Hands up all the lads that just happen to have a few spare terriers lying about doing nothing that they fancy giving away to random people on the internet. ???. Come on now lads surely there’s got to be hundreds I’m going to breed a litter in the spring and give them all to folks of here. ???5 points

I've ran Beardies crossed for some time, dam an daughter, not DH. I don't recognize the majority of comments about them posted here. They were rabbit bitches but never had an issue with "accidents" and always just got in with the job in hand. DBP comments about weirdies affected opinions and DH continually breeding from untried stock with OBVIOUS temperment issues have effectively f****d this cross. They are a good thing particularly on heather but need loads of mental stimulation as they're high drive things, the huffy, stalking , aggressive blah blah I simply have never seen. My bi5 points

Was chatting to a keen fellah t'other day,...he had purchased an exceptional coursing Greyhound bitch from Ireland... She was not cheap,...? His next stop was to secure the services of a top-class battle dog, via Croatia,...obviously a serious kinda lurcher enthusiast... I suppose, if that is what you want, ya might as well go full on to establish a good starting point for a future line... Good luck to him,.it is a long old project,... but, that will to win, often secures a victory...?5 points

What a grand winter day. Bitter cold breeze, frost and sun. Ideal I thought for a black powder gun. Loaded the 45 with ball first, just on a few thin cards and one on top to hold it in. The first shot, a forty yarder the ball just snook over its head, a belting looking rabbit as well. I stalked into the cold wind but was not seeing many rabbit but what I did see were out of the wind so I got to a sunny bank side out of the wind and sure enough in the sun was a bunny all of ten yards away! A blackbird was betraying me and the rabbits ears were listening intently! Eventually4 points

I hope a hard brexit too. See I don’t mind hard times for a bit If it means that our kids n grand kids have a better self controlled country to live in that protects them. If the people of both world wars were selfish we would be speaking German and thanks to them we had a decent place to call home. Remember he who dares wins4 points

A friend of mine has just bought quite legally from the states a couple of ounces of CBD,said it's great, makes him feel really relaxed and very calm, cost him £50 an ounce and came couriered labelled as industrial hemp product with certification as to its THC/CBD% I had a chat with a farmer from the states recently who offers Lb's of current marketable full spectrum strains wedding cake, sherbalato etc for $500,prices are plummet,it's greedy UK retailers that sell CBD same price as UK street cannabis,I saw £30 kilos a month back,it's crazy4 points

My wife took my daughter to a party on Saturday so I took my boy, Will, to cut some wood at a local farm. Pulling into a sidling I noticed a doe up on a bank browsing the brambles in the sunshine only 200m away. I didn’t have the rifle with me but keep a spare pair of bins in my truck and my lad was in raptures about seeing it and asked if we were going to stalk it. He’s only 6 - a year younger than I was when I first went out with my dad and while it may have been a little early the conditions were perfect. Besides, he’s seen plenty of deer in the various stages of lardering and process3 points

It's quite sad how the pest control industry has gone,30 odd years ago when I started with local authority paper work was a small part of the job, now I spend more time filling in paper work and the next course you need to go on is always just round the corner,I would try and do a couple of weekends with pest controler before you burn your bridges with your present career.3 points

I don’t blame the Eu they’ve their own interests to protect. I do hold it against our government for pandering to them when they should just say no deal and gis a ring when yas wanna talk but we’re out now go bollix yourselves. And start bigging up the uk again instead of acting like a bunch of hurt tranny snowflakes3 points

As said above we regularly get emails and phone calls asking for a job. Most set out what a good chap they are and then tell me about their experience with ferrets and shooting stuff with air rifles. Years ago having some sporting experience may of got you through the door, the company would then have trained you up. Times have changed. Having helped a gamekeeper or set a snare is of no interest to a pest control company. It's easier for a double glazing sales man to get in there than a sporting chap. You will always need to concentrate on people skills, sales and health and safety.3 points

I lament I can not use a muzzle loading rifle for hunting and archery equipment. I also lament that we can not hunt with handguns or even hunt deer with pistol calibre carbines/rifles......legally! U.3 points

The plan is to work her and if she'll kill foxes and stays sound physically for a few seasons then I will retire her and breed a few litters out of her to a proper stock bull then back to her best son, but if she's got no balls she won't just be given a pass because she's a greyhound, I haven't worked a adult of either type but have spoke to people who have (both types) a good one of both types will kill foxes but physically the coursing bred greyhound is much bigger and heavier set and can reach 100+ you wont see many if any racers past 80-85 pound2 points
