I had left over Chicken from yesterdays roast so thought I would try something different. Layers of sliced potato in the bottom then layer diced onion some bits of butter dotted around. Then broken up chicken few peas then few bit diced carrot some sliced mushrooms salt and pepper. A can of condensed chicken soup with the same amount milk mixed up and poured on top. In the oven at 190c for an hour then crumbled some left over stuffing over the top back in the oven for 10 more minutes. It was bloody lovey and dead easy. Cheers Arry10 points

A JR I had as a young fella. His qualities were endless Would track a rabbit like a hound and he would spend as long as it took working the scent out and would not quit. Once he hit a line it pretty much game over if I did my bit once it went to ground. If a rabbit bolted and slipped the nets he would follow it to ground then turn round and come back and help out until it was clear then take me where he had marked. If a rabbit bolted through sheep he would run wide so as to go around the sheep rather the storm through them if he could. 110% with sheep I could literally bet an arm on7 points

Either of these two. Scout (the black and tan bitch) had a superior nose and was much quicker off the mark, but Rust (the red and tan male) had the knack of being in the right place at the right time.6 points

The way things are now,not a good idea to parade around these shows with any dogs showing signs of work imo...most just cater for the rossete chasers with a van full of dogs and one for every class?5 points

Grantham: Margaret Thatcher statue lowered into place WWW.BBC.CO.UK The statue is targeted shortly after being installed in Baroness Thatcher's home town of Grantham. Think it's already been egged even though i detested the woman think all this defiling of statues is a bit silly to be honest.4 points

Red hot today,so I went to a close lake to look for snapper turtles, on the way there I saw a sheet of ply, my first thought was "Snakes" so I lifted it gently (I also replaced it extra gently), I had flip-flops on, the mother at one point ran over my toes.4 points

I used to wait for a raining night and just walk around the quiet streets...lob worm everywhere coming out the pavement edging into the pavements , fill a bucket in no time4 points

I had a kelpie cross staff when I was in my twenties that was a great ferreting dog, pig bailer and feral cat killer. She even attacked a two legged pig and survived, lol.3 points

I stayed with some sea gypsies years ago, they fished, collected shells and pearls, and farmed seaweed, I used to rinse it in fresh water to wash off the excess salt, still tasted very salty but really nice to add to a fish dish when eaten raw ? Salad and nuts tonight, hippy shit ?3 points

Best I ever had was a full springer, old type, stocky, very strong, broad head and shoulders. Would burst cover after fur or feather, follow a line, run with hounds, mark fox holes, dig rats, would grab and pull at a dig....hard mouth on sharp toothed game but soft when retrieving feather.3 points

Best foxing dog I seen was a Bassett. Not a bushing dog really as was pure hound but would find foxes and stick to there line. Would hunt stale drags back to earth in the spring from lambing fields.3 points

Mrs told me about that half hour ago . The mind boggles with some people Ok you want a dog , but a 10 year old dog from germany that you have been told is not good with kids ? Decide to take it to a park on a harness ? No muzzle just incase? Let it get close to a kid while your walking it ? The sinic in me thinks the reason he took it on was because it was a ex protection dog and that sounds cool for £150 . Adding the fact its from germany adds a layer of mystery to it aswell. Its all to late now tho the poor kids been bit up and its grandparents will ha3 points
