I can't stick people who ask me to do a job then lecture me on pest control and try and prove they know more than me. "See mate I could of sorted this rat issue myself (even though it's gone on for 3 years) cos I know all about rats as I used to go shooting. I know how they don't have a skeleton/can chew through concrete/are immune to normal poison/are repelled by chilli flakes. But like yeah I just thought I'd phone you"8 points

Mr bothers bother in law fell 30 foot through a roof light mate, he had just left us to work for another company... me and my wife were at the hospital when we got the news, all of us thought he was dead..no one survives that! He wasn't and he's now fine, suffered a lot of bruising internal and external and a few small minor breaks, he is so lucky to be alive! I've fallen twice and been lucky to get away with nothing, when we started we didn't even use scaffolds or safety nets, looking back it's funking stupid! I never put anyone working for me at risk, always full scaffold and netting,7 points

Dirty b*****ds !4 points

Had a lot of mullet up the river (Exe) mainly on maggot, but ad you know Arry a meps spinner infront of a single hook carrying harbour rag is deadly for thin lips up the river, spun slowly back to you... I guess imitating this set up with a fly could work? Or using a maggot immatation and fishing around the weed edges? I've only done a little fly fishing, but this year we've had loads of bass off the boat, all on lures and some very close and surface feeding... I'm very tempted to get a fly set up and practice for a bit of sport next summer, I'd guess a Sandeel or white bait type im4 points

Up at the shoot for first light this morning, stunning morning very cold and still, bumped into a young fallow that had been practicing his rutting and had managed to obscure his vision with so rather fetching head gear4 points

They found enough in the pit strike i reckon the army should be used to confront this protest the left would be screeming out for it to be banned like they were on the EDL protests if it was the other way around.3 points

Looks wise the prosport was one of my all time favourites...but Ive killed more stuff with an old mk1 tx200 I owned for 17 yrs(split the stock in half and repaired it myself )than any other gun ive owned, but my gasram Hw80 and Scirocco 2000 are catching up...as for pcps...ive had logans, webley, bsa, Rapids, few different hw100's,falcon fns,s410's,rm8 and a load more..I always go back to the springers/gasrams,no f***ing about then and jamming pellets when the pressure drops..I took a punt a few months ago and bought an Armetis M30..had a few teething problems to start, so sanded down the stoc3 points

Me and the lad had a week up in North Wales over half term mainly just walking about with the dogs. Mate of mine offered us a day out on his boat so off we went. Had some cracking bass between 3-4lb. Mainly caught on live sand eel and live prawn. Stopped off at a spot and caught a load of mackerel and herring to stock up on bait. The boy landed his first bass over 5lb caught on a live mackerel so he was happy. Had some nice pollock and wrasse too all caught on live prawn. Weather held off and it was definitely one of the best days fishing we’ve had.3 points

I've mentioned it on here, years ago, but I once owned a GSD bitch, years ago. She developed a severe colitis. At the time there was no cure. I put a lot of care and training into her, so wasn't prepared for the vet's recommendation to have her pts, at about 5 months. Anyway, a mate of mine took her off me, a while later, to guard his allotment and a few kennels. One of his lurchers, collie/grey xwhip/grey mated with her, and he kept a bitch pup from that litter, and lamped her with a fair amount of success. A couple of years later, he bred her with the sires litter broth3 points

The Liverpool manager flies to Kabul to watch a young Afghani play football. He is suitably impressed and arranges for the player to come over. Two weeks later Liverpool are 2-0 down to Newcastle with only 20 minutes left The manager gives the young Afghani striker the nod, and on he goes. The lad is a sensation. He scores 3 goals in 20 minutes and wins the game for Liverpool . The fans are delighted, the players and the coach are delighted and the media love the new star. When the player comes off the pitch he phones his mum to tell her about his first day in Englis3 points

I've not had the kayak out this year Arry, got a small boat in Exmouth Docks with my brother, so we've made use of that, getting lazy! Lol I agree though, even off the shore when the mackerel are driving the whitebait up the beaches would be great fun on a fly rod, not like you need to cast far is it!2 points

Phil I know jack shit about Fly fishing but would have fancied a go at one time. But I have had some good Mullet over times gone by over 6lb and some of my mates have had them bigger. In the brackish waters several miles in land the main bait is bread flake and I have heard them come on maggot. In salt water a mile from the mouth of a river or an estuary ( Salcombe being brilliant for mullet) then top bait imo is a fillet of Sprat. Stitched in and out up the line then pushed down onto the hook to form sort of a ball. We would free line that just behind the weed line on a rising tide cracking2 points

Well, hard to say really, I went to lot of places, he had roe, cwd, fallow. Munjack. What I got went in me freezer, it was great to somthing, more so if I had travled 6 hours round trip, and come back happy. As long as he caught something That's all that mater to me, not how many he caught. But where he really came into his own. Was going in cover day /night, he smash through any thick cover to get his quarry, he had few munjack in woods, that takes good dog to do that, his nose was brill finding them, I think got most pleasure, seeing him do that, coming out either dead munjack, or a fo2 points
