, coney etc, I have always looked at controlling pests as pest control not sport. The ban as done nothing for the animals it was set up for, in fackt it's made things worse as you know. I should have worded post different and maybe you would see in no way was this about honest lads digging. Atb
