Fcukin scary mate, my grandson just passed his test last week, picked up a nice wee motor, £2700 insurance wae a black box fitted. His cover started at midnight last night, I was nervous afore seeing this but I can only hope and pray he's as sensible and level headed as he portrays himself to be, especially with his mates in the motor. Heart goes out to the families.6 points

I think that would feel amazing and frightening at the same time. Years ago I was sitting sitting sidewards on my kayak , with my feet dangling in the sea , while I was fishing in cardigan bay . A grey fin passed by me and I almost shit myself . It was just the local dolphins , but in that split second , the whole jaws film flashed through my brain .6 points

I remember when the big money was on buying and matching trotters. I knew of a few coursing dogs went for up to £10k, but they must of tarmaced a lot of drives to pay £50k for a dog. Cheers.5 points

@Greyman has to walk this distance every day to empty his bin . With your support For as little as a £1 a month we could help greyman by floating his barge closer to the bin so he doesn't have to walk as far in the terrible conditions he endures . Please please help .4 points

We were sharking off Plymouth quite a few years back, the sea was alive, dolphins, porpoise, huge shocks of tuna all breaking surface and smashing the mackerel shoals...then the gannets, gulls etc huge flocks above and hitting the water...I've never seen it like it and I've been going out for 35 plus years on various boats, kayaks etc... it was seriously like a Attenborough doc in real life! Lol We've got a boat in Exmouth harbour now and over the last couple of years have really noticed the increase in tuna and dolphin numbers, you'll see dolphins pretty much everything your out and regu4 points

Old boy and his filming were featured on Winterwatch this week. Amazing stuff. Says he sometimes paddles as much as ten miles out to sea. You only need to make one mistake out there and you’d be crab food.4 points

Like you say some exercise is great but alot are lifting heavyweight stress on the heart. My grandfathers 89 an bouncing. Does his exercises every morning. Sit ups , few press ups. Stands at kitchen side leaping up like a kangaroo. Funny to watch. His saying a man's body is like a motor. You may look okay on the outside but if the engine is no good then the car is worth nothing. Same with the body with these weight lifters lol3 points

Best footage I have seen of UK Tuna, incredible. Around 15 or so years back I had a boat with a mate in the med,we leased a villa and used to go offshore 20+ miles.Seen whales, sunfish, and a few other bits and bobs, couple of occasions we had big shoals of Tuna, never exploding out of the water but showing all round the boat, fantastic to see.3 points

Amazing fish those tuna, they are pure powerhouses, magnificent creatures. I think we might go to Cornwall this year instead of going abroad. It would be great to see tuna, dolphins & sharks.3 points

I know that feeling mate, you don't half feel small in a kayak a mile or so off the shore when dolphins or porpoise are around you, it's an amazing sight but makes you respect the pecking order! Lol Seen a lot of tuna down here now, and loads of dolphins over the last few years, this is the best footage I've seen though, the "accidental" catches will be on the increase no doubt lol3 points

Imho I always took socks for granted and just used to buy cheap work socks off the market to work in and my feet suffered more than they do now as some of them cheap socks with man made fibres you may aswell have socks made out of sandpaper. I now have numerous pairs of bridgedale socks and my feet feel 100pct better especially on a long walk.3 points

I can remember my dad having a bolt action .22 rifle. I don't think you even needed a firearms licence back in the 50s. He used to take off on a weekend on a motor bike, and come back Sunday day with all sorts: moorhens, coots,( quite tasty) hare, rabbit and anything else he could come across, like farmers hens and ducks. Once he came back with a sheep lol. He would sell some and we would eat some. He was a skilled snarer of rabbits and hares and general survivor. I remember one Christmas we were flat broke. Christmas Eve, I was 5., I heard a commotion and got up hoping I would spy Santa. It3 points

One of my odd lil hobbies is cruising though pawn shops. Usually don't buy a ton really it's just you always seem to find some interesting stuff in these places. Neat old tool, good guns, bows ,old fishing gear , electronics ect.. Anyhow was waiting for my wife to get off work so she could pick me up from dropping of my work rental so popped in in my regular one just look around and annoy everyone. After a bout three hours this are the lil odds and ends I thought where neat. First off ,a bolt action 16ga internal mag shotty. Made by J C Higgins and they only wanted $200 for it2 points

Yep , I've seen them plenty of times from half a mile away , but when that big grey shape comes hurtling towards you under the water , and you can hear that fin cutting through the surface , it's enough to make you shit your pants . I would imagine hooking a tuna from a kayak would be a bit interesting . A big mackerel was enough for me .2 points

I'm sure we have adapted to a degree...but 10.000 years is quite a short time span...10.000 year equates to your grandparents x 400....when you think about it that's not that many people before you..also when we started farming back then I would imagine it was just a few things...and more than likely the domestication of things like goats pigs were were high on there things to grow...and I do know the early grains that were grown were far different to the modern ones2 points

Surprising how cheap merino wool socks are on E Bay. I wore a merino wool base layer on a long walk yesterday (12 miles) . Baselayer was dry but my t shirt above it was soaked. Must be fantastic at wicking away moisture.2 points
