First time in 52 years I have not had a dog around me sat here twiddling my thumbs after been up since 5 am. I need another dog if only for my mental health. It's an emptiness I can't describe when you're daily routine suddenly stops with a walk out with the dog everyday.

St has quality dogs would be my first choice for collie greyhounds my we acd x has that blood in it as well

I can't see why so many of you are so negative about them. They're amazing creatures. We get a few black adders near me too. On one occasion, when my son and I were out looking for them, we found an adder and a grass-snake under the same piece of corrugated iron and we've seen them with slow-worms too. A few years ago I saw a baby one (not sure what you call baby adders: adderlets? adderlings?). It was so small I took a photo of it with my foot alongside to prove how small it was. Beautiful creatures. Always brightens my day seeing one.

If terriers are your thing,then a dog bred that way could save you time checking places,help catch any bolters,give you some sport lamping ,when the terriers are knocked up and keep you in meat?

Slipping a dog on these lads didn't always go the dogs way ,broken toes or legs were always a possibility,I preferred to stalk and shoot them but the haul back was hoffific at times due to the terrain

Look nothing like eachother

For the first time in my adult life the only dog I own is a house dog, a 13 year old bulldog bitch that has more than earned her comfortable retirement. I can't see me owning a yard full again but I'm sure once she passes I'll get the itch to bring another pup on, a house doesn't feel like a home without a dog about the place IMO.

100% of the illegals crossing the channel are coming from a safe country……France. And a large proportion of them are nationals entering France from “safe” countries, for example Albania and Pakistan. They are not refugees, they are economic migrants coming from safe countries in the expectation of being better looked after here than in France or their own countries. Before Blair was elected I had many (heated) discussions with colleagues in a very pro Labour workforce. My argument then was that once in power Labour would have to put tax through the roof to fulfil their promises and loose the next election or break those promises and take their chances.
