Yeah I've been picking up coins and bullion for a while. Started with the metal detecting then I started buying a few different bits. I buy war medals as well. You can still buy unresearched medals cheaply.....do the research, add all the information to the medals, add any photos you can find of the soldier, his house, his grave, his regiment.....then sell em in the area he was from and you can double your money. Same with Roman coins, you can buy em really cheaply, then research them and make up some nice coin capsules with the emperor and dates on and a £5 coin becomes £15 easily

Not defending them in any way but i wish the police would be that keen on sorting out the car thieves and house burglaries that's shot up in areas around me rather than put all the time and energy into catching dog lad's to the detriment of more serious crimes that's happening.

I'd say that's a pretty fair description to be honest mate... so many idiots have a dog now for the status and not because it is the right dog for them... why have a highly driven potentially dangerous dog about if you've no idea how to handle it or what it needs....

Yesterday I watched the sun rise over the same stretch of water that Davey Crocket hunted and trapped.Made me think of how hard it must have been to survive. Today we had storms so I walked some small creeks as predators feed during storms in small creeks.

Seems to be quite a good year for the old cuckoo, after several years of none or very odd one they seem to be here in some numbers this year woke up to the sound of one again this morning and saw 4 different ones on a walk recently all within two or three miles of me, anyone else have them around ?? Or am I just special

Few more from this morning. My mate isn't a big drinker and 4 strong cans of cider pretty much wiped him out last night. He was feeling it this morning!! Lol.. I doubled up on the porridge for for breakfast. Tipped one pot into another and taped it up for a more realistic sized portion. Enjoyed it.

not everyone has them because they are a status dog i dont take my dogs anywhere there are people i walk them at night my dogs only mix with a small number of people i dont put them in peoples faces i keep them because i like them you have every right to choose your breed of choice and so do i i have them as a detterent to robbing b*****ds and have never been robbed if they are legal then it should come to your own choice

I just put it up in the general section,...I'll remove it shortly ,..this might not sit well with many but I can't see the point in this kind of behaviour,...it was never part of lurcher work in the past but on FB in the past fellas publicly announcing their "PIG" adventures....I know them stripeys are more abundant than rabbits in some areas but to me it's senseless letting a dog hack them about,and get put out of action for a week or more,....it's not something I would ever participate in myself TBH

Just read a few comments and someone is claiming they had attacked several people and dogs and the owner was off his box, recon it’s best to find out the facts before pointing fingers but sadly the dogs only crime as always was the wrong owner

Think your post would shock an American or a French person. They have a strong sense of having basic human rights.. You can't have people breaking into vulnerable people's homes. People fall on hard times. That doesn't give the fat cat energy companies the right to break down your door.

I agree that everyone has the right to have the dog they want, you obviously know how to handle your dogs and go out of your way to ensure they do not get you or themselves into trouble.. ie. Walking them at night, socialising them with certain people but avoiding others etc etc.. my point is the list of incidents with these types of dogs is on the up, its not the dogs fault its the twat on the end of then lead.. unfortunately it brings unwanted attention onto the breed and owners like yourself may eventually suffer... I like bull breeds been around a few, but never owned a pure myself, mates

I agree you should be allowed to own a protection breed but you need to have an apprenticeship with dogs before owning one. The dogs were doing their jobs, the cops were pathetic.

Really enjoyed it last night. Was hard work with the big pack on. Never weighed it but it was heavy with all the gear, food and at least 4 ltrs of ltrs of water and cider. It's straight uphill almost from the too.. a really long steep climb to get the ticker going. Me and the wife took a trip along the A69 last week.( No puns please.) We stopped at Haltwhistle for a meal. We passed an army of kids with a ragged army of lurchers, terriers and mongrels .
