  1. Well the weather was stunning this afternoon after the lashing we got here last night and this morning so off I went to a perm I'd visited last week and had a mixy rabbit and Maggie from. As soon as I pulled up there was two rabbits not bothered about me about 25 yards out so I hopped out of the van, checked through the scope and sure enough....riddled with mixy, so the r10 put them to sleep..........followed by another 5, all with medium to late stages of mixy. No pics of the infected as we all know how shitty they look but while waiting for some Maggie's to come in I did manage to grab

  2. Come on now FD, read your post again and think about it. You might see it's not true. If human error includes putting a terrier to ground because you might never see it again then every single one of us is guilty of that but I know that not what you meant. There are umpteen causes for loosing a terrier to ground that are out of the terriermans hands, even though there are several bad habits a lot of terriermen have that don't help a terrier. But I don't agree that a terrier being lost is always the terriermans fault, in fact it's a silly statement.

  4. Mate I do a lot of cheeky things with my money all within legal limits, I have no problem with someone managing to keep more of theirs........ However... this cnut and the rest of the fuuckwit bunch have been telling us all that we need to give money to some pot bellied child in the bushveld, allow rape loving ecconomic migrants in to our countries and stop the rich abusing third world countries in regards to tax avoidance... for the last fuucking 30 years! The words HYPOCRISY and HYPOCRITE don't even come close to covering it

  9. Definitely not like beef. It's got a little more flavor to it. If you get them out of the corn they are better but what isn't. I got my last bear out of the big North woods and swamps and it was mediocre at best. I fed most of it to the dogs. I've had a couple of bears that were good and they both came out of the corn fields. Hunting bear in corn is a good way to loose a tough dog. Most of them just have to be run across a lane in the corn where they can be shot. You feel a good old rush having a bear fly past your legs one or two rows from where your standing. If the bear doesn't wac

Which was a nice little 4 holer I have a dog so got a nice a mark so pretty perfect situation After a little hesitation in he went then a few seconds later rumble rumble out comes the rabbit with the ferret right behind The ferret is quite a steady good sized fella so the time just seemed right. Great fun starting the young stock off

After 3 months he can stand it no longer, and sneaks off in the night to the camel enclosure, and fulfills his manly urge. The following morning, he is called to the CO who wants to know what he was doing there. The legionnaire says "You told me that I should make use of the camels, sir." The CO says "I did - but most of us ride them into town !"

  17. Wee picture of my 11 month old bitch Sadie. Amsaff x staffy. Good wee dog, very obedient and eager to please. Comes everywhere with me even lamping and helps out when ferreting. I picked a bigger stronger bitch and my wee girl grabbed the smallest pup which was the runt of the litter. Stuck with her now.

  18. I didn't think you were by your 'out of touch' responses. Lads all over Britain dig sand earths week in, week out. I don't know what sand you dig in and for which quarry. But over here in most places it doesn't run in on you and is only as dangerous as any other earth a terrier enters. Yes, of course sand can suffocate a dog but that's the game we're in I'm afraid. I've had 3 different days out when a terrier has been killed, and none were in sand.

  21. Being a busy few days. me and a mate went out friday and had two digs and a bolt. first place we dug my hairy dog in a big rangy place that can run up to 10ft we ended up digging him at just over 6ft and he never put a foot wrong. second place we tried was with my first season dog. this place was a big step up from any place he was ever in before rangy but only runs to around 4/5 ft. let him of the lead and he skips past one or 2 holes and in. got a mark of 3.8ft dug down to him and he wedged in tight with 2 infront of him. then on to the next place another big rangy place but only shallow. dr

  23. Sorry to read this Lee, i had been following the pups progress. Sometimes , despite all our best efforts fate deals us a shit hand. I think it's bad form and timing for people to be having a dig. We weren't there . Chin up mucker.

  24. I don't agree with that at all. I have mates that the only ground they have is in sand and soft ground. IMO I think it's one of the best things to get a youngster going, it's easy to dig through and makes minimal sound above the dog and it's quarry so doesn't spook the quarry.

That story in the paper is so full of holes it’s breathtaking ! ”last one to leave”......at 5:30!!......I f***ing doubt that, the head teacher will still be in there at 7 dealing with some of the 300 emails they can get in any given day from various government bodies. there is almost always a rigorous support system for NQTs......there has to be or the OFSTED score go’s down the toilet He is a prick......most teachers are legends.

  33. Yea I think your right , at present our politicians are struggling too maintain there 'own personal' future interests in very uncertain times for 'them', they are struggling too control the masses whose votes they so badly desire, drugs legislation can be equally a vote winner and looser, no one who really has a stake wants to be the one too say 'f*ck it lets go take the cash' maybe one more generation or so before it becomes a reasonable debate here, although the rumblings are already around and have been for some while Any place that has seen changes in the law and even just more tole

I have a local butchers where I get beef mine 5lb for £1.25 I use another place for the rest of my raw which is lamb, tripe, chicken carcus, ducks neck, heart liver etc and they also sell a few of there mixed meat packs also which is mostly a combination of two meats. I fill my freezer with mackerel thro the summer and that tends to last me all winter also. I also like to feed all table scraps even if be a take away. Veg when ever I can and I like to chuck in

  37. It is a tricky one for sure. I have seen my old hob who is dead now chase my 26 inch lurcher around the yard. The dog did his best to get out the way but in the end started snarling over his shoulder and I got hold of the ferret sharpish before the dog did. My old jill on the other hand the dog will let her walk around his feet no problem as he trusts her. The two young hobs he don't trust and I don't let them mix. In the field all is well because he can get out the way

  38. hi bud, there's a few ways to fish for pike, spinner/lure or live/dead bait, in which case i've always had a few rods for each, i have a 10ft telescopic spinning rod for the spin/lure fishing and a carp rod for live/dead bait fishing, in the past i haven't been a fan of the telescopic rods, but i found a rod made by diawa, and it's been a really good rod, i'm not too sure of the make of the carp rod, it but i think it's a 2 1/2- 2 7/5 test curve, the reason for a few rods are the length of the rod butts, the spinning rod butt is a lot shorter making it easier to cast spinners/lures, where as (

  44. No objection to that. The tax burden always falls on those least able to pay. One of the biggest problems we face is tax avoidance by the corporates and the ultra rich. There will be far fewer jobs available in the coming decades as a new industrial revolution takes hold and computers displace people. Hence talk of a minimum income guarantee for everybody. Excellent, except they are only talking about 5 grand per individual. I have no objection to a royal family. If you get a bang out of them fine. I do object to every man woman and child paying for their upkeep. Even if it is only 62 pen
