I think Inheritance Tax is one of the most egregious taxes there is. If someone works and pays Income Tax, invests wisely and pays tax on their dividends, pays tax on the interest their money in the bank earns, pays capital gains tax on a second property they bought and improved and sold on at a profit, why should they pay tax on what they leave to their children when that money, assets, etc has been taxed many times over already ? Cheers.12 points

Been without a bike for 22 years but the itch came back so I got looking. Ended up with this little beauty, 18 months old, 18 months warranty and way under half new price. Done a few hundred miles on it now and loving it. A right grandads bike that gives miles of smiles per gallon.7 points

A good few years ago I got took to court over one the daft acts, Clive Reese told me to take it to crown court on out very first meeting, he sat me down an told me that magistrates would and have already found me guilty, this was weeks before we actually went to court, sure as shit stinks when we got to court we had a mini trial haha an was found guilty but I said I wanted to appeal it, lad who was my co-de shat himself an took the guilty on the chin an signed his dogs over to that dodgy charity, anyways fast forward a few months an we go to crown, an just like the man promised me, it was thro5 points

My first boxing coach and all round local legend passed a week ago. He was a proper character and well liked by all who knew him. Kept plenty of us estate urchins out of trouble, well, for awhile at least. Anyway, local rag has done a good write up for those who like reading about such characters...R.I.P. George, I'll be there at your send off in a few weeks... Yokel http://www.suffolknews.co.uk/bury-st-edmunds/news/boxing-was-his-life-tributes-to-well-known-former-champio-9388992/5 points

Let’s not forget, all coursing events, wether it was The Waterloo Cup for greyhounds or the Forley Cup for Lurchers, were run on farmland and supported by farmers and landowners. Most fox hunts were on farmland aswell. The Countryside March against the Hunting Act was well supported by land owners, farmers and farm workers, probably more of them than hare coursers, although I may be wrong. Land owners and farmers are against poachers and trespassers but most certainly aren’t against field sports. Just my take on it. Cheers.4 points

They aren’t “chipping away “ at them mate; they are going to destroy family owned farms. Up to now, farms and agricultural land had zero rated Inheritance Tax, meaning a farmer could pass on his farm to his children when he died. Now Labour has put 20% Inheritance Tax on farms and agricultural land. Family farmers are normally asset rich, ( land, buildings, equipment, stock, etc), but cash poor. Now if a farmer dies his family won’t have the cash to pay the “death duties” and will have to sell up to pay the tax. Big business will buy up the land, leave it fallow or put trees4 points

The problem with putting it in a trust is you can’t then borrow against the asset. It’s just a money grab plain and simple.3 points

I can't get to the bottom of how people got so long in prison (well I can but proving it is a different matter) . 6 months is maximum sentence in magistrates court yet they were getting years. Sometimes a district judge sits in a mags court but they still have the same sentencing powers. I can only think that people were conned into saying guilty being told they would get a discharge, then finding themselves Infront of a crown court judge. I've asked magistrates, legal advisors and solicitor but not one can explain what's happened and all said with the information they had these peo3 points

Magistrates is a kangaroo court controlled by the authority’s and they get the outcome they want regardless of legalities obviously this won’t be an official line but from experience it’s how I see it works in reality, each and every one of those arrested should have taken there legal right of trial by judge and jury but they were told plead guilty or face 10 years and most buckled the ones like the one I put up will walk but it will get no or little coverage as it sets the wrong example,2 points

I watched the whole Trump podcast today, and I brought home just what deep shit Britain is in……I don’t think it can be put into too stronger terms what is happening in front of our eyes. We have been cutting chunks out of ourselves with a Stanley knife for years, but at that last election we literally put a shotgun in our mouth and pulled the trigger……we have elected absolute extremists. It couldn’t be any worse if a foreign nation was marching troops on to the beaches and subjugating the populace…..it is, imho, as bad as that. Everyone shouted about the tax rise this week……nobo2 points

Here’s one for the conspiracy theorists; Labour are going to make it impossible for small, family farms to be owned by working class people. They also passed a little noticed law in the budget reducing the discount on buying your council house, making it even more difficult for a working man to own his own house. Never mind, Labour MP Emily Thornberry , real name Lady Nuger, bought a council house with full discount then sold it at a huge profit. Angela Rayner, Labour MP and Deputy Prime Minister, and her husband bought TWO council houses and sold them at a profit. Bu2 points
