Took the old girl out again to a small copse I`ve been watching closely. I`ve noticed the pigeons are dropping into this tiny copse around 11-30 am after their first feed. After almost a fortnight of no hunting due to the wet weather I managed to get out for the last hour today on the old golf club perm. To say it was like a swamp would be an under statement. A friend brought his meat slicer round today and we took one of the new hams down and sliced it for bacon. The bacon slicer was an Andrew James at appx £60. It did very well with a large lump of meat though we were careful the motor didn't get too warm. It might have been fine, but I did't want it ruining our fun.
