With plenty of rain forecast for tonight I decided to go and have a Trip out on the lamp. unfortunately the rain didn’t come as expected or even at all, up on arrival of my first spot I gazed on the temperature gauge in the car and it read 15 degrees so with that I decided I needed to take things steady. I made my way through the first field which was very long grass, next field had been planted but nothing was yet to start growing but that’s where the bunnies were and so my night started. I picked a few off and made my way round my route, every time the dog would make a catch I stopped to

I don’t think anyone would say he was a legend but he was certainly a very hard fighter with a massive heart.....a real old pit dog of a fighter. Give me your Nigel Benn over a Tyson Fury any day of the week.

Popped out to two local farms tonight looking to sort out a couple of Charlies that have been pestering the owners and in my haste I forgot to attach the mod to the Hornet. I couldn’t be arsed to go back for it and arrived at the first spot not too hopeful. Long story short, boom! First one down at 75 yds after just a minute. A vixen with a lovely brush on her. Onto spot number 2. Once again, a very short visit. Flicked the lamp on, spotted the fox. Gun mounted, scope torch on, a squeak to get his attention, boom! Dog fox down. Home for 9, job done ??

Why do you care anyway? We are still in exactly the same position. Nothing changes. He's banking on a general election. And he's looking more and more like winning a majority. Labour are lost....they called for an election and now are running scared, they voted down the deal and now cry we need a deal. They can't cost any spending plans because they don't know if they are in Europe or out. They will negotiate a deal (the withdrawal agreement is closed and unchangeable), so they will come back with the same deal as May and either vote for it and seem hypocritical or vote it down and betray all their leave voters

It is potentially massive. Not just to the skippers but for the areas. At a time when this tourism and fishing is slowing down the added money into accommodation and services, restaurants etc would be brilliant.

when your a kid there's no limits to the work you can throw at your dogs?was out every morning with my terriers and at night with the runners.....having a family and work commitments is a pain these days ?

Not bred as coursing dogs, but caught plenty of hares. I suppose when that’s the main quarry on the land, they learn how to hunt and kill them. Plus they get very fit whilst trying .

PCP or spring rifle the Primos sticks are a must for static or walking. The double yokel really holds your aim well and is a " massive" help toward extremely accurate shooting.

my best bitch on the rabbits was a bitch beddy,bull,grey 23 tts.....heart of a lion tbf.....wish I could find another....? worked her with the b.o.p,hounds,around a hole,terriers,long nets ,lamped and could bend the odd few out in the day...had her at 2 yr old when my mate went over the wall for a stretch.....the best thing I've ever been given for free, and I'm thankful for the memories and scraps we got into....gonna mis old 'Loll' when she finally goes ?

The 3 in the first picture (mum, dad and daughter) had a real knack and love for taking feather. I thought it was pretty normal as a kid and that all dogs did it, but I’ve never had any since and my old saluki cross has never caught a bird in his life, and he lived to 14 years old.

Ain't that the truth. Imo folks not realising that is the reason so many dogs are ruined and written off as useless. Many a ' jacker' is created through poor training and entering rather than breeding .....
