This should make a few of you twisted buggers laugh, it did us. yesterday I moved one of my chicken sheds, and as always is the case we saw about a dozen rats. As always, I went out as soon as it got dark, the rats are always wandering around not too sure what's happened, and I bag up. so, I had been around one side of the pen, only one rat, sat broadside on at 17 yds, no match for the jsb it rolled over in submission. Walked the bottom fence and saw two more, knocked one down with ease, and the second one scurried off up the hedge line in the direction I was heading.7 points

I`ll be back to shooting the spring rifles shortly as I tend to shoot better with the Puffer rifles for doing so. My KT .177 zero is 38 yds using the Mamba 4-16 x 50 scb reticule. ( xmas tree) First shot was a rabbit at 36 yds lased, here`s my best mate bringing it to hand. The second presentation I got was a wood pigeon right above me, high in the canopy, all I had to shoot at was the underside of the head. The pellet flew true and accurate taking the pigeon cleanly. I follow some of these bedlington threads from time to time, and I've a question to ask a couple of you bedlington lads, especially morton. I've been interested in bedlingtons for years, and I've read up on the history of them as far back as you can go, and EVERYTHING I've read has said how versatile an ALLROUNDER type terrier they are, rabbits, rats, and fox etc, not just digging dogs. So why do some people on here bang on about them as being solely digging dogs? Genuininely interested, not looking for an argument. And if someone wants to keep them for rabbits, bushing, ratting or wha4 points

Too many family commitments this weekend so wasn't intending to get out but then a few spare hours this evening got the okay from the missus so quick as a flash grabbed the S410 and headed up the copse. As soon as I got there the leaf cover was very dense from my last visit and so there was only one possible area at the top where some trees had been felled earlier in the year. Whilst setting up a couple of woodies came in but I had yet to get the gun loaded so off they went. Once settled a couple of crows came in and presented an easy shot but just as I was about to squeeze the trigger I heard3 points

People knock Hermes but, I've sent a few rifles with them now and, they've always got there fine - it takes 2-3 days but the prices are good and you can track the item. It has to be well wrapped mind - couriers and sorting office staff will throw the parcel ....... The best way is to separate the action and stock to shorten the package. Then wrap both really well - bubble wrap is good because it weighs feck all and takes impacts well. Lastly, thick cardboard and shit loads of sellotape. Also, lie through your teeth about what's in the parcel - people get real3 points

Funny I have woken up with a few of them in my younger days, but they all looked stunning when I walked them home from the pub the night before ?3 points

If you do 5hit like that, you shouldn't be allowed to own a firearm. It's behaviour like that which gets us all a bad name............. Don't even start me on the scandalous waste !3 points

What a waste of meat,if you're going to kill an animal at least eat it or feed it to the dog's, there's only one rule in my house and that's no food in the bin,3 points

? I would think that the original poster's head is spinning... So much in-depth information and data, ...presented to us, in a most erudite manner. It must be comforting to look upon a canine pal in such an analytical and logical way... Personally, I still believe that certain dogs do have a genuine affection and close bond with their owners... Likewise, I genuinely enjoy, being around my own hunting partner,..we have great fun and life is a gas. Possibly, I am thinking along anthropomorphic lines, and maybe a contemporary student of training methods or a canine behav3 points

Our usual dog walk takes me to a farm where there are no earths in use and I take the thermal spotter just to be on the safe side to get terriers back should there be a badger afoot . I’ve recently seen a roe buck setting up territory near a road and spotted him same place , same time for 4 days running but at night . Yesterday evening myself and my son made plans to intercept him as he did his rounds from a nearby silage field .When we got there the field was just cut but the buck was up and narking ground . . We had a long crawl through the swaffs to a fence then a ditch that runs down the f2 points

Sorry mate beautiful foal but I just can't ignore the shorts white socks and trainers combo, you should have edited your legs and shown your face, I,d be expecting a visit from the fashion police for that ??2 points

I think you are correct. How dare someone of such uncouth arrogance dare come on here and upset the jovial equilibrium ?2 points

I hate waste and love goat meat so for me that's a double sickener, the only thing I intentionally kill without putting in a pot are rats and magpies, it's a respect thing plus I could of shifted that lot in minutes to the Jamaicans and Indians in Bristol even if they were used as dog food and skinned it's better than that, plus the damage things like that do if some veggie hill walkers came across it, sad how many people with that kind of mindset get granted a ticket when perfectly normal sane people like myself will never be granted one ???2 points

Nice write up Chris, lucky to get the picture of a badger.Quite rare round your parts I believe. ..........2 points

I'm much more concerned about things like this........... https://bigbrotherwatch.org.uk/all-campaigns/face-off-campaign/ While we're distracted by Trump's alleged dalliances and Royal weddings, the surveillance net grows ever tighter..........and nobody seems to care. The technology doesn't work terribly well just now, but that will change, and facial recognition cameras will allow "the authorities" to track our movements, in real time, without our knowledge.2 points

Same here. I've seen entire animals dumped missing only the antlers. Cut out of the skull with a Dremel. I cannot stand waste.2 points

Oh yeah but it's still good to see. I'd like to see people hold them accountable for their results not what they promise in their policies. The top two have had the best part of a century backwards and forwards to do it right but the common man still insists on proofreading the manifestos and either nodding in approval or rejecting it. They've had more than enough opportunity yet we never seem to get there.2 points

brits have always protested in the streets coal miners,ok it was a strike but still massive poll tax rally countryside rally anti war rallies fuel blockcades.......it goes on and on but still governments do what they want and not what the people want. i would like to see NOT ONE PERSON VOTE in the next general election.that will send the message on the people2 points

sad sight indeed i hate to see waste of meat and needless killing of animals. same shitt happens over here, flock shoot a herd of elk, they load one up and leave the rest or shoot a big buck, chop off the head and dump the the body. useless fcks dont deserve to hunt or own firearms more and more people are depending on food banks.butcher the damn goats up and take the meat there ffs2 points
