So I called into Tesco this afternoon to grab some cider ... and parked there was the fella that's travelling Britain in a mobility scooter to raise money for help for heros, saga and lifeboats ... he has got a little trailer thing that hooks on the back that he lives out of ... anyway he looked cold and miserable so when I got home the missus plated him up a pork Sunday roast and we took it down to him and had a bit of a natter with him ... he has raised £79,000 so far ...... here is the link if any of you good lads want to donate ..... http://www.aroundbritain.org.uk/15 points

Took the old girl out again to a small copse I`ve been watching closely. I`ve noticed the pigeons are dropping into this tiny copse around 11-30 am after their first feed. We were waiting in a makeshift natural hide I`ve had in place a good fortnight now just by the waters edge. Here`s the copse. Full gillie suit as well in the hide. Kaiser retrieving to hand, - he missed nothing. Here`s the end result, a nice winters ba8 points

Really do your homework if your gifting them, because every broke dick will give you a good story to get it. Or the person will take it and sell it..that is what sucks about free items..6 points

Had a trip to glasson dock armed with some herring and writhin a couple of hours I bagged myself my first pike. I called over another fisherman and he shown me the correct way to handle the fish for unhooking. (Beer owned)? Unfortunately I don't have any scales so I don't no the weight altho I'm pretty certain it's over double figures. . Anyway guys thanks for looking and enjoy the pic.5 points

After almost a fortnight of no hunting due to the wet weather I managed to get out for the last hour today on the old golf club perm. To say it was like a swamp would be an under statement. I didn't bother with the lamp, just keep it simple and try to spot anything before dark........easier said than done. All the usual spots where you can guarantee seeing rabbits were completely bare, mainly due to, I think, the excessive amount of rain we've had. So, off I head to the top of the course that's right on the cliffs and is usually blowing like mad and there were more rabbits up there t4 points

I did it to raise awareness of the mans journey ... what he is doing for these charities and to raise awareness hence posting the link to his website in the hope that a few people off her might give a donation and perhaps if anybody on here sees him on his long journey they to may think about giving the fella a meal a flask of tea or just stop for a chat ..... there's a local homeless chap in my town ... last year I gave him a practically brand new £70 sleeping bag because I wasn't going to use it and I walked out of a shop and seen him laying on the floor shivering in the next door doorway .3 points

A friend brought his meat slicer round today and we took one of the new hams down and sliced it for bacon. The bacon slicer was an Andrew James at appx £60. It did very well with a large lump of meat though we were careful the motor didn't get too warm. It might have been fine, but I did't want it ruining our fun. The bacon was so nice, I had it for dinner and then again for tea with a egg.3 points

Fair play. The working terrier of all breeds would be in a much better place if everyone had your thinking. But, thread carefully as there's a lot of chancers out there who see the Border as a money maker. Choose carefully.2 points
