Had a call from a keeper who had a keeper pal who had a problem on a wild bird shoot, the problem was solved today, but as my season is now over and the old girl is well getting old this was almost certainly her last fox and a nice hassle free bolt for her to end her working days was just right .17 points

3rd seasoned dog, had a few belters with him, 8 hours in the ground start of the season and a 5 hour to end with plenty in between??13 points

We'll done to the old bitch its hard to retire them especially if they are still fit and good to go.the dog in my avatar was still working away at 15 and was dug regularly he eventually died in his sleep front of the fire curled up in his basket have to say we had a hell of a lot of sport with that dog.6 points

Lovely pups ? Best of luck with them all..I keep sheep so have full bred collies... I've not got the workload to use them just for sheep so I hunt with them as well, one dog can go beating for a day the rest aren't gunshy but don't like it much..just mooching either day or night is sort of my thing .... if they can catch it they'll kill it I don't think rabbits are difficult for them, we,re lambing at min so they're out 24/7 with me, they see a Charlie round the shed he's done .... I've had too many collies really and I've had ONE good one which is like gold to me, the rest all have had some5 points

I never had a job to quit but I,ve fallen out of love the plastering that I,ve done all my life and just felt like a change, so I,ve just signed on with an agency and am enjoying myself, I say where and when I want to work and they ask me if I fancy doing this or that, not great money if your trying to pay a mortgage and raise kids but a refreshingly stress free break from the norm if your just after some work and an opportunity to try different things if your looking for a change4 points

Just looking through some of last months posts and interesting that many had called an end to the season last month as rabbit numbers are low. I mainly ferret in mid Hampshire and rabbit numbers this year are up on last year and all bunnies are clean, no sign of myxomatosis or any other disease. Anyway, so I was out this Saturday, been asked to clear through some animal enclosures at a local zoo. It's a bit different when working in a crane enclosure or Wallaby and Alpaca paddocks. I had 9 out of the paddocks, then ventured on to a neighbouring field that had quite a bad rabbit problem in3 points

Went out yesterday afternoon to do some target shooting. I was trying to get a .562" shoot good enough from my unsighted .63" bored trade gun flinchlock! Why? Because I have loads of them I cast above a decade ago! Anyway that's still ongoing but loaded with shot we did eventually get a bunny.3 points

Hi, I have a Norfolk Lurcher, I don't hunt with him because he lives up to his name: he's Norfolkin' good at catching anything except a few zeds on the sofa. He's a beautiful soul though, a great house dog. But you probably don't give a toss about that.3 points

On the plus side non league attendances are on the up....infact non league football is on the up in general a lot of people have just had enough of the Hollywood glamour type of game at the highest level and want a return to normality i pay £13 to watch my local side and get the best seat in the house if i get their first, they are getting 1200+ through the turnstyles compared to 4/500 10 years ago...its a good standard of football with plenty of investment, very competitive and fans of our generation get the football experience back that we fell in love with years ago.....i,ll always be a West3 points

you could spend days weeks or 5 mins waiting for the trophy bear. luck of the draw. you stick the bait out with a cam.bait and wait, check the cam to see whats coming in. everything can be fine and dandy with the trophy bear coming in,you go down there and the bugger has done one exactly the same circumstances hunting whitetail deer. but sometimes you can get a nice surprise and something just turns up outta of the blue. i have baited wild boars, had them coming in everyday at 4pm for 4 days straight,i go down there, nowt to be seen lol3 points

Is that the meaningless petition with hundrety trillion signatures that can be signed unlimited times from the same email address? Is that the 'people's vote' march that the bbc and other main stream media have been making exaggerated claims of 1,000,000 attendees, when it was really more like 200,000? Whichever way it goes, one of the positives from brexit is that it has proven just how dishonest the government and establishment really are and how they have lost the trust of a significant proportion of the population. And it is funny to see the remain campaign shoot thems2 points

You wicked little bu€€@r. Shooting those poor little pheasant off of the limb. And depriving those guns of a shot. ANYWAY Kwis won't like it. I knew a lad that did this. He used to slip off over the road, just after dusk. He never left a cartridge or feather. He had a pickers up bird holder añd used to take about 20 birds a week the night before a big local commercial shoot that was keepered by his mate. The birds were added into the bag and they split the cut. A lot of the guns paid by cash. Floating around in their wallets as you would have. The bloke who put the birds down on this pr2 points

Joshua is fighting the highest ranked opponent available to him.....and why would he fight in America when the Uk is where the moneys been. Fury is the only fighter out there who for some bizarre reason doesnt have to fight contenders he either gets a road sweeper or gets a championship fight.....wheres the mid - upper level opponents and unifications that get you into position to fight for a title he,s never fought one.2 points

That is exactly what myself and my wife said , why wouldn’t you answer any question they threw at you ? If your child is missing you would answer any question the police had in the hope it might help .2 points
