  1. Spent the day evicting some bunny’s from there hedgerow lairs. It was the sort of day that would normally be in favour for them to bolt weather wise, yet it was not meant to be. We had our armoury of purse nets, a couple hounds and I got a chance to run the longnet out for a change. Dogs were marking well, and it was great to see my pals beddy whip has come on leaps and bounds since are last outing. We only managed to get a couple bolts into the nets and one into the open field were patch picked it up quickly, the spade accounting for the rest. As is his usual style, paddy the ferr

  2. Nobody does that as it would be illegal. Pest Foxes would need to be dealt with humanely. Moving live animals would leave Terriermen open to accusations of cruelty and baiting and can only be done under permit. It is sad that ANTIs don't realise the stupidity in what they wish for! As hunters now cannot move healthy pest animals safely to location they have to be dealt with. In the old days they could have been moved with little fuss or harm. The countryside needs to be managed and without hunting selectively removing the problem animals vermin species breed to epidemic proportions and t

  4. Another decent session on the feeder this morning. These 3 squirrels make 30 in about 2 months and bagged the pigeon just as I was packing up. Before the session I zeroed on the top right target so I knew the AA S510 & .177 H+N FTT combo were bang on. atb,, Dave.

  7. The difference with small places and shallow places is the dog in question knows the cavalry is on the way. One of the first things I was taught by the old boys around me is if you want a dog out sooner rather than later is to walk away and be quiet. The dog that stays and does the job through to the end when he can't sense you one way or the other is by far the better animal.

  8. One of my customers had asked when im over next time would i have look at the jackdaws as they are already starting fetching material for nesting in the chimney pots so i took the 99 with me and whilst working in the garden just happened to see them bringing things back for nest building so when id finished the job i hung about for half an hour and got presented with just the one shot but that was enough to stop his shenanigans as he rolled down the slates and onto the lawn. You can see on the pic ive fitted about 2/3 of the swift stumpy modular that jimmy sent me for the r10 by means of

  13. I had this just before dark a few days ago, it was over and hour before I even started as I was waiting for reinforcements lol. The dog sat and worked the quarry nice and steady but had no idea if I was still there, I've seen plenty over the years that would walk just to see if you were still there !

  14. I’m not sure if they know the depth, but time to ground IMO is a much better barometer to go off than depth when digging dogs. A dog goes to ground in a 1 holer and is dug at 6 ft in an hour, a different dog is dropped into a 20 holer, gets the run around for 2 hours and is then dug at 3ft. Which dog has put in the better performance?

I sure that wasn't because he was black...more likely cos he had millions in the bank and was very young man.....much like fury did....and how many of us would go the same way if given the chance....by feck I never had much money...but in my younger days I loved to party...hell I spent 5 years in Ibiza... all great sports men need good coaching and good infulences around them to stay at the top....there cant be many that go it alone

  20. Some great info on this post ?? I haven’t had a working dog in a while and was toying with the idea of a beddy / whippet / border / teckel and after a debate with the family we ventured out to SW last night and collected a dog pup up and he seems a grand wee chap .. hes from imported working stock on both sides .. he’ll be used mainly for just mooching hopefully but after reading a few posts my best bet will be carrying a spade with me ?

The only guidance he had for a long while was his wife mother in law and don king all of which screwed him over and messed with his head colour doesn't come in to it lem and I think gus damato dying had a massive impact on his life also I think some people are just destined to feck up mentally like Tyson did and with his money he had plenty of helpers

  23. I believe there are several apps that track it and offer the best times to see it. Not something I've ever set out to do but I'm kinda curious now! We have little to zero light pollution here and cloud cover isn't an issue. Watching the meteor showers is a decent way to sit out and have a beer in the evening because lets be honest, telly is shite.

  30. Yeah I get what you're saying mate, and you're right, there's people who've grew up rough & made straight honest people, but it's all mental make up in my opinion some will think f*ck it im going to be ruthless and get by anyway I can, some will look round themselves and think I don't want no part of this and work honestly from the bottom of the ladder to the top, and some like Tyson will take years to calm down, if they ever do,

Their a big old unit they have funny mannerisms as well as I’ve bumped into s few cabbying around etc. In my role I often work as part of a smaller team well away from the main battle group footprint , kind of enabling objectives , pre setting conditions for the exercise. Ive been inbthe back of hiluxs in very remote areas of the training areas when you can hear the cackles and see them over the night vision. Villages such as Archers post and isiola will often have a dead hyena in the roads around them indicating a scavenger existence. I was once sat in a wired squ

  34. They'll be a minimum of 76 when they might be considered for release. It's kind of like a lingering death sentence. Serves the blighters right. But that's their mindset similar to the Rotherham abuse. No mention of how the seriously injured are and the effect of the on going problemsof the neighbours ànd damaged builings. If theße three owned the building, who is now responsible for repair and renovaation of the buildings. ? No doubt that any insurance clàim or liability will be classed as void or invalid by a criminal act. Imagine how your life would be affected by someone blowing up
