  2. There's a pair of peregrines living in the quarry.they raised 2 young this year.been watching them learn to fly and start catching pigeons the last few months.seen many strikes but the pigeon sometimes flys off leaving a load of feathers floating down..often see just a pile of feathers every few days. But they caught 1 today right by the side of the road..First pic he's just below the puddle.second pic zoomed in...after stripping feather and eating a bit and after a struggle to take off about 6 times he managed to carry it up the rock face..

  5. Can't agree Wilf sorry mate I would have help drag them out the way and I'm 70 sod them. They are the ones blocking the road stopping people earning a living or going for a hospital appointment etc etc. If they want to make a peaceful protest then do it at the side the road or in a park. Imposing there actions their views on other people imo is not peaceful. Have a petition see who supports you or make you point outside the houses of Parliament. Got no time for them and they are not doing their cause any good. Cheers Arry

  14. Well last night was a case of the Good the Bad and the Ugly ? The Good 2 foxes were shot ....The Bad 2 foxes were missed ...The Ugly 1 fox was gut shot. My mate was shooting at his permission which is basically some stables with a few paddocks but he does keep hens. Set up and after calling for an hour without seeing anything I thought we would blank. I decided to go to the boundary wall and look in the next field as the property owner had already squared it with the farmer next door that if any foxes were seen in his field to shoot them. Immediately I picked up some eyes but the wind was gus

  15. Went out tonight with just the pup, not the best conditions, warm still and ambient light from a nearby industrial estate but the rabbits obliged lol. First rabbit, jumped about 10 yards away, he never saw it ?, second one, good run and put 3 turns into and unlucky. Third one, a squatter, took it out the seat ? two laps of the field later and he dropped it at my feet, well crunched ? Fourth one, he ran it into the hedge and it popped back out and he had it, couple of small circles and he brought it back, almost to hand. ? Had a few more handy ones but he wasn't looking d

  17. I’ve read the last two pages of this as I guess it’s all in response to the video of this insulate Britain mob getting pulled off the road going around. To me they used the minimum level of force needed to clear the public highway. There wasn’t any battering or roughing up. Old folks like many other demographics should be treated with a greater level of respect than the rest of us… but that has its limits, and it’s not unconditional. As much as we need to reclaim our community and morality we need to reclaim our senses and stop letting folks run riot because they fit in an untouchab

  18. Well, I expected my hinges to arrive today. Got my new Opinel and a dreadful pair of knee pads instead! Chucking the knee pads out ~ not worth the hassle of trying to return them. " Wright Fit ". Avoid them at all costs! Or any like them. They're a generic style on Amazon. Anyway, having got That off my chest! Mate of mine, on line, had specifically asked to see the doors. Dunno why. But, as I finally got them pretty well 'fully' fitted, today, I took a shot. Thought I'd may as well show it here. Hinges'll probably be here tomorrow. Then, I have to sort the bloody catches out

I can always tell when autumn is here when the pigeons start flocking up and I start seeing a lot of deer, where I’m working today is right next to the river Tees and it’s just a constant stream of woodies using the river as a flight line, the amount of duck is mental as well, might have a word with my mate because he has the land 800 yards up from here

  28. I agree. I'm 69 and if I was being a shithouse, I'd expect a reaction. Just because you are getting on a bit doesn't give you carte Blanche to act the c**t. They are the instigators here, not the people reacting to them. Dragging them off the motorway isn't the same as giving them a slap, which I would completely disagree with. Cheers.

I chose to celebrate our anniversary at the Mowchat Tandoori, with a beautiful Chicken Jalfrezi .. I have no regrets, spending my life with one woman,...I had plenty of action in my youth, so I have no complaints? Facts are, its great when you change from constant fecking to priceless friendship,....I would be lost without my Wife.... Stay safe now Brothers,. all the best, OldPhil.?

It's not like it's protesting against a dictatorship or communism, it's about insulation ffs. Go and bug some MPs...

Met Geth (White Van Man) at 8am, put a few long purse nets in our pockets to stop the top of the hedges and the rest was up to thd dogs...took his cracking young bitch Dotty and my old hound Fergie... It all went well, bolted a few, caught a few mainly thanks to the dogs and missed a couple....sat in the sun and had a yap whilst drinking Coffee supplied by my "in the field carer", Geth...lol... even packed us up some ham and cheese wraps and short cake biscuits... thanks mate.. We were done by 10-30... both had a list of jobs

  38. Fuel drivers need to be ADR qualified this takes approximately 1 week on a intense course and a refresher has to be taken after 5 years (ADR is a euro directive, it used to a hazpak that took a day to complete!) . What is not being reported is a great deal of fuel tanker drivers lost their ADR's during the lockdown and could not or did not want to take their refreshers. The average age of a HGV driver in the UK is 54 and as the ADR is not easy to pass a number have decided not to renew and take advantage of the current situation and switch to standard haulage. Also companies fuel tankering com
