  2. You understand the importance of the big estates in the U.K. when you come to a place like I live. In the U.K. a small farm is about 600 acres, on that they may have a small shoot or border a bigger managed estate. In my part of ireland they got rid of most of the great houses after independence, burnt them down or left them to ruin. Estates were partitioned up into small “family” farms, a big farm here is 60-100 acres and that may be spread out over miles with lots of other peoples fields all interwoven chess board style in between. No shoots or managed estates because it

  10. I find it a little bit hard to have sympathy with the farmers. Plenty seem to be doing alright around here. However, this will not be good for the countryside. It’ll end up transitioning farming into the hands of big agricultural organisations. So this isn’t about the farmers for me, it’s about the British countryside and maintaining some semblance of my culture.

  14. Just think about this……53,000 Conservative party members, most of who I am guessing are a certain age and white, voted for her. I know it wasn’t much of a contest with the choice being an African or a total f***ing drip but even so….. And millions of white British people will vote for her come election time……..and we wonder why the country is a 3rd world shit hole ? Insanity !

  17. Last few photos of Krakow. It really is a stunning city and I'd recommend for a weekend away. Lots of new little bars, mixed with old character places. Would be good with the Mrs or the lads. Visited the old Jewish quarter. The 'new' Jewish cemetery is worth a visit, but then I always visit old cemeterys everywhere I visit. Started in 1800. Trashed by the Germans. The walls are now built out old pieces of old graves. Striking to see old graves wearing away, covered in ivy, the names lost and worn off. Even the nice ones, obviously placed by rich families for well known people... ev

Our damned flock of sheep got in while we were away and ring barked nearly every tree the trees are looking a very sorry state, I think I will lose most of them, never mind, only 12 years down the drain.

  41. I know the Russians like to use them as attack dogs and roll them into mastiffs etc, and that they're riddled with hip and elbow dysplasia and tear their ACLs like they were made of paper. That's about as far as my expertise goes, I like athletic, capable, working dogs not shit that's been bred by fat american ladies to parade round the show ring. Using an AmStaff to breed lurchers would be like using a show bred Wheaton. Utterly pointless when the real deal working strain of the breed is still around, afterall that's all an AmStaff is, the show strain of the APBT with a name change to dis
