  1. I know many of you on here will have seen my sidekick Ruby the Pomeranian alongside my running dog's on many of my post's over the year's,sadly I had to have her put to sleep back on August 17th of this year at 15 year's of age, even 2 weeks before she died we were up hiking in the Highlands of Scotland in the Arrochar Alps..sadly the old girl went downhill quite rapidly & it was a very hard day for me when I took her to the vet's as she was my shadow, where I went, she went that's just how it was, they said she hadn't been in the vets since 2006 when she had her jabs for parvo/distemper so sh

My daughter who was 12 at the time wanted a puppy mate, she seen this in a local pet shop and we bought her it,£450 I paid for Ruby back then, most expensive dog I'd ever bought in my life!.You know what kid's are like after a few weeks the dog was forgotten about, initially my daughter was carrying Ruby about in little shoulder bags, had pink ribbons in her hair & the rest of it but after the novelty wore off I took the pooch out on all my daily walks with the lurchers,in her mind she was every bit as big as them..the 1st rabbit she ever caught was one with myxi that was sat in a coma under

From John O'Groats to the south coast, the offshore isles too we travelled & hunted it all,not always successful but we gave it our best shot..nowhere was ever too far, nowhere was to difficult for us to reach be it by foot,by car or by boat,we just went in pursuit of our quarry be it through hell or high water,no exceptions & no excuses from us ?

And she should know better too, it breaks me this kind of stuff, people don’t turn into a horrible b*****d over night….they were that when she decided to bring a kid into the world with him.

Duchess old fella Boots is still plodding away having just seen his 9th birthday at the beginning of this month, this will almost certainly be his last 'full' season at work,I'll be hanging up his lead for good in a few month's time, the year's have passed by so quickly that's for sure..he wouldn't retire himself I know that much,he still loves what he does but I'd never want to see him being embarrassed when hunting due to old age & or reoccurring injuries..I'll make the decision as to when he has his final trip out in the near future..nice to hear Duchess has & continues to serve you o

  16. People were cheering Boris and Sunak when they had a photo op at a pub. Why ??? You need to drink 30 pints to save less than a quid ! And the breweries are already saying the savings won't be passed on to the customer, they'll be used to offset other rises like the rise in minimum wage. Ive never seen a budget in my lifetime that has made a normal working man better off, when all the rhetoric is disected, we are allways worse off. Cheers.

Have done a few myself mate, find it unbelievable that all my early years in the building game keeping the cavity’s clear was a real big deal, then some bright spark came up with the ideal of pumping your cavity full of old clothing that has been shredded, after a few years the insulation gets water logged and ends up dropping down giving you horrendous damp and mould around the bottom 3/4 foot of your house, the people that came up with it should be sued and made to remove it for free, houses need an open fire or some draftie old sach windows to keep the damp out we breath out a considerable

  18. Just when l was congratulating myself on having cleaned up today's jobs by lunchtime a call came in. There was a hornets' nest in a 14th century alms house in a churchyard and the Warden, who apparently normally dealt with his own nests, had baulked at this one . The approach up a narrow spiral staircase to the upper room where the nest was hanging didn't offer much scope for manoeuvre . l opted to use a hand puffer to apply the powder as even a short lance would've been a hinderance. Suited-up ,l approached the nest which despite the time of year was in decidedly ful

  22. sometimes you end up owning a dog that "Just Fits" had 2 in my lifetime, enjoyed every minute of my time with both of them, don't get me wrong some of the other dogs of the past were half decent dogs and probably better at their job but there was something with these two that just made them special. Chin up mate, everything comes to an end but on the plus side who knows what the future holds.

  28. Minimum wage is a scam mate imho, always has been. It forces more people into the tax system and above certain thresholds and ultimately the cost of increased wages is paid by the consumer in higher prices…..basically, it’s robbing as many people as possible and dressing it up like they are doing people a favour. You have to hand it to them, it’s brilliant really.

  30. Don’t take this like I’m trying to be rude or smart mate but and ? Boris is about to shovel £100 billion of your money over to China, India and Tim Buk Tu for “climate action” so why can’t they spend the money on some poor single mum in Croydon so she don’t have to choose between cold kids or hungry kids. Who cares if a few pick up an added benefit along the way long as it gets done for those of us who need it ? Its not like money matter anymore, that stopped mattering years ago mate ? As I say, not really a heartfelt cause to me, but better to spend money here on British p

  33. Had a brilliant day out with dad ferreting on some local ground as a local landowner wants some rabbit thinning outas hes planning on planting some trees around his fishing lakes. We decided to leave the dogs at home but will be taking them next time. Landowner bought us a takeaway pub lunch and beer which went down a treat. He also enjoyed getting involved with the ferreting as he also enjoys his fieldsports. We missed alot of rabbits but still caught 9 which the landowner took to his friends butcher shop. This should make a good video I hope. The fjall raven trousers have been a god send fer

I feel so sorry for Joshua if they had only left him alone to be himself instead of this " Role Model " for the black community he wouldnt have to keep chopping and changing his attitudes all the time....while he was champion it was all 4 syllable words and eloquently spoken positivity because thats what they wanted....now they want him to be " down and dirty " again he cant stop swearing and showing how " street " he is. 45. Policing and politics have changed dramatically in the last few years. I Well remember the miners strike, baton charges by the police, mounted police charges, people arrested and in court the next day. I was on the countryside march to parliament.....same again, heads busted, people arrested. Now we have people tearing down statues, damaging buildings and the police stand by and watch. People gluing themselves to the M25 and the police ask if they are comfortable and do they need anything, people arrested 13 times and never charged , released immediately to do the same agai
