  1. Its been a quiet rabbiting season...my worst ever... I've been lucky to receive, a few invitations to hunt with fellow enthusiasts and grateful as I am, it's not the same without your own jukel by your side. At the end of last season, my wee cur badly damaged her foot in a collision with some concrete rubble, she tore the tendons on her front foot and could not walk, let alone run. It was a bad injury as much as, everything else on her was working,..just not her foot,..a bit like having a high-performance car, with a blown wheel,..no fecking good... My first port of call, s

  2. i've been lucky enough to chat about breeding with some of what i class as greats worker breeders of the type i like , but as Dillydog has said we only have the one life time, i've had my own terriers 42 years the blacks for 34 and all I've learnt is we are only maintaining the old blood lines, i sat in a pub once after a terrier show, no one knew me , and these young lads were talking loud enough for the whole pub to hear but anyway they were justly proud of their little dogs , but they were saying things like he's the best out of the line best they had ever seen , and how this/that generati

  3. I've stuck to a line my whole adult life, I've done well enough. I've spoke to a few top spaniel trainers and some follow lines, but the bulk chase the dog or family that's winning at the time. Who's got it right ? I've just used an outcross myself, he's got a few terriers of the same line in at the back of his 5 generation pedigree. I've had my eye on the dog since he was a young entry, he's my type of dog, small and strong. I left it until he was a well proven dog in the ground and a well proven producer before I used him. Would I use a young dog or bitch with jus

  6. Nothing wrong with breeding a bitch young aslong as she has shown what she is made off and you know the blood behind her.I have a bitch here I bred just gone 2 year old reason for doing so was we had no other bitch and after seeing her work her 1st season we were more than happy with her also her work style was hard so we were also wary of the fact she could be lost to ground at anytime so she was bred.she was put back to her own blood and produced 5 pups all of which worked with 3 still going strong and 2 lost to ground. I repeated the mating 3years later and out of 6 born only one bitch surv

I seen a video of it aswell and some cops go in to see him and they seem to be taking it in good humour http://nationalpost.com/news/toronto/toronto-chef-butchers-eats-deer-leg-in-front-of-animal-rights-protesters-outside-his-restaurant

  8. This is the last time I will respond to one of your reply,s as it's very frustrating going over and over the same shite that's been written already, Danny nineham is a joke a liar and really bad news for people that are serious about the subject, he charges money for his talks and is basically a fraud, Danny nineham managed to con his way into a police helicopter back in the 80,s when the boy from trelleck had his face scratched in a big cat attack, amazingly the boy was nineham,s nephew and the police soon Sussed him and distanced themselves, he has never had dealings with the sas but as a se

  9. Theres no hard and fast rules when it comes to line breeding. You work with the cards you're dealt. In an ideal world rules like "only 5 seasoned stud dogs of hard graft" are all well and good but older terriers may need replacing/kennels filling, a young bitch may need to be bred or a younger stud with a mixture of both performance and blood (breeding) may be more suitable. A proven well tested line is hard to come by and easy to lose! I agree 100% with FM and fair play for being open and honest. Needs must!, and if it's well thought out and seems the best way to go with no money involved, wh

  12. The guy at that sanctuary told me most wildcat sightings are hybrids. Hence the wide range of catching and neutering the feral/ hybrids they catch regularly. He said pure scottish wildcats are out there but very rarely seen if you don't know what you looking for or areas they frequent. The ones in sanctuary are pure as is their offspring captive bred with very little or no human contact. Release them from time to time but until they think they have managed to successfully neuter all they trap they will continue with the sanctuary. They do a great job these guys and nice to see ther

  14. I can't "like" it Bosun so once again I'll just have to tell you ? I've seen close breeding bring down the size of bitches and conversely take the size of dogs up. I tried talking about it on here once and someone kindly put up a link to a paper on genetics, I no longer have it or I'd put it back up. If you cut out all the waffle and took it to the layman's talk it basically said breed out of your strongest bitches. A bitch always wants to be feminine, so by constantly breeding tight (without picking your strongest bitches) you'll double up on the feminine influence. The same stand

I would imaging things would be very different if the shoe was on the other foot and there were a crowd of meat eaters outside a vegan restaraunt screaming at them to eat meat, typical liberal wankers, that's a mans livelyhood being attacked and a few weeks of no trade could end everything he,s worked for, they are a tiny percent of the population and should go and f**k off

  19. Makes me laugh them pissing and whining about the Leave campaign illegal funding and CA-esqu manipulation of the electorate. Just sweep straight over the government blowing £8M on their own propaganda campaign backing the Remain! That was f***ing outrageous! I actually want another referendum. Let's have one tomorrow, it's a Thursday, no risk of illegal funding or a propaganda machine interfering..... never get tired of the shear look of bewilderment on the tyrannical c**ts faces when they can't understand why WE voted the 'wrong' way.

  38. While there's a certain amount of "luck" in breeding a litter of terriers, you should know what mating is the best option if you have your own line/family for a lot of years, one of the biggest problems is that most look at what they have in their yard through "rose tinted glasses" and aren't honest with themselves, you don't just need to look at the sire and dam but their litter mates/grandparent's etc,,, You can weigh the odds of getting consistant worker's in your favour if your careful, aswell as a good dose of luck, not all will make the grade but it should help,, One thing's f
