Load of gear to use up in the fridge, so while cooking the beef for dinner I’ve done some leek and potato soup ( with everything, few shallot’s, garlic, thyme, half a bottle of Pinot and half a tub of cream ) and couple of corned beef and potato pies, one for me and one for her to take into work

  9. Had a family ride to a few shops yesterday 20 minutes away, Crystal Peaks.. KD will know. We ended up at Cleethorpes 1hr 50 minutes later!! Totally unplanned.. weather was grand so thought why not! Didn't realise the Stags where playing Grimsby until we drove through there. Been to that fixture year's ago.. I wanted to go for first half but our Doris wasn't given to autorise it! Only Cleethorpes.. but was nice to get to the coast! Had the obligatory chippy as you do!! Turned out a cracking day.. bit longer than planned though!!

  10. Thing is mate does it really matter when it 5 or 6 generations back does it really matter as its only breeding terriers.Youve only got to look at some of the brain dead illiterate c**ts producing working terriers to see that it ain't exactly a science.

  15. Sounds like you've a fair idea of things as is Steve. Reckon you need 2 lifetimes to get a proper grasp of line breeding... Just when you think you've cracked it, you're thrown a curve ball. I don't care who you are, no-one is an expert! I've been around and dug with some of the greats. And although great terriermen, they made mistakes and didn't get it right just like everyone else. I agree all good dog men have to be obsessed and live for terrierwork. What I would say is and this is just my opinion and like everyone else I'm no expert. You need to know the breeding behind your line, the good

  16. It's not a case of Hrgovic or joyce being overrated but a case of zhang be underrated...joyce needs to stay away from capable southpaws they are all wrong for him zhang was able to neutralise Joyce's jab and was quicker with the straight down the pipe left that joyce is with the right...I had joyce as favourite I thought he'd weather the storm and come on late as zhang faded but it wasn't to be, that's heavyweight boxing for you.

  20. One dog I had, Bubba a pit/bullmastiff, not overly big at 35kg but he had hybrid vigor on a grand scale, lol. I used to have to walk him for km's every day, throw balls for him and let him swing on a tyre just to keep him happy. I got too old for him, lol as he died at 18. I was relieved in a way when he did but he never had a day sick and cost me nothing in vet bills. Pic of his last Christmas at 18.

  23. After a fair few years without a running dog in my kennels, I’ve recently picked this lad up. Pumping the grub into him as he was a bit too lean for my liking when I picked him up and he’s growing like a weed. 14 weeks old, 18tts. Wheaten/Bull/Grey x Saluki/grey

  24. I see dogmandont and foxdropper having a wee spat about line breeding in general talk so I thought I'd start a thread here for anyone interested. Now I never started a line but was kindly given 2 older bitches and a bitch pup from my mate who kept this particular line for years. Great I thought as both older bitches were top class and had bred good pups in the past so when they came in season I promptly done repeat matings of what had produced before, all I had to do now was wait and I'd have a kennel full of workers. What a disappointment the pups were shit and only a couple of w

  37. In 2022, a crack long distance unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the general talk section of the hunting life . Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune . If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him on the slop ..maybe you can hire MC Hull."
