thursday (when i was a young kid) i never strayed far from home...i would take my air rifle (webley Mk 3 .22)...or my rod.....i would have a good early brekky...and mum would pack me off at 7 with 3 sausages (raw) and an egg and baco foil.....at lunch i would drink from the spring and make a camp fire cook the bangers on a stick and the egg in the baco foil.... i would get home and have ham egg an chips and beanze....

No, I don’t call the mods in general. I wasn’t happy that Nicepix seemed to be bullying two members and when they gave him some back, he suspended them. He wanted to hunt with hounds and run with the fox ! The clue is in the name”moderator” . I have never said a word against the likes of Walshie or Bosun . I’ve been a moderate on other sites and found that to do the job correctly you can’t have forcefull opinions or take sides, and certainly not abuse the powers being a mod gives you, which, in my mind, Nicepix did. so, I’ll decline your offer of a mods job, and continu

I use a haibike treking sduro 7 mate..good bit a kit, used daily for exercising the dog..dont listen to some on here about (fat cxnts only use em).ya can switch em of ya know.also have a komoda chinky one.but prefer the haibike..

Nicepix was a genuine chap and straight talking ,maybe too straight talking for some . He had a good knowledge of working dogs. He was after all a professional dog handler . He was/is also a fishing writer . I knew him on another forum and he was kind enough to go to the trouble of sending me a fishing reel from France as a gift when l showed an interest in it. He no longer post on that forum either; maybe he just got fed up with the internet. I know some won't agree but l miss his posts . I'd love to know if he ever did get a big catfish on a cane rod and centrepin reel!

Give up trying to do anything with the concrete, just went and covered it then it was off to feed the birds, fair bit of snow and absolutely freezing, hopefully this will bring the flying chickens back into the drives and on the feed

A Little place by me...the horse girls had been using Half poison/half layers pellets in those tubs,they were in and out all day long...had 30 odd with the 2 terriers and my lurcher bitch first morning lifting rubbish around the yard,then 2 of us shot 78 same night with air rifles...was doing 2/3 days/ nights a week there shooting them for 2 months before we made a difference and you didnt see them in the daytime...you want to f**k them off,then you cut off their food sources,sort your house keeping out,a scruffy yard with shit laying about attracts them...until you do that, poison is useless

Daughters wedding yesterday so a bit hanging this morning, out for a nice walk with the dogs on the Cotswolds gathered a bit of firewood and just made myself a nice beg roll, fresh crusty bread from local bakery bit of pig from local slaughterhouse and a double Yoker from the cleaner at work ready for a quiet afternoon sat by the fire

That’s what this site should be about mate well done
