Sad to see IMO it's not just festivals now it's beauty spots on the Moors the Lake District the Beaches. Even just mooching on the coast yesterday dog shit in bags every so often hanging on a gorse twig or thrown underneath a bush. Plastic bottles down rabbit holes or red bull/cider cans stuffed in a dry stone wall. All degrading back acting like cattle threading in their own bedding and walking in their own fodder, people turning into animals. No respect for the country side and what we have it's just them and the world revolves around them and some body else can clear their shit up like we d11 points

Only in the winter of the miners strike when me and the wife and a two year old only got 20 pound a week to live on every rabbit hare pheasant partridge counted not so much to eat but to sell i also took risks poaching that i would have never done if it was not for being on strike i was also very fortunate in having two good pot filling lurchers at the time a mix of beddy/grey/collie/grey.9 points

I can remember a mate giving a home to a left sleeping bag (£200 worth apparently). When he got home, he hung it on the line to air it, It was then that he found out someone had shat in it ?8 points

I don’t know why people make the connection that you have to be rude to be honest and have honest conversations. During the BLM saga I somehow managed to get into an exchange of messages and emails with a well know black university lecturer from round my old way. He is is also a former Labour and Independent political candidate. I spoke completely frankly to him about exactly how I feel, over the course of days and then a couple of weeks….he did likewise and to be fair most of it was the standard rhetoric. I said absolutely everything I regularly bore people here with and I8 points

I well remember working on a trout farm back in 1985. Farm went bankrupt mid November, we was out of work being owed a month's wages, Christmas coming up, no jobs about and a wife and 1 Yr old to care for. No help from dole / social. Was out nearly everyday ferreting, watching for the birds going to roost late afternoon so I could come back that night with the pellet gun or Ludger. Lamping every 1/2 decent night or ferreting in dodgy places at night with a full moon. Had a fantastic little dog then , and for 3 months we lived off what that dog caught and what else we could get. 1. Rumour has it that the floods in Pakistan were started by a suicide plumber. 2. There's a new curry been brought out in aid of the Pakistani flood disaster victims. It's a chicken bury auntie, served with nan dead and poppa gone. 3. The BNP have donated 6000 crocodiles to the Pakistani flood appeal. 4. The Queen has sent a letter of condolence to the Pakistani president. She wanted to mention that Britain has plenty of spare pakis if they want some back. 5. I bet little Mohammed isn't having to walk 3 miles fetch water now! I think I'll ask for my 1 a month donation back7 points

Good post mooch??I can’t say I’ve been though times as hard as some of you lads have but I’ve had times were being in low payed jobs when younger or no work meant there was no budget left for food or food in any quantity was available so nocking a few bits over was always welcome but I’ve always prided my self on being a adaptable person in any situation so times were never as hard as probably what they actually were for me. I personally think having a few tough times sets you up in life being more prepared for what could be round the corner I like the whole idea of home steading an practice i7 points

For the record..I grew up having half caste family, aunties and cousins,my Nan's sister married a Jamaican in 1962,that side of the family come from a place called Pill...as multicultural as you can get...my grandfather on my dad's side was south African (Dutch heritage) and was racist as f**k,from what my dad told us, wouldn't entertain any of em? I didn't know what a racist was until I went to Borstal at 15...the RVS boys ran the place( had to pick your side)....will never forget the day they put 2 black lads ,shipped up from Feltnam(spelling) for being to big for their boots...on a wing wi6 points

we always offer the children's suncream, inflatable toys / any spare firewood etc to any new arrivals with young kids when we go away abroad or even over here in the motorhome...watched my parents do the very same growing up...that's just what decent sorts do ?5 points

I honestly believe a lot of it's down to not educating our younger generation we were taught rigorously in infant and junior school to put your rubbish in a bin also the keep Britain tidy adverts on the TV . A litter picking group has set up around me with volunteers out every week trying to keep topside of the litter some playing fields near me after the Sunday football games the field is strewn with plastic bottle's and energy drink cans pity it don't give them the energy to put the fekers in the bin.5 points

Out again last night SL 3 foxes 0 . A while back I drove into a field that is near some “unfriendly “ houses and there is also a paddock with a couple of very flighty horses that start galloping around as soon as I drive in . One night I counted 5 foxes in that field . I thought “ you know what , I’m going to leave them , it will spook the horses too much and bring unwanted problems my way “. Fortune favours the patient, and I’ve been chipping away at their numbers in an adjacent field which is well away from horses and houses . I can shoot away with no problems . And so it was that last night5 points

Yes mate , i well remember how he was bred, he was 22 1\2 tts a blue dog, his mum was called Rose a first x collie greyhound, fantastic bitch on the lamp, i knew her 5 year before my mate bred off her and gave me the pick of the litter, his dad belonged to a gamekeeper from Farrington Gurney and was a greyhound \ saluki x whippet\bedlington, i always prefer the smaller type lurcher for what i do, lost a great little dog (12 yr old) just before last xmas 3\4 whippet 1\4 collie, proper little pot filler and great on birds as well . now days for a bit of lamping or ferreting plus a lot of5 points

Well, I’m all set for the birds arrival, ?pellet in the feeders and drinkers tested ( for about the 6th time ) I’m feeling a little more hopeful even though we are only getting a few more than half and they are really late, quite a few have found my feeders and water butts in the centre of the piggeries, now they are there, they will stay, just after combine they were hanging around the edge of the tree side and been young and confused they could of gone anywhere, luckily the only water over there for the past couple of months is what I put there so that’s what has kept them and attracted othe4 points

Popped over the moors to one of my rabbitting permissions yesterday that I havent been to this year to assess the rabbit population. After a cuppa with the old boy I set off for a wander in search of my quarry. Not the numbers there usually is but still saw a few. After it getting dark another cuppa was in order with his 2 farmer mates and I then set off with the lamp. By now the wind had dropped off and it was desperately still so never saw a great deal but still an enjoyable trip ?3 points

Mate, I didn’t need to check out his rhetoric because for starters if someone welcomes you into their home and is a nice bloke you wouldnt go all FBI on them, you either like someone or you don’t and I did…..secondly I wouldn’t know and would have no interest in this stuff anyway. I had a little dog I liked, I knew it’s sire and that’s good enough for me. If a man has shown me hospitality and friendliness I wouldn’t do him down anyway, I ain’t a f***ing snake. Other people may be right into all that lines and pedigrees and whatever else, I ain’t, I wouldn’t have clue….not my b3 points

Throwaway society, from the woke generation of hypocrites. The same generation that point the finger at everyone else that we’re ruining the planet etc The age group attending that are the same blaming the older generation for climate change etc but all that said, most of that is left because of guess 99% of folk know there will be a major clean up after the even so isn’t the same as your kfc out the window cuntbag. Still a disgusting sight though.3 points

Anything like my mates bullx they would be keeping everyone locals belly full with what ever they wanted. If I was in the predicament of having to get a dog to rely on as a all out dog for providing for the table I’d take my chances with a Sal bull greyhound3 points

i was looking for a genuine deerx grey last year, when i lost one of mine to bloat, was in touch with a lad in northumberland, same bloke that bred chartpolski bitch, unfortuanetly due to certain circumstances failed to get a pup from him, maybe worth giving gin on here a shout, very helpful lad, ended up getting a nice 11th gen bred pup from dave, great condition and healthy, always found dave, adecent bloke, speak of folk as i find them, dont know if alan charles, from soutern ireland still breeds deerxgreys, heard good reports, but never seen any of his stuff in the flesh, sadly a breed now3 points

Exactly mate I remember being at Glastonbury years back and gangs of scousers going round rubbing people. On a couple of occasions Ive been at parties /festivals and had to step in and stop some dirty c**t from taking libities with a young girl who'd over indulged and wernt with it enough to know what was going on let alone say no(both times white fellas. And both times Ive had a knife pulled on me once to try and Rob me it was white fellas They'll always be c**ts wherever you go.3 points

I do remember my cousin being on strike in 1984, he said if they weren't on the picket line, they were in the field, at the allotment, or on the river bank. He said some people ate rabbit so often they haven't eaten it since the end of the strike. Cheers. Aled3 points

remember many a time, when i was growing up in very poor conditions, in real poverty,we always relied on our lurchers and ferrets to feed usand close family, always told never to come off the land emty handed, whether it was rabbits, hares, game birds, timber , black berries, or field mushrooms, it was taken and used , just to survive, all our cooking was done on a fire, and water from a well, always remember christmas, when we used to get a few rabbits for dinner, lurchers would snaffle a farmers goose or chicken, and we come off the land with spuds and all the veg that grew in the fields r3 points

Great weekend as always, good craic, good food and drink (maybe too much lol) and raised a few quid again. Thanks Bry for sorting curry on Friday night, helped loads. Loads of good prizes donated which is greatly appreciated. Top job from Sean on auction and obviously his assistant Olly on top form.. The fishing was strange, but Bryan done well to catch a few and win for the 3rd time.. Good to see a new face, Dido and his lad Harry, joined in the banter and was a welcome addition to the regular faces... Really enjoyed Saturday with the kids, gave them a couple of3 points

I have one little one come under the ferret hutch every night even in the winter. One one in the winter was tiny never thought he would make it through but he did and he's there early about 5pm to beat all the others. Two there last night side by side to a vid but no still. I have holes cut at the Botton of my fence and gate I do encourage them with a bowl of ferret food. Had five in the garden in one night before now been coming for years. Cheers Arry2 points
