I made a diy awning from an old flames creed tarp some tarp poles and mini clamps and wanted test it out. Only cost me £28 to make it. Wasn't bad but needs tweeking. Had burgers on firebox and a few beers and wander with catty and take in the solitude and moors. Didn't see one person or motor , just perfect !

Was a real eye opener mate I,ve met a few but this guy was definitely the real deal learned quite a bit but was just impressive watching him read the land even with dog or deer tracks he could tell how old they were and show the effects of time and weather on the prints we followed some munti tracks for a while even showed when it had stopped to drink from a tiny puddle he could identify which foot was which and the rough height of the animal by the size of its stride etc was like a good day at school mate ?

  21. You should do it and do it while you are still youngish. If you start too old it might be hard getting used to it. I've lived like this for a while in Oz and at 60 still going good atm. When I get too old it might be too much but hopefully I die suddenly before that happens, lol.

  32. It is amazing habitat mate..and yet they are caught on trail cams it seems with ease.. The so called expert that says there's 500 in the uk..Well why doesent he catch a clear pic on a trail cam..or catch 1 in a cage and prove to everyone that there's cats here.. The simple answer is he can't because they ain't here..

  40. It's probably good that less pups are being bred, hopefully the ones left are in the hands of serious hunters and while it might be harder to find one, the working ability and health will be in them. Less unsatisfied owners and less inferior dogs destined for the pound or ground.

  42. Another thing that doesn't add up. Well for me anyways. The stories about people letting out their pet leopards etc, back in the day, when laws changed How come we haven't read about stories of these pets turning up at people's doorsteps? Yes we read about them being released in quiet places, away from people etc. Well how vast is the British countryside? I'm sure these cats can travel a fair distance, within a few days. Any recent escapee's, seem to turn up close to built up area's, fairly quickly, and are delt with. Why not all these cats released in the seventies? Th

  43. The snow leopard—Panthera uncia—is the world's most elusive and least-studied big cat. It lives in remote mountain ranges across Central Asia, inhabiting an area that spans 600,000 square miles across 12 countries. And yet within a few weeks maybe even days.. people have caught pics of them on trail cams.. "The world's most elusive big cat" And yet not a single quality image of a big cat taken in the uk..not even a kitten has been pictured.. And there's nearly 70 million people living in the uk maybe half the population owns a modern mobile phone with a high quality camera..

  44. When i see dogs like Wales 123 or that lad that put a clip up of his dogs on the hills them dogs do some miles and seriously graft for there catch were a decent lamp dog will kill 3/4 times more a week but not put the same mileage in its a bit of a double edge sword one runs miles for a kill the other takes 2/3 a night and is a better dispatcher neither could do what each does I would guess it whats suits your needs but a good for dog is just that a good dog

  46. Well, it just so happens one of the pieces of land I am in negotiations for has a bigger pond on it that is chocked with weed so I'm planning in getting digger in and clearing that out then moving my fish. ? I never thought I would leave this place but as much as I love it, it's only a pile of bricks. So long as my misus and kids are with me anywhere can become home.
