Tor Tigger x Kim father daughter double bred back to Tigger a decent animal that I didn’t really give as much as I do normally in his first season but what he done he handled it well ...looking forward to this season he has matured into a nice hound10 points

I would say it's very strange for somebody to just take that off and walk away and leave it ... I would think some poor f****r is lying with a broken leg or head injury not that far from where you found the bag ... I would be tempted to tell the police so they can organise a search .....8 points

Very strange..., not the sort of thing that would just get dumped. My money is on the owner hanging from a tree. In this case I might be tempted to tell the police. Might bring someone a bit of peace sooner rather than later.4 points

4 months there still finding their legs and exploring the world, some don't have any prey drive yet,its all a game.Let him be a pup.You could start with a rabbit skin on a rope and pole, always make it fun and praise him.Dogs from hunting lines may start earlier but once he gets the idea he wont look back. Not many whippets won't chase when older.4 points

Small dogs struggle to see what you can with the hieght advntage. But acword of warning theres not much worse than a young dog seeing too many of them impossible rabbits sat a foot of a hedge in daytime. Sure way to get a dog pulling up at cover that is.4 points

What a load of shite!! You sound like an anti who’s been reading to much false news articles. I run dogs I don’t go out armed. In fact I’ve got all my permission from been caught poaching so definitely can’t be dangerous either. You get the odd bad apple in all walks of life don’t tar us all with the same brush.4 points

One thing I'd like to do is help out the town football team. Its all rugby in my town and nobody apart from the boys that play / run the club really care about the club. Lucky to get 2/3 people not affiliated with the team watching home games . Its run solely by the players and I'd like to buy them a mini bus to travel to away games . Saves them all on petrol and would be ideal all travelling together. Every away game is 45 mins+ away from here . Few more little things like buy a new kit and bits and bobs for the boys . Also paying the tab on end of season piss up would go down well3 points

I,m suspecting someone watched bear gryls thought I could do that, then thought f**k that I,m off home when it started raining, the woods are private and not somewhere I ever see anyone else, but I,d hate to think I,ve left someone in there that may have been in a bad place and needed help, I may pop back later with the thermal and have a quick scan around just to put my mind at rest3 points

I,m as dry as toast, if I had a million I could last without working for two or three lifetimes, but if I wanted to build an empire, that would be 4 average homes in Bristol outright purchase, roughly 15 percent in equity per year and around 5 grand a month in rent, that would do me nicely, what a mad world we live in when people are saying a million quid ain't enough,3 points

What's that supposed to mean .I've dug my fair share without collars mate but I know my limitations and would never knowingly put a dog to ground without a collar unless I knew the place and yes I still do it .Just stating fact that you can't disagree with ,no need for smart remarks .You've stated you couldn't hear a thing at 6m which could of very easily turned nasty .Egos can and do kill dogs something I've never done .3 points

That my good man is the most perfect of days and like i said before i sure haven't ment them any dissrespect if Blasie has taken it that way,i just thought with the locator it would be better all round.Still do as it goes ?as like FD says they won't drop into some places due to it and those times when they do dig to a dead dog it maybe could have been saved with a locator??,i ask my dogs to do more than i ever would myself and they do so happily so it's the least i can do it do my very best to protect them when they do go under ground and without a locator you cannot say no matter how many fol3 points

As I interprate the rules in France, collars can be used, but not in the pursuit of hunting, only in the job of finding a lost terrier. ie: you cant search for a dog to be able to dig it for hunting. But when you have lost your dog, you can switch on the finder to retrieve your dog. IMO this keeps the fieldcraft alive of listening.finding a dog at work without being lazy and switching on an electronic device. Apparently it was the french who voted against the use of electronic collars for HUNTING. But ok for RESCUING. Also the country has a strong sense of solidarity. Just look at wha3 points

All comments above covers ur question, to young yet and even if e sees them he has the frustration off trying to catch them which either leads to pulling up or barking after them, a Dummy or rope and general walks he will pick the scent and coming into October/ November u may start to see a change2 points

Remember a few years back the old Scottish couple won a 110million on the euro lotto. That's a fair wedge. In that position I'd automatically give 50 million away to various good causes change family and friends life's and the odd total strangers just to feel good. Then I'd find a wee war somewhere and fund it just for my own amusement lol2 points

England win 2nd Test by an innings and 159 runs, and lead the series 2-0. Not bad for a supposedly shite side against the no.1 ranked team !2 points

I have gundogs and hens, handy for steadying pups which can only be a good thing. I'm guessing you're worried your dog doesn't have the desired interest in wild game if constantly being told to leave birds alone. Won't be a problem, you'll be surprised how quickly and readily the differentiate between the two.2 points

Well said Phil, this topics is full of romanticism and I feel people are talking of the old school taking a few local birds of the estate for his family and then in the next breath the media image of organised criminals that have moved to poaching ... Reads like a fairy tale2 points

There is no such thing as poor nowadays in Britain. There was poverty when I was young . But not anymore. If people are hungry now it’s because they can’t manage money properly. We are all caught in a rat race , created by the global corporations . Where we have to have the latest car , phone training shoes TV , foreign holidays. It’s all bollocks . You can be happy with very little . All you need is family, health and food on the table and a roof over your head . I feel genuinely sorry for people “waiting “ to win the lottery. The fact is the chances of winning are minuscule .2 points
