  5. A follow up post from a previous topic i made a few month back. Bryn is out of my own dog bracken, and here is at 5 months. A few weeks ago he had a little taste of ferreting around the longnets for a couple of hours. He picked up that jumping the longnets was better than running into him. All a learning and they don't learn in the kennel! Also a group pic of my pack down the allotment. Cheers andrew.

  9. 3/8. Only ever ran on fox so can’t comment on what they’re like on anything else, but in my opinion this one would be quick enough for everything in the uk but he just wouldn’t have the tank to run hares. One of the fastest lurchers I’ve ever owned. And a bitch out of the litter that didn’t make it.

  10. After much though we have decided to line our bitch with our well bred hound x dog .he has an exceptional voice when on and will face all cover like the brian dog lines.unfortunatly brian isn't getting any younger and has just gone 9 .although very fit and has plenty of life left in him .there will be a time when he is finished. Hopefully the bitch takes and we have some young fresh blood .??

  11. I took my nephew in to live with us for s while because my sister couldn't take all the pressure at the time. It was suicide watch 24hrs with him. It's unbelievable the pressure and strain that can put on a person. The poor lad had serious issues, and seen things no adult, let alone a child should should have seen. But thankfully, with the right help he's back to been a normal healthy teen, but he knows now he has a place here to come to if he needs to get away for things for a while. Atb j

  12. That’s a pretty spiteful post about someone’s, daughter, sister etc. What was she to you that you’d post that? I know nothing about the girl but seen earlier that her boyfriend (who she’s alleged to have attacked) is heartbroken by her death. Seems strange that he could forgive her, but you couldn’t.

  14. I've carried medium sized munty bucks in a large game back over my shoulder: helps if you gut them first as that makes up a lot of their weight. But as has been said, they do vary a lot in size, and the biggest I ever saw must have stood a good 24" at the shoulder, but that was a one off and it was very old and skinny. My old Deer/Grey caught them for fun in the open (big striding dog of 28") but they aren't that fast in the open. It's the way they can streak through apparently solid brambles without trying that really keeps them safe. Their speed in cover makes them almost uncatchable unless

  18. I would have lost at least one dog permanently with out collars. He fell into an underground water tank a long way from where I was. No way in the world I would have found him without the tracking collars. When I went in to get him there was a full deer skeleton and lots if other bones down there. It would've been a shit way to go

  22. I dug out a few old pictures. They are 15-20 year old from a disposable camera so poor quality. It is another form of terrier work in America.Thought y'all might enjoy them. Most hogs were taken live handcuffs hold them well but my dad made hobbles that worked good.I have been to the woods with hundreds of so called breeds of hog dogs and hunted with one of the founding members of American bulldog. When your legging a hog you must trust the dog holding it.The only ones I trusted were apbt.

  23. 2 of my close mates lost a parent to suicide...they have struggled with it ever since.. one was only 14 when his mum topped herself, must be a terrible place to be when you can see no other way out but death... I agree that for most of us this seems a cop.out and an extremely selfish act... but the mind can be a terrible thing, I feel sorry for anyone who makes such a terrible decision.... I feel even more sorry for those left behind...

  25. That is a bit of a simplistic view of this. It ain't like she was up for treason. Only common assault. The boyfriend didn't want to press charges anyway. It was plod. First offense, smack on hands and sent for councilling She had problems like a lot of people. being in the spotlight with cameramen waiting at every turn being bullied on social media with even death threats from internet nutters cant be easy. like the royals find. I suppose it could be argued that if you choose to make a good living as a celebrity you run the risk of infuriating the mob and having it turn on you. The very

  29. I think thats proven nonsense these days. Eat as much fruit as ya want, particularly the stuff high in fibre. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/is-fruit-good-or-bad-for-your-health#section5

  30. She was right about the fruit, it's full of sugar, so is bread and most foods. What I did was weight out every bit of food I'd eat a a meal time, do a calorie count and stick to it. For something sweet, I'd have Greek yougort with honey and dried fruit. I know it sounds like a pain, and it is at first, but it will become a habit after a while. Also your carb intake, should be looked at. Bread, pasta rice ect ect. The lower the carbs the better. Check out the keto diet. You can find it, but goggleing diet doctor. It's very good imo. Good luck with it. Atb j

  32. boys i know that do it basically use first season as way of ensuring they are 100% with sheep, putting them in situations where they could go wrong and watch how they react. if they're 2 miles from you and go wrong it's too late

  34. There is a huge difference between shooting something straight up and nearer to ground level. You need to brush up on your physics matey. You only have to compare the huge rocket required to carry a payload straight up compared to a relatively smaller vehicle flying a payload horizontally. Gravity is constant, velocity isn't. The lighter the free flying object the faster it slows, also factor in the faster it goes the more force is acting on it in the opposite direction via the atomsphere. For example, try launching a paper airplane at 4000fps, how far would it go? No where, opp

  35. I've been in what they call the corner country between NSW,Queensland and the NT.Thats propper outback with camels, donkeys and everything else. It's a great place to visit with the night sky a dome of stars around you as it's so flat.I couldn't live there, it's horrifyingly remote. One of the towns out there is known as the suicide capital,so while beautiful and free it's also depressing to live with. And I live in the bush lol.

  36. All people and situations are different, sometimes giving the head a wobble and cracking on can be a good thing but for others it can lead to a life time of torture no one knows what each individual is going through or what they can do about it if they've really hit the bottom, for some people sometimes there really is no way out.

  37. Right I’ll try and get back to all of your posts in a oner. I find it very unusual that the cozzers were pressing ahead with this which i think means that the level of violence used means that the coppers has to be seen to do something. If her and her fella split what was to say the next time she meant mental with another guy that lamp wouldn’t be a knife? I don’t see any media bullying whatsoever , in fact I find the support she had quite sickening from high profile figures as if she been male and doing that to females they would have hung her out to dry. I see some high pro
